SYNOPSIS

AUSTIN STARK COULD'VE TOLD YOU TWO THINGS AS SHE STOOD ON THE PORCH OF HER UNCLES NEWLY REBUILT HOME.

THE FIRST BEING THAT, he had more than likely forgotten she was coming that day.

AND THE SECOND, that he had definitely forgotten she was coming that day.

Pepper, the strawberry blonde female that seemed to always be hanging around- her job as Tony's assistant entailing exactly that- was the first to greet her, and then the annoying shriek from her uncle was what followed when Pepper led her down to his workshop.

And things only seem to get more chaotic from there.

It seems her uncle has far more important matters than his niece to attend to when he randomly flies off in one of his toys- leaving Austin with Pepper till he returns- except, it seems that'll take at least a week when she turns on the T.V. and see's him staring back at her in a suit made of metal with what seems to be an arc reactor in the middle- more than likely serving as the power source.

So when he does return and retreats back down to his lab to fix his arc reactor- the one residing within his chest- using a piece of alien technology to try and fix his blood poisoning problem, he finds himself in a pool of trouble when the thing explodes and sends his niece through the wall with the sudden force from the two energies combined.

And when she comes back to consciousness Tony realizes that what he's done will forever scar her, she is no longer the same person she was.

Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff seem to be the first people he calls to try and figure out what may be wrong with his sister's pride and joy, and it seems that the only plausible answer they can offer is that of requesting help from Nick Fury.

And it seems he has just the answer they're looking for.

Austin finds that not only are her powers a nuisance to her, but that they're of value to those at S.H.I.E.L.D.

Including Steve and Tony.

Eager to return home and forget everything that has occurred, Austin finds that impossible when her uncle grounds her plane and drags her into a war that she's almost positive has nothing to do with her.

Yet.

So when she meets a soldier who happens to be a "friend" of Steve's, and family deaths seem to be made more apparent than before, Austin is forced to question her loyalty and rather what is wrong and what is right.

Because it seems that with her new powers, the playing field might just be the tiniest bit uneven for whoever can manage to gain her as an ally.
