I woke up in the middle of nowhere. It was like a desert-like place but with one dead tree. I looked around and tried to think of what happened before I went to sleep but nothing. Suddenly I heard a female voice but it wasn't very clear but my vision begin to bur more and more until my whole vision there was nothing to look at.

Kenji: "Hu...Huh?"

???: "Commander! Please respond! We've been shot down!" It was the same voice that I heard before I woke up.

???: "BA-01 down! BA-01... Useless piece of...!" My eyes went to the figure which was a woman who was looking down at me with a worried expression on her face.

???: "Commander! I can't get through to the Ark! Commander?" She asked and suddenly my heart was beginning to stop and she immediately noticed.

???: "No! You're going into cardiac arrest...!"

Kenji: 'C-Crap!'

???: "AED...! AED...! Charging...! Clear!" And...

Kenji: 'I should've told her that I'm alive...'

???: "Commander! Are you okay? Can you hear me? Smile if you can hear me!"

Kenji: 'Smile? Ha... That's cute...' I smiled at the comment that the woman just said.

???: "Thank goodness you smiling! Can you tell me which section you're from?"

Kenji: "Central Government. Nikke Management Department." 'Wait... That's not what I want to say...'

???: "All right then, you and at 'em. Raise your arms." I did what I was told and she grabbed my wrist letting me up.

???: "STR cleared! Great...! Everything is normal! Commander, can you hear me?" 'Realizing now that she's calling me commander, what year is this...?'

???: "We were attacked on route to our destination. The transport ship is down. Any Rapture within a hundred-mile radius must have heard that explosion and is headed our way." 'Rapture? What the hell are those?!'

???: "I realize this is all a bit sudden, but I am now under your command. You're giving the orders. Can you do it?"

Kenji: "I'll do my best."

???: "Yes, Commander! Time to get to work. Keep your head down. Please don't worry." She gets close to my face, "I will protect you. No matter what happens."

Suddenly I saw a screen in front of me with a name called 'Marian' and all of the information about this Marian.

Marian: "Marian, activating combat mode." She said the exact name that was shown on the screen. It seems that she doesn't notice the screen that is in front of her.

*BOOM*

I looked over at the explosion that was, hell, close to the both of us and Marian pushed me so I was on the ground on my stomach I suddenly saw a few mechanical robots and I heard Marian shooting her gun which looked like a Submachine Gun then she got into cover and looked at me causing her body to shake including her... assets.

Kenji: 'Those going to be the life of me if I focus on them too much.' I looked back at the Raptures analyzing every bit of them.

Marian: "Commander?" Marian called out to me as I looked back at her with a curious look on my face.

Marian: "You seem... rather focusing on the raptures than the situation right now..." Suddenly I summoned my katana and thrust it in the air creating a red and black circle...

Marian: "Hu-Huh?!" Marina's shock was interrupted by Raptures exploding everywhere around the area and one of the Rapture's heads was next to Marian as the eye was still red until a split second it was disabled.

Marian: "Th-That's incredible..."Marian shuttered her own words and looked at me as my katana disappeared.

Kenji: "So... We should get going, we don't want to run into more of them." I said grabbing Marian's hand it seems like she was still in shock until I snap her back to reality.

Marian: "Y-Y-Yes, Of course, Commander!"

Marian: "It should be somewhere around here... Huh? Where is everyone? Did the plan change the transport ship crashed?" Suddenly both of us heard a sound that sound like there was a gunfight.

Marian: "Commander, there's gunfire! Let's go check it out!" I nodded an response. We saw two female soldiers with Assault Rifle which seem to be Rocket Launcher.

??? #2: "How long are we going to wait here?!" 

??? #1: "Until they come."

??? #2: "We're sitting ducks out here!

??? #1: "We'll wait until they come."

??? #2: "Did you not see how hard they went down?! You saw that explosion! What are the odds of them coming out of that alive?"

??? #1: "We haven't received any confirmation of death."

??? #2: "What, so we're waiting here until we do?"

??? #1: "This is the rendezvous point. Leaving here would throw a wrench into the works."

??? #2: "This is absurd!" 

Marian: "Everyone!" Marian shouted at the two of them turning their heads and making the woman with the Rocket Launcher flinch.

??? #2: "Ah! You scared me!" 

Marian: "I'm Marian. The Commander is here with me."

??? #2: "Are you serious? How did you survive that explosion? I get that you're a Nikke, but isn't that one a human."

Kenji: 'Yeah... but no...'

??? #2: "Something's fishy about this one... Are you the Commander?"

Kenji: "Yeah, I am."

??? #1: "Excuse me for a moment." The lady with the red eyes went to close to me as,again, the screen showed up with the 'Rapi' and the rest of the information about her.

Rapi: "Commander identification code, read... The Squad 04-F Commander has changed." 

??? #2: "Rapi, we don't even know them! How could you..." The screen also says the name of the one holding the Rocket Launcher which read 'Anis'

Rapi: "Now's not the time argue! There are Raptures right ahead of us."

Anis: "Well... that much is true." Anis said and then Rapi turned to look at me.

Rapi: "From now on, you're in command. As the former Commander is usable to issue orders at present, no formal procedures are necessary to transfer authority. The situation is urgent. I'll explain the details once the battle is over."

Rapi: "You said your name was Marian? What branch are you from?"

Marian: "I belong to Silver Gun. I'm a Machine Gunner."

Anis: "...It checks out." She then turn to look at me and smile.

Anis: "All right, Commander. What's the next move?"

Rapi: "Awaiting your com-" Rapi was interrupted by all of the Rapture's body parts coming off with cuts from a katana.

Rapi: "The Raptures... Did it...?"

Anis: "What happened?! They were just shooting at us-!" Anis stopped where she was as she saw me with me putting my sword in the sheath, even Rapi and Marian noticed it.

Anis: "What the?! A human Commander... He didn't even have a katana in his hand a few seconds ago!"

Marian: "His movement was incredibly quick that I didn't even notice the katana." Marian said with a amazed tone in her voice as I looked around.

Kenji: "Let's go somewhere least dangerous. They could be more coming..."

Rapi: "Commander's right. Let's move to the commercial street. It's too dangerous here."
