Daisy's P.O.V.

"I got a call from Ponyboy telling us three to go to the Dingo like now," I inform Lacey and Lucy.

"I'll drive," Lucy offers considering she just got her licence.

"No!" Lacey and I both scream then look at each other laughing.

She pouts slightly, "why not? I passed."

"By one point," Lacey reminds her. "I'll drive. Will Two-bit be there?"

"The whole gang will," I chuckle.

"Johnny?" Lucy smiles.

I roll my eyes, "yes, he's in the gang. Now lets go."

"Whatever," Lucy laughs as we hop into Lacey's car driving down to the Dingo

. I walk over to Sodapop as we arrive pecking his lips, "hey baby."

"Oh hi Daisy," he smiles. "Is Lacey here....Lacey and Lucy here? Are they here?" He seems baffled and flustered by the time he finishes.

"Yea," I speak slowly. "Why?"

He looks at me reassuringly, "I love you Daisy."

"You sure?" I ask him. He looks at me questioningly. "I love you too."

He walks over to Lacey and sit down sighing as Charlie walks over to me, "don't worry kid, he loves you."

I turn around, "Charlie!"

"It's me kid," he hugs me.

I put my hands on her stomach, "oh my god. My-my sibling is in there."

"Her name is Claire," she smiles.

"A girl?" I ask.

She nods happily as Delilah, Dez, and Ali walk in along with the rest of the girls in the group home, "we found out yesterday."

"Wow, I wish I was there," I sigh.

"Hey, hey, look at me," she speaks softly. "You're here now and that's all that matters. We're gonna get you back. Dally and I are looking into how to get a licence to foster. Everything is gonna be okay."

Del hugs me from behind, "hey Daisy, I've missed you!"

"I missed ya too," I smirk.

Dally's P.O.V.

I watch as Soda hugs a cute little blonde tightly as she laughs loudly. I watch as she playfully hits him, "Soda stop that!"

"What if I don't want to?" He asks her.

"Isn't she dating Two-bit?" Darry comes up behind me.

"Isn't Soda dating Daisy?" I counter.

"He would never cheat on her," Darry looks over to see Sodapop hugging the blonde spinning her around as she giggles loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. "Right?"

I shrug as I walk over to Daisy, Charlie, an Del, "it's so nice to have all my girls together again, including Claire. I love you guys."

We all group hug and I hear a loud sigh from Daisy, "I miss this."

"Me too," I hear Charlie speak muffled.

"Don't we all," Del chuckles.

"Can we hang out for a bit?" I ask. "Just the family?"

"I'd love to," Del smiles.

I look over pointing at Johnny and his girl -I think- Lucy holding hands, "look at Johnny."

Daisy laughs as she yells, "get it Lucy!"

Lucy sticks the middle finger up at Daisy making her laugh, "shut your trap and look at Lacey!"

The tables eyes dart to Lacey who is all over Soda. Daisy stands up slamming her hands down on the table making us all jump, "that's the last straw! He's my boyfriend!"

Daisy's P.O.V.

I storm over to Soda who has Lacey all over him laughing, "what the hell is this? You guys are both taken and it's not with each other!"

"What do you mean?" Soda asks.

"God Sodapop! You've been cheated on before," I ramble. "Lacey you're my sister! How could you?"

"Could we what?" Lacey asks.

"It's obvious you guys like each other!" I snap. "So how 'bout you guys just date because, I don't wanna be my 'boyfriend's' second chance!"

"Calm down Daisy, please," Soda pleads.

"Don't tell me to calm down!" I yell a little too loud.

"Daisy, I love you," Soda insists.

"What is love Soda?" I ask as tears stream down my cheeks. "We're too young to be in love. We're to love to feel the emotions of love. We're not in love because, if you loved me you'd be with me instead of Lacey. What is love? Look at Steve and Del, we thought they were in love. Darry and Dez are the only ones who are old enough to be in love."

"I'm sorry you feel this way," Soda sighs, "but I do love you Daisy."

"You love me, but your not in love with me," I let out a small sob.

"What difference does it make?" He asks growing angry.

"All the difference in the world," I say sadly. "I think we need a break. If you date somebody else when we're on that break you'll see we're not in love."

"Can I at least get a goodbye kiss?" He asks looking up at me.

I stand on my tippy toes pecking his lips, "goodbye Pepsi."

"Goodbye Daize-maize," he sniffles as I walk off.

Lacey comes running after me, "Soda and I don't like each other."

I turn around shrugging as tears run down my cheeks, "it doesn't matter. We're not in love and that's what matters. Can we just go home?"

She nods her head, "I'll go get Lucy as you say goodbye to your family."

I walk over to Charlie, Del, and Dally giving them each a hug, "bye guys, I love you and I'll try to see you soon."

"Bye Daisy. I love you," they all say at different times.

I then walk over to Ponyboy hugging him tightly, "Ponyboy, I'm gonna head home, I'll see you soon though. I promise."

He sniffles, "why so soon?"

"I think Soda and I just broke-up," I inform him sadly.

"Gee, I'm sorry," he scratches the back of his head. "What happened?"

"We're too young to be in love," I simply say. "I love you and I'll see you as soon as I can. I promise."

He stands up hugging me, "you should start hanging with Johnny, Dally, and I instead of Soda, Steve, and Del. We're much cooler."

I smile nodding, "I might take ya up on that offer. Bye." I run off over to Johnny who is hugging Lucy goodbye. "Bye Johnnycakes. I love you."

"Bye Daisy," he hugs me back. "I love you too."

I walk over to Darry and Two-bit hugging them both, "bye guys, I love you."

"I love you too kiddo," Darry smiles. "Why you leaving so early?"

"Soda and I are on a break," I shrug.

"Bye Daisy," Two slurs.

I walk over to Steve, "bye Stevie-o."

"Heading out so soon?" He asks.

I quickly make up a lie, "I don't feel good."

He nods slowly, "feel better."

"Thanks," I smile weakly.

I walk out of the Dingo looking back only once to see Soda flirting with a size two blonde waitress. A tear slides down my cheek as I walk out of the dingo.

Del's P.O.V.

"I wonder what that was about," I ponder aloud.

Dally looks over to Soda, "I think it has something to do with him."

"Hey let's not make conclusions," Charlie chuckles. "She'll live with us again soon."

"How soon?" I pout. "I know it'll be too long."

"We're working on it, but it can take up to two years," Dally sighs.

"Whatever!" I huff as I storm over to the bar only to notice Steve is sitting next to me.

"You okay?" He asks genuinely concerned.
"I miss us," I admit.

He leans in pecking my lips and I smile against his lips, "I miss us too Del."

I grab his hand tightly as tears stream down my face, "I can't do this though. I'm sorry."

"What? Why not?" Steve asks sadly.

I peck his lips once more, "timing is key Stevie." I pull off my locket that has two pictures of us in it handing it to him, "I love you Steve."

"I love you too Delilah," he speaks softly almost in a whisper as I walk out not looking back once even though tears stream down my cheeks.
