The chilly air caused coats to be pulled closer to bodies, and the rain that came with it made hoods be flipped above people's heads so their hair would not get wet. There was a little boy playing in some rain puddles. His gray rain boots had spots of mud on them from hopping into puddles. A cat watched him from a windowsill nearby.
A girl sat on a bench protected by a pink polka dot umbrella. She loved the rain although she preferred to be out when the sun shone through the clouds; then she could spread the wings upon her back and cross the sky without limitations.
If it weren't storming out at the moment she could enjoy a rain flight, but there was lightning that made it dangerous. That didn't stop her from appreciating the rain though. The smell of it relaxed her as much as a cup of green tea late at night when sleep was long forgotten. The rain always seemed to bring out the colors in everything around her.
A clap of thunder occurred causing the girl to sigh and the little boy playing in the puddles to jump in fear. The wind began to pick up which caused the girl's hair to begin blowing around her in all direction. The little boy got scared. His little brown eyes shone with fear as he wanted nothing more than to get out of the rain and curl up with his cat at home. When he was normally startled, he would stretch out his wings that matched the dark chocolate color of his back and fly into the sky away from danger and to one of his hideouts. Although he could not do that because of the storm. So he flipped his dark blue rain coat's hood up and ran off to his home.
However, the girl on the bench remained. She had seen the little boy's antics which caused her to chuckle. They reminded her of someone she knew.
