2307 A.D...
Just above the Earth's stratosphere...

A Red and white object could be spotted floating above the stratosphere of the Earth. Upon a closer inspection, it looked like a humanoid mecha and mounted onto its right arm was a large physical blade that was folded to the back of its arm while attached to its left arm was a shield. It was a kind of "Mobile Suit", giant-sized Mechanoids used for battle and other services. It just seemed to be drifting there, completely motionless but on the inside of its cockpit, located just underneath the green-colored orb on the chest, a young man wearing a primarily red and black piloting outfit with some white accents sat there silently. He seemed to have been in a sleeping state. As he sat there, he could hear a particular voice in his head, that of a young girl.

(Flashback)

August 6th, 2295 A.D...
Krung Thep...

Girl: "You don't know your name?" Sitting underneath a tree in a quiet part of the Space Colony known as Krung Thep, a duo of a very young girl and a very young boy sat underneath a tree together, the latter of the two's clothing being a bit more dirty. The boy shook his head with a quiet sigh.

Boy: "I don't... I don't know who my parents are too... All I know is that I was born in this... Colony..." The girl fell silent and looked down, feeling sad for the boy. Being as young as she was, she was not very knowledgeable on how to deal with a situation like this but suddenly her face lit up as her eyes widened.

Girl: "'Asha'!" She suddenly said, which caused the boy to looked at her in confusion.

Boy: "H-Huh?" She looked at him with a beaming smile.

Girl: "You're name! My mama told me that the name 'Asha' means 'Hope and Life'. It works, right?"

Boy: "U-Um... Isn't that a girl's name?"

Girl: "Nope! Mama said that 'Asha' can work for both boys and girls! You like it??"  She asked him, moving closer to him as she suddenly took both of his hands.

The boy was taken aback but when he had locked his sapphire blue eyes with her turquoise ones, he felt his heart flutter and that beaming smile of hers... A faint pink hue appeared on his cheeks. He felt as if he didn't even have a choice anymore. He couldn't help it as he smiled...

Asha: "Yeah... I like it."  The girl's grin grew bigger, showing off her pure white teeth to him.

Girl: "Hehe!"  She suddenly began to stand, surprising the boy as he was gently pulled up onto his feet as well. "Wanna meet my mama and papa?"

Asha: "O-Oh... I'm not sure..."  He tried to dismiss it and turned away but yelped as he was now being dragged along by the girl, who held his hand firmly.

Girl: "Don't worry! They're very nice people! They'll love you!"  She said as the boy was just speechless. As his legs began to follow behind hers, the female spoke up again as she stopped and looked back at him. "My name's Feldt, by the way! 'Feldt Grace'!"

(End of Flashback)

??? thoughts: "'Asha Daiki'... meaning 'Big Shining Hope of Life'. The name that was given to me by them... the people I cared for the most..."  A flash of memories flew through his mind... The young man sitting in the cockpit of the Mobile Suit clenched his fists as he slowly opened his oceanic blue eyes.

Asha's thoughts: "Mister Ruido... Miss Marlene... and of course... her... You both may not be with us anymore, Mister Ruido and Miss Marlene... but I've sworn to bear this name as a constant reminder of the kindest you both have shown me for the brief time I've been in your care... But most importantly... it reminds me of why've I've chosen to become a 'Gundam Meister' of 'Celestial Being'.. To protect her... your daughter and my best friend... Feldt Grace. No matter what, I and my Gundam will make sure nothing happens to her."

Bringing him out of his thoughts, the console in front began to beep and displayed the face of a slightly older female with long curly brown hair and eyes. Her name was "Sumeragi Lee Noriega".

Sumeragi: "Asha, it's time. Start descending to Setsuna and Lockon's coordinates."  She spoke. The male was silent before he released a relaxed breath and cracked his knuckles. Then, he smirked slightly.

Asha: "I hear you, ma'am. Oh, and tell Feldt to not try and steal my stash of snacks again."  He said. The woman from the other side of the communications link sweat dropped and laughed a bit nervously.

Sumeragi: "Ahaha..."

???: "What's that supposed to mean?"

A more stoic voice suddenly interjected as next to Sumeragi's image, another one appeared, this time of a girl roughly Asha's age, with shoulder-length pink hair and turquoise eyes. This was the girl named "Feldt Grace". Upon seeing her, Asha laughed a bit.

Asha: "Haha, I was just kidding, Feldt! Relax!"  He said as he could hear another girl's laughter from the background. Feldt slightly sighed and shook her head.

Feldt: "Baka."  Was all she said before both she and Sumeragi's images disappeared. The male shook his head with a smile before he gripped the controls of the Mobile Suit, he rode in.

Asha: "Anyways, let's get this started."  He took a deep breath before his smile faded away and his expression turned serious.  "Gundam Vega, Asha Daiki. Racing to the target."

The eyes on the machine known as the Vega lit up in a greenish-white glow as the mechanical humanoid moved.

The engine from the back began to make whirling noises as green particles began to emit from it. Soon enough, the Vega blasted itself down to earth while moving it's shield in front of itself as it was engulfed in a fiery hue.

It was from then on, the world would begin its process of changing. The moment the "Gundams" descended.
