01 || Catch me if you can

Daisy's P.O.V.

A single tear drips off my chin as I sit outside alone on the Curtis house hearing the chatter inside.

"What's her issue?" Two asks.

"She just needs some time," Soda speaks up for me.

"She just ran out of the house though!" Two screams loudly making me jump up a little.

"Just get off her fucking back!" Delilah snaps reminding me how much stronger she is then me.

"Yeah lay off," Dally piggybacks.

"Whatever," I hear Two grumble.

I wipe a few tears off my face as a blue mustang pulls up, "what do you want?"

Randy steps out of the car and I let out a sigh of relief, "just want to check up on you kid."

I run into his arms letting my tears fall freely, "I'm okay, now."

He presses his lips against my forehead rocking me back and forth in his arms as I take in everything, "shhh, it's okay Daisy, he's stupid. He's stupid for cheating on you baby girl."

"Maybe it was for the best," I let out a small sigh as he squeezes my small waist. "We weren't made to work."

"Who do you think you were made to work with?" He asks looking down at me.

I bite my lip starring up at him, "I'm not sure. Do you think he's made to work with Cherry?"

He shrugs, "beats me."

"Do you think you're made to work with Marcia?" I ask hoping he says no. I'm not sure why, but I don't want him to be with her. I don't like him, he's just my best friend, but I don't want them together.

"I think I'm gonna work out with somebody else," he winks.

"Ooooo!" I hear my twin coo.

I turn around to see Delilah and Dallas laughing, "I'm gonna kill you guys!"

"Gotta catch us first!" Delilah laughs as Dally takes off.

"No fair," I call out to them. "I'm wearing a dress."

"Loser!" Dally calls as I chase after them laughing.

I tackle him down to the ground making us both laugh and me stain my dress, "who's the loser now?"

He bends over whispering in my ear, "lets get Delilah!"

"Lets go partner!" I yell standing up as I explode in giggles.

We both chase after Delilah which is a little harder considering her and Pony are tracks stars. "Catch me if you can!" She laughs loudly as she looks at us not noticing where she's going she trips over a branch.

"Now!" Dally and I both yell grabbing her ankles until we notice she's crying.

"Delilah?" I ask softly.

She looks up at us, "I think I broke my arm."

"Shit!" Dallas mutters picking her up in his arms.

Delilah's P.O.V.

"Shit," Dally mutters causing me to chuckle lowly as he picks me up in his arms.

"I'm fine!" I yelp.

"No, your not," Daisy gags she gets grossed out so easily. "Look at that thing."

I look down at my swollen, black and blue arm, "nothing wrong with it."

"You're insane," she pats my cheek.

"Dallas Winston put me down!" I screech.

He stairs down at me thinking about it before concluding, "fine....fine, but no track."

"What?" I yell loudly. "I'm running track there's gonna be college scouts."

"And you're only fifteen," he reminds me as if I'm gonna forget my own age. "You still have a few years before you need to worry about being scouted, trust me."

"I wanna get outta this shit hole though," I look around me.

"Watch your language young lady," he scolds.

"Shit, shit, shit. Shit. Shit. Shit, shit...Shit, Sh-I-T!" I mock not caring. "Oh yeah and shit."

I see Daisy holding back a smirk, but I let mine run wilder as Dallas scoffs, "better not talk like that in front of the gang."

"I'll say whatever the hell I wanna say," I retort. "Even if that word is shit."

At this point Daisy bursts into laughter rolling on the ground staining her dress, "oh my fucking god."

"Daisy!" Dally yells looking at her.

She stands up straight, "won't happen again."

"At least somebody listens," he mutters to himself.

"Fuck!" I yell loudly not holding in my giggles afterwards.

"Shut your trap!" Dally snaps as we walk into the Curtis whispering lowly so only Daisy and I can hear, "remember, I'm not nice."

"Whatever," I roll my eyes.

Daisy sighs, "whatever you say all mighty Dallas."

I plop down on the couch in between Steve and Sodapop with Daisy on Soda's right. Soda looks over at Daisy, "hey Daize-maize, how ya holdin' up?"

She shrugs, "it hurts, but I guess it was for the best Pepsi-cola."

I look over to Steve and fake gag, "girl can't make up her mind, it's either Soda or Randy."

Steve chuckles, "stick with me Del and you'll be perfectly fine."

I snuggle up to him and he wraps his arm tightly around me. It's perfect, absolutely perfect even though he's smooching my wrist and it hurts so much, it's still perfect.

"I promise," I mumble into his chest.

He presses his lips against the top of my head swaying me back and forth until I fall asleep in his arms.

Daisy's P.O.V.

I poke Soda's arm and nod my head over to a sound asleep Delilah who is asleep in a snoring Steve's arm, "look at the lovebirds."

He hits me playfully, "lovebirds? Steve's with Evie and your sister dating that Chase guy."

I shrug, "I'm not sure if things are good for them or not. I feel like it's not plus we both know who they really like."

"Well we both know who you really like," he smirks.

I dodge the hint quickly, "how are things with Sandy?"

"We're going strong," he speaks swiftly. "I'm gonna go to bed."

"Night Pepsi," I hug him tightly.

"Night Daize-maize," he stands up and walks upstairs.

I let out a small sigh and turn to Dally, "can I crash here?"

"Not tonight Daisy, you have school tomorrow," he reminds me sipping a cold beer.

"Why do I even have to go to school?" I ask angrily. "I'm gonna drop out next year anyways!"

"No you're not!" Dallas yells at me.

"Whatever...Dallas," I say coldly as I stand up and walk out of the house.

"Daisy! Daisy!" Dally calls after me. "Daisy! Daisy, get your little ass back in this house right now before you get jumped!"

"I'm not gonna get jumped Dallas and what happened to no cursing! Or does that only apply to Delilah and I?" I yell into the house as I continue to run back to the my house.

"Daisy! Daisy!" He continues to scream after me until I can't hear him any more.

What do ya'll think is gonna happen to Daisy when she's all alone at night on the streets of Tulsa? Uh-oh! Okay, so this is the opening chapter just to show relationships with the gang, but you don't really get to meet Delilah that much yet. You won't meet her, meet her for a while though. You really get into the character of Daisy the first few chapters. I'm gonna try to get in a double update today, but I make no promise. Stay gold. Do it for Johnny!
