This chapter has some offensive language in it so here's your warning

(also excuse my spelling and errors)

"NOOOPE!! Not today we are leaving" I say grabbing Jamie and pull him away from the table.

"But I haven't finished!" by the time he said that we were already gone and hiding in the hallway. We both stand there catching our breath.

"Elizabeth what is happening. What did he say to you when you fell?" Jamie asked finally be able to speak.

"He said for me be careful and not get hurt" I says still not believing it actually happened.

"So he actually cares about your safety?"

"I guess so. Maybe he likes me or something"

"Elizabeth this is the same guy that started a rumor in seventh grade saying you had herpes. I don't think that's it"

I cringe at the memory. I couldn't go anywhere for a full year without someone calling me contagious and avoiding me like the plague. Not the best year of my life.

"Well I guess you'll have to find out next period the" Jamie says pulling me out of me thoughts.

"Oh no I forgot! Why me!" I say sliding down the wall. Calum and I have 4th period English together. Maybe if I just stay to myself like I usually do we won't speak to me; Not like he's ever tried. I thought he finally forgot I existed.

The bell rings telling us lunch is over and it's time for 4th. Sadly Jamie isn't in the class he decided to take honors instead, leaving me there to die. When get down the hallway where we split and say our see you laters and I had into the class.

When I get into class barely anyone is there. I let out a breath of relief and sit in my regular seat and pull out my homework from the night before and look over it. I was so distracted that I didn't notice anyone standing in front of me until I saw a shadow blocking the light. I look up and leap backwards. Calum is just standing in front of me smiling.

"Oh sorry.., I mean hi." I stuttered out; trying to regroup

"This seat taken?" he points to the empty seat next to me

I quickly shake my head and watch as he takes a seat next to me. I look around and see literally all eyes on us. Including the teacher who's just scratching her head. After a good thirty seconds she finally gets up and walks to the front of the class and begins her lesson. We all start writing notes. As I'm writing everything on the board, a piece of paper is pushed onto my desk. I look up and see Calum motioning for me to read it. I nod nervously and look back down

"Was that guy with you at lunch your boyfriend?" I almost laugh out loud when I read it and pick up my pen and write back.

"No he's my best friend." I slide it back and I can see him smile a little and start to write back.

"Good (:"

Good? Really that's it. What does that even mean? You can't just say that and expect the girl to me okay with it. I need explanation. I need details. But of course I can't tell him all this or it will imply I like him, which I don't. I just enjoy looking at his face.

"Thanks for helping me at lunch today." I write and pass it back.

"Anything for a pretty girl like you (:" I smile when I read it and go to write back but as I do and a kid in the class named Justice walks past and trips over Calum's shoe. You can see his body stiffen and his eyes go dark. He swiftly pushes out of his desk and grabs Justice by his shirt and pulls him back. It happened so quick I barely thought his movements were real.

At this point the whole class is staring in horror of what he will do. Calum isn't a small guy and could really do some damage.

Calum walks from behind the desk and holds Justice in from of him who is struggling to break free. Calum's whole body has changed. He went from being all cute to ready to kill someone.

"Did you not see my shoe there? Huh kid?" he growls in his face towering over him.

"No I'm sorry I just slipped" Justice replies quickly; you can hear the nervousness in his voice.

"Oh you just slipped. That makes is fine then does it?" Calum chuckles darkly

"I said I was sorry dude." Big mistake Justice. Shouldn't have said that.

You can see Calum get even angrier by his words. He grips Justices' shirt tighter and gets fully in his face.

"Sorry isn't going to fucking cut it" he growls before punching him in the stomach and throwing on the ground. Everyone is now backing up, afraid of being next. Usually when a fight happens everyone is crowding around with their phones in the air hoping to catch something. With Calum Hood it's different. If you step too close he will drag you down and fight you as well. He changes completely when he's angry. You can't stop him without getting hurt some way in the process.

By now he is on top of Justice and punching him at every opening he sees. Justice tries to fight back but there's no use. By now the teacher has got two gym teachers on Calum pulling him off of him. They both look wrecked. Justice now has a black eye and a bloody nose and those are just the injuries that I can see. Calum is breathing heavy with his brown curls falling into his face. He is keeping his head down and we all just stand there watching in awe.

When Calum looks up his eyes fall on me. I'm terrified of what all just happened and he can see that. His face drops and you can see his eyes sadden a little. They start pulling him out of class and he fights back trying to say something

"Elizabeth I-"and he's cut off by the teachers pushing into the door and slamming the door. Now all eyes are on me.

"Alright settle down everyone back to your seats. Justice go head to the office for the nurse to look at you." She's says with a little pity. I'd pity the poor kid too. All this over stepping on his shoes. Completely ridiculous. We have about 5 minutes left in class now so we all just pack up but everyone's still talking about the fight still

"Man that shit was crazy! I feel sorry for his girlfriend having to watch that. I didn't even know they were together!" this guy says talking to behind me.

"Right. Who would even want to fuck with Elizabeth? I mean have you seen her. She looks like my 12 year old brother." He friend says and the both laugh.

At that comment I feel like screaming at him for even dragging me into this. I just want to leave. Thank god the bell rings and I can go home.

I storm out of the door and pass Jamie. I see the confusion on his face but I'm too angry to explain right now. I need to leave now. I'm storming down the hall with Jamie following silently behind, getting the message. As I walk past the office I see Calum jump to his feet and run out the door to stop and talk to me.

"Elizabeth I can-"but I'm too angry to just stand there talking

"No! Don't try and explain yourself to me! Why the hell would to beat up an innocent kid like that just for tripping over your shoe. Is it really that important!" I begin screaming at him. People are starting to crowd around and Calum just looks at me in shock

"Elizabeth-"he starts but I don't even want to hear him speak

"Don't you dare fucking speak; I'm not finished! You don't get to explain. I already know why you did it. It's because a conceded dick you thinks the world revolves around you! Now people are talking about me again and I'm not going to let that happen because of you! You had me fooled too. Maybe you had changed into a decent human being but NOPE! You're still a dick with anger issues and a bad attitude. So I'm fucking done with you! Stay the fuck away from me Calum Hood!" and I storm off leaving him I'm shock. People see how pissed I am and leave a path for me and Jamie so I can get out of here

I'm so stupid for even falling for it. People like Calum Hood don't change. He's too crude to get over himself and realize how much he can hurt someone. Someone always gets hurt when they are around Calum. Who knew this time is would be me.

Wow that got dramatic quick.
