December 6th - My Blood (Joshler)
Short, but sweet.
No particular tour in mind here, but some special Christmas tour that I made up after Trench featuring their favourite songs from each album.
Also, yeah, spot any mistakes? Point the shit outta 'em.

"...And now I just sit in silence."
The crowd went wild as Tyler finshed singing and the lights went dark. He wiped the sweat from his brow, and looked over to where Josh was sat at his drum kit, wiping his hands on his knees and downing a whole bottle of water in one go. Tyler watched in mild fascination as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed quickly. Josh finished with a pant, and he threw the bottle over his shoulder, picking up his drumsticks and twirling them between his fingers. He caught Tyler's eye and grinned, throwing him a wink, the singer smiling and shaking his head. Tyler mouthed 'My Blood' at him, and Josh nodded, bringing both his drumsticks down on the snare as the lights flashed back on.
The music started to play, as did Josh behind him, and Tyler brought the mic to his lips.
"When everyone, you thought you knew, deserts your fight, I'll go with you..."

"Stay with me, no, you don't need to run. Stay with me, my blood." Tyler finished the last song of the night, and let his arm drop to his side, turning to look at Josh instinctually. He looked more focusedly, however, as the drummer got up from his stool, picking up something from the floor and slipping it into his back pocket. Josh walked over to stand by him, whispering in his ear.
"Hey, would you let me borrow the mic for a second?"
"Uh, sure..?" Tyler handed it over, trying to work out what was going on.
"Alright." Josh said into the mic. The crowd cheered, purely at the sound of his voice. "I know we don't have long left, but hopefully what I have to say will be quick enough, or important enough to allow us a few more minutes."
Tyler looked at him sideways, tilting his head.
"So, before I say what I need to say, can I ask kind of a stupid question? Someone's recording this, right?" The crowd screamed in response, and Josh huffed a laugh. "Alright." He repeated, turning to face Tyler.
"I have something to say to you. Trench is our fifth studio album, we've been doing this together since 2011, and I feel like seven years is long enough to wait. So, Tyler Joseph, can I ask you a stupid question?"
Josh pulled the object out of his back pocket and got down on one knee. The crowd went absolutely mental, but their energy was nothing compared to what Tyler was feeling.
"I know it's not that well-presented, but I couldn't fit the box in my pocket." He grinned sheepishly, holding out a dark silver ring, studded with what looked to be some sort of gem, although Tyler couldn't quite tell due to the colour of the stagelights.
"We've been going out for six years, and I felt like tonight was the time to finally ask you. Will you stay with me, my blood? That is, Tyler Robert Joseph, will you marry me?" Josh looked up at him with sparkling eyes, smiling. Tyler could tell that he was nervous.
Tyler could barely hear the crowd over the booming sound of his own heartbeat in his ears. He was pretty sure his whole face was bright red, and when he brought a hand to his mouth, he found that it was shaking something terrible, and that a small amount of blood had started to trickle out of his nose. He wiped it away, mouthing a small 'Shit'. Tyler dropped to his knees and threw his arms around Josh's neck, surprising the drummer and almost knocking him backwards. Josh brought the mic back to his mouth over Tyler's back, and muttered.
"Are you alright?"
Tyler shook his head and turned to face Josh's neck. He leant back into the mic.
"No." He said simply, trying not to cry.
"I hope that was the answer to the second question and not the first. That would be embarrassing."
"Of course I'll marry you, Josh. Goddamnit." Tyler sniffed and hugged him closer.
"Oh, great, God, I was so nervous. Here, come here." Josh put the mic down on the stage floor and scooped the boy across to him and into his lap. Tyler had actually started to cry into his bare shoulder and Josh felt himself getting a little choked up, too.
"I love you Josh. T-Thank you... Where did this all- Why-"
"I love you too, Ty," Josh interrupted. "Come here, I want to put the ring on your finger." Tyler slid backwards, wiping his nose and getting blood on the back of his hand. He laughed shakily at the absurdness of it all as Josh took his hand and slipped the silver band onto his finger, pulling him in for a kiss right after.
The crowd had become mere background noise at this point, and neither of the men cared about being behind schedule. In fact, ever since Josh had got down on one knee, time had completely stopped for the both of them, and now, as they kissed, it felt so much heavier and important than any other kiss they had ever shared, and both of them did their best to show all their emotions through the movement of their lips:
- I love you -
- I was so scared -
- You make me happy -
- I love you -
- Promise not to leave? -
- I'm still recovering -
- Wow -
- I love you -
- Thank you -
- I'm snatching you away to the bedroom after this -
- I love you -
Josh pulled away first, and took Tyler's hand, pulling him up as he stood. He picked up the microphone and looked at Tyler out of the corner of his eye, the singer staring at the ring on his finger, trying to spot any clue that might mean it wasn't real.
"Sorry guys, this must all be rather confusing, but I'm sure there'll be an interview all about it coming soon. As for now, we need to go. So, thank you all for coming, and we'll... See you next time, I guess." Josh shrugged. "Anything from you, Ty?" He held the mic under Tyler's nose, which was still bleeding.
"U-Uh. Thanks for coming." Tyler said, still crying. "Sorry I'm crying everywhere, I-I didn't know he was gonna..." He trailed off, looking down at Josh's feet next to him. "Y-Yeah." The crowd cheered them off, and Josh swept Tyler up to carry him offstage bridal style, just as the lights went off for the final time.
