09 || Even if it is Just Soda
Daisy's P.O.V.
"Sodapop!" I yell. "Stop that!"
He throws a fry at me, "you know you wanna join me."
I roll my eyes at him playfully, "c'mon we're on a date...That I got all dresses up for, I-I'm even wearing my mom's locket."
Soda sighs, "you're so boring sometimes Daisy, you know that...Right?"
"Oh shut up Sodapop," I roll my eyes as I take a sip out of my Oreo milkshake. "You're so annoying."
"Yet you're still on a date with me," he chuckles. "Have you seen Charlie at all since..."
I shake my head sadly, "I wish. I miss her. She reminded me of mom, ya know? She just-I don't know, she cared."
"I get it Daisy," He grabs my hand from under the table making my heart flutter. "When you're mom died it wasn't easy. You weren't expecting it."
"It was too soon," I sigh. "She was just doing it to help get us food and clothes. I hope that-that-that-"
"Watch what you say next," Soda chuckles.
"That jerk is rotting away in prison for shooting my mom," I growl.
"Wanna go?" He asks politely.
I let out a sad sigh, I just ruined everything, "sure, why not?"
The walk back was filled with an awkward silence. I don't know why I had to bring up my mom on a date of all things. Why am I so stupid? As we get to my house I turn to Soda, "I'll see ya whenever....I guess."
As I go to walk in he grabs my shoulder spinning me around smashing his lips against mine. I smile against the kiss as he slips his tongue in. When we break away he asks, "wanna go out with me again next Saturday?"
A smile spreads across my face,"I'd love to Sodapop."
I go to walk in again, but he stops me once again, "wait! Daisy!"
I giggle was I turn around, "yes Sodapop."
"I uh, I forget," he scratches his head.
I peck his cheek, "you're cute."
"Wait! Daisy!" He yells as I go to walk in stopping me again.
"Yes Sodapop," I chuckle.
"I remember what I wanted to tell you," he informs me.
"And what's that?" I smile.
"Goodnight," he pecks my lips.
"Night Sodapop," I laugh finally walking into my house to see Delilah and Steve cuddling on the couch together for their stay in movie night date. "Ewe."
"What?" Steve asks.
I shake my head, "nothing. I gotta go to bed. Night."
"Night," they both say in sync.
Delilah's P.O.V.
I put on sweats and a t-shirt with a sweatshirt over it putting my hair in a high Ponytail. Daisy walks out and looks at me laughing, "did Steve cancel or what?"
I look down at my outfit, "no, but it's just Steve. Mom's locket, really? For Sodapop?"
"Yes, really," she sighs. "I like to dress up for dates, even if it's just Soda. Have fun in sweats."
"I will," I pout as Dally walks out in only boxers and his hair a mess. He hasn't done anything since Charlotte left.
"Will you two quite it, I'm trying to live the rest of my life in my room!" Dally snaps. "Plus I have a headache! Daisy, why are you wearing mom's necklace when it's only a date with Sodapop?"
"Ha!" I snicker.
"And Delilah why are you wearing sweats when you have date even if it's just with Steve?" Dally turns to me.
"Ha!" Daisy smirks. "I'm leaving. Later Dal'. See ya later Del and make sure I don't walk it to see you and Steve doing stuff." Right as she's about to walk out she pokes her head back in winking slightly, "oh yea and use protection, no need to be a mom at fifteen. Gotta love Stevie."
I roll my eyes and turn to Dally, "don't worry she's lying."
"Better be," he scoffs as he walks into his room. Why would she say that in front of Dally?
I roll my eyes laughing, "yea, yea, yea."
A knock on the door symbols my prince charming and I run to get it swinging open the door to see Steve in jeans and a t-shirt, "hey Del."
"Hey Stevie," I smile grabbing his hand and pulling him to the couch. "Movie?"
"How 'bout we order pizza instead?" He asks.
"I'd love that," I smile walking over to the phone and calling a pizzeria. "Hi can I have a large pizza with extra cheese and extra bacon."
"That'll be eight twenty-five," the other side informs me.
"How much?" Steve asks.
'eight twenty-five,' I mouth and he nods as I finish telling them the information they need. After I'm done I plop down on the couch next to Stevie, "so a first date...awkward."
He pushes me playfully, "shut up Del. Stop trying to make it awkward."
"C'mon I do it on all the first dates," I joke with him, but this date isn't awkward.
"Well we could count the mountain as our first date," he winks reminding me of Daisy.
I slap him playfully, "that's for telling loud mouth Daisy, she like half jokingly ratted us out to Dally, but Dally thinks it's a joke."
He chuckles, "I'm sure you told somebody."
I think back, "we were drunk and it was only Two-bit."
"And I'm the one who told a loud mouth," Steve teases.
"Whatever," I roll my eyes.
"You know you're having fun," he jokes as the door knocks.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night," I yell as he gets the pizza paying and all. As he sits back I look over to him, "what a gentleman."
"Shut your trap," he laughs.
"I'll shut what I want," I pout as I open the box moving my eyes to look at Steve, "or open what I want."
"Ha ha ha! Very funny," he fake laughs smiling at me.
Once we're done eating we cuddle into the couch and Daisy walks in looking at us, "ewe."
"What?" Steve asks looking at her.
"Nothing," she shakes her head. "I gotta go to bed.
"Night," Steve and I say in sync then continue after she leaved still in sync. "That totally freaked her out....Too funny....Gotta love Dais-ies."
Steve stands up, "well I think I should go."
"Sounds good," I reply awkwardly. "Night Stevie."
"Night Del," he walks out of the house.
"Weird," I mumble to myself.
This is my first chapter without Dallas' P.O.V. Although Soda and Daisy are going on another date! Yay! Date night! I love this chapter, I think it's just so cute. Love you guys! Stay gold. Do it for Johnny!
