This is a concept I came up with like a month ago or something, I'm probably not the first one to think of this and probably won't be the last, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and stuff :)

-So if you aren't familiar with the concept of Watchers, they are beings that Grian came up with back in his Evolution series about three years ago (feeling old yet?) they were basically these ethereal beings who... well watched over the server, caused havoc, and set clues for how the Evolutionists were going to find the portal that brought them to the next version of Minecraft.

-Now as time went on, Grian ended up getting bored with the series and chose to leave, but of course, him being Grian, he decided he must go out with a bang. In the final episode of Evo, Grian defeated the Ender Dragon and jumped through the portal, but when he did this, instead of getting the usual closing credits, a dialog scene between two of these Watchers occurred.

-In the end, the Watchers take Grian into their ranks (and apparently drop him off in Hermitcraft) but then some fanfiction in the Hermittcraft community became a huge hit; And The Universe Shifts. While this wasn't the sole reason the Watchers were suddenly the big bad evil guys, it certainly put the idea into everyone's head.

-So the idea is that the Watchers take players they think are interesting and train them as their own, then drop them back into worlds that they find interesting. While some Watchers do this, just floating from world to world, trying to make as few connections as possible to make the pain of separation less, some chose to run from their Watcher overlords, and while most fail, some are able to find places where the Watchers can't reach them *cough* hermitcraft, dreamsmp, smpearth, etc.*cough*

-so basically... just apply this to Tubbo :)

-only Tommy, Dream, and Wilbur know about this (He told Tommy, Dream and Wilber know because of their admin/past admin(smpe for Wil) status

-I think Phil could work as a Watcher as well, but I think it would be more interesting if he was just really interested in them, like he studies them and their culture n stuff!

-Just a random thought, I think it would be cool if Stampy and Squid were Watchers, I don't know I feel like it just fits.

-Anyways but yes :) Watcher Tubbo always looking behind his back and never trying to make too much of a big deal out of fear of attracting the Watchers towards the server and destroying it.

-Tubbo also spends a lot of time on the server because when he's in the portal hallways, he's a lot more vulnerable and easy to track. (If you guys want me to try and explain how I imagine server switching and finding works, tell me! It would also be useful for the Traitor Tubbo/Dead Tommy AU thing

-Also, should I intertwine these two? have Tubbo be a Watcher in the au that Congratulations and This Time I'm Dying?

-Anyways, I have a lot of sad and angsty ideas for this but a. I'm lazy and b. I don't have enough brain cells to figure out how to word those ideas so feedback is greatly appreciated :)
