The new kid walked in and a crowd of girls were smiling. Yep...he was cute enough for the cheerleaders. I looked at Scarlet and Mia, my main best friends, and we all went towards the new kid. We needed a bunch of friends not just a group of five nerds, six is better. The new kid was looking around until he saw us frozen.

"Samantha, are you going, to talk to him or not?" Scarlet asked me.

"W-why me?" I asked.

"I don't want cheerleaders to see me talk to him or else RUMORS FOR LIFE, and Mia is too quiet to be heard, no offense Mia,"

"None taken!" Mia stuttered.

"Fine!" I responded walking towards the new kid.

He looked at me oddly until I spoke a word.

"Hi," I said awkwardly.

"Hey, I'm...you know what, I want to start over from my old school, so just give me a nickname," He sighed.

"Umm...what's your favorite food?"

"Waffles,"

"Then I declare your nickname be Waffles!"

"Heh, now may I know what your name is?"

"Samantha,"

"Well, nice to meet you Samantha, care to show me around later?"

"Yeah, of course,"

"Now, where to sit?"

"You can sit with my friends and me, if you want,"

"Sure," Waffle responded as I showed him the table.

He's nice, and cute, I bet he would be a nice boyfriend...
