26 || We're Loosing Her!
Del's P.O.V.
I get rushed to the hospital with wires and tubes attached to me. Everything they say seems so faint and I have no memories from the previous events. I turn my head over slightly to see Dally crying in a crying Charlies arms as a sobbing Steve gets held back by a crying Darry. I can slightly hear Steve yelling, "no! No! I have to see her! Please, I have to see her! Delilah! Delilah!"
I turn my head to look up at the ceiling and I close my eyes letting everything around me turn black.

Beeeeeeep!
I stand up and look over at myself laying on a hospital bed with my eyes close and my face pale as a doctor yells, "we're loosing her!"
"What?" I ask them. "I'm right here! Hello! Hello! Look at me!" I shake my head as I walk out of the room and into the waiting room finding the gang crying even Daisy is there in her hospital clothes sobbing on Dally's lap. "What's wrong? Guys! Will somebody answer me!"
"I can't loose her," Steve blubbers. "I love her."
"Hello," I wave my hand in front of him. "I'm right here! STEVE!"
"I know," Ali's voice cracks. "She's my sister."
"Alison, I'm right here," I sigh as I sit down rolling my eyes as I go through the chair. I stand back up with wide eyes, "oh my god! I'm a ghost! I'm dead! No! Nope! Can't be happening! I'm gonna prove it." I go to hug Stevie but fall on my stomach falling through the fall all the way to the bottom floor. I stand up shaking my head, "weird." I look over at the door to see Lacey and Lucy running through the door.
"Lacey, we gotta find them!" Lucy yells.
Lacey runs into the front desk, "where's Delilah Winston?"
The nurse glancing down at the desk, "she's on the fifth floor, but she's in surgery right now."
"Thanks," they yell as they charge upstairs with me trailing them.
As they burst through the door Lucy asks, "what happened? What happened to her?"
Steve looks up with watery eyes then back down as he sobs loudly. Two-bit steps forward, "she was doing what she always does. A few of us got together to play football after drinking. We all had our switch blades on us and she must of kept it in her bra. About ten minutes into the game she was acting funny, holding her chest and complaining about pain. When we asked her if she wanted to sit out she shook her head and continues to play. She was breathing funny, but refused to sit out. About twenty-five minutes into the game she passed out We ran over to her and we picked her up she was gushing blood out of her chest and her switch fell out of her shirt."
I gasp, "what? How can I be so stu-wait no, that sounds like me." I walk over to Steve and go to touch his cheek, but my hand goes right through him. I scream in frustration as I stomp back into the room. Beeeeeeeeeeeep! I scream loudly at them, "what the hell are you doing with your life? You have a fifteen year old dying here! Get your act together and revive me!"
Beep.........Beep.........Beep..............beep...........beep.
"Now that's what I'm talking about," I smile as I stare down at my body. I'm a bloody mess, but I still look good.
"We need to pick up her heartbeat," one of the doctors speak. "We could loose her any minute now."
"Wait," I look at myself. "If that's me and I'm alive. Why am I here?"
A doctor gasps looking down at my heart, "what is it we have here?"
I rush over to him looking down, but to me it's just blood, "I don't know. What? Tell me!"
"What is it?" One of the doctors asks.
"It seems like she has-" that's all I hear before falling back asleep.
*****************************************************************************************************
I look up at the bright light with my mom waiting at top of the stairs leading up to golden gates with a smile on her face like always. She walks down the steps and I see her wings, "mom?"
She smiles as she pulls me in for a hug, "hi my love."
I look around fighting back tears, "mom, where am I?"
"You're dead hunny," she speaks.
I shake my head as tears pour down my cheeks, "no! No! I'm not dead! No! I can't be. Please mom, tell me I'm not dead. Please. I can't be. I'm not even sixteen."
She pulls me in for a long hug, "I'm sorry love."
I sob into her chest, "mommy! What about Steve and Dally and Claire and Charlie and what about Daisy? Daisy needs me right now. I can't be dead."
"Daisy, will be fine trust me," she caresses my cheek. "Princess everything is gonna be okay."
"How can you say that when I'm dead?" I ask her through my tears. "You'r lying. Please you have to be lying." As I speak I flash in and out of the lighted staircase.
"Hun-......I'm sor-.......I lo-.......You'r-........revived.....by-....Love......Hu-"
"What's happening?" I ask flashing in and out.
"You're.......gonna.....live," she speaks slowly. "I......Love.....You."
*****************************************************************************************************Beep! Beep! Beep!
I groan as I sit up. I look around to see white walls, and a heart monitor. I then look down at my body to see all kinds of wires, needles, and tubes. I touch my mouth to find a breathing mask covering it. A few tears slide down my cheeks as Steve walks in. He smiles weakly when he sees me, "Del, you're up."
I smile back at him weakly, "I'm up, but why do I look like this?"
"We have to talk," he sighs fighting back tears as he sits down next to me.
"Steve?" I ask slowly trying not to cry. "What's wrong?"
He blinks back tears, "I have to be strong....I have to be strong for you, but Delilah, my love. You have heart cancer."
My eyes fills with tears as I look away placing a hand on my heart, "how?" I turn to Steve tears obvious in my eyes. "How is this possible Stevie? I was fine just a day ago. I was just fine. No! You're lying. You're lying to me! NO! I don't have cancer!"
He looks away as tears stream down his cheeks, "I'm so sorry."
"When did you find out?" I ask him slowly.
Dally's P.O.V.
After hours of sitting in the waiting room with the gang even Daisy as doctor comes out, "Delilah Winston."
The whole gang stands up and I walk over there with my family (Charlie, Daisy, and Claire), "is she okay?"
"She alive," he sighs. "Please sit down." Now everybody sits in a small room he guided us to. "Delilah Winston, survived the surgery, but we can across something alarming. It seems to us that Delilah has heart cancer."
I look away and grab Daisy's hand as we put our heads down trying not to cry, "how?"
The doctor shrugs, "it's impossible to find out, but she only has a few more months to live."
Daisy looks up, "when's her death date."
"We haven't decided yet," the doctor admits. "She's gonna get worse in between three and four months. We're gonna decide everything in two and a half months."
"Can I see her?" Dez chokes out.
"One visitor at a time," he speaks. "She's asleep right now, but when she wakes we'll have to tell her."
Steve shakes his head, "no, that's not right. It's not fair that somebody she doesn't know will have to tell her, I'll sit there and wait for her to wake up and then I'll tell her. I'll be the one to tell Delilah, the girl I love."
"There's also another thing we have to tell you," the doctor speaks. "We lost her twice. Once was for a long amount of time, eight minutes the other was only for five. She was legally dead twice."
Wow! I'm so sorry this is a short chapter. I mean normally my chapter average at 2,000 words, but this one is only like, 1,200 words. I mean I guess it's still kind of a long, but not for me. Well that's all for now, but stayed tuned.Do it for Johnny! Stay gold.
