23- I only have eyes for her

Nick:

"What do you want to talk about, Tessa?" I groaned, kicking rocks away from my car. I couldn't look at her. Not right now. With as how perfect the day was going, I should have known she would be the one to ruin it.

"I was hoping we could talk about us. You know. About the divorce, the house, the money. Things like that."

Now I had to look at her. She needed to see the look on my face. The look she didn't want to see coming from me. And that look I wanted her to see was, that, I cannot stand you look, so please move on with your life. "Tessa. For the record. Again. There is no Us! And two, just sign those damn papers so we can both move forward with our fucking lives. And thirdly, I'm selling the fucking house. I tried Tessa. For once in my life, I tried to make you happy. And you showed me again, no matter what I do, I can't make you happy. So fuck it. I'm selling my house..."

She looked up to the sky, sighing, "Why does it have to be this way?" She asked before lowering her head. "I mean, didn't our vows mean anything to you?"

I leaned my head back, closed my eyes, and clenched my fists. How many fucking times do I have to go over this with her?

"Tessa," I groaned, lowering my head. "No. The vows meant nothing to me. As I said, I tried making it work. You didn't. I tried to love you but couldn't. There's nothing there between us, and there never has. No spark, no nothing."

I saw the anger growing in her eyes and knew a fight was brewing. "Nick. You slid that ring on my finger, vowing to love me for better or worse, through sickness and in health until death do us part. You also promised to be there for me to help get us through the bad times."

I watched a tear fall from her eye, and I wasn't sure if it was a real tear or her typical known fake crocodile tear. She turned her head, and as the wind blew her hair, covering her face, she frustratedly removed the hair from her face.

"Yes, Tessa. I remember the vows. But as I said numerous times before, we never should have married. It was a mistake, Tessa. And you know it."

"Will you at least meet me at that cafe located around the corner? I need to get out of this wind."

I breathed in, then heavily exhaled as I thought about Brianna and how badly I wanted to get back to her. I looked down at my shoes, shaking my head. "I can't, Tessa. I have to get back to Brianna."

"Please?" She begged. "Just for a little while so we can finish this talk. And when we're finished, discussing what needs to be talked about, you can go back to her."

Surprisingly, Tessa looked and sounded sincere. And it had me thinking she needed closure before she signed the papers. I threw my hands in the air, sighing, "Fine. But I can't stay long," I firmly added, then raised my hand and pointed while I looked her in the eye. "I mean it, Tess."

"I heard you."

I followed Tessa to the cafe, and after I parked, I sent Brianna a message, letting her know I'm running late and that I'll be there soon. I watched Tessa walk inside, but then suddenly, I felt something wasn't right. Almost as if what I'm doing by meeting Tessa here is a big mistake.

Shit...

She better not try anything. I'll take her down so fast that she won't even see the stray jacket that'll be placed on her.

I walked inside, then stopped and looked around. Not seeing anything fishy, I walked over to Tessa's table, pulled out a chair, and sat my ass down, all while trying to distance myself away from her.

"What can I get for you?" The waitress asked.

"Ice water, please."

After the waitress walked away, I looked at Tessa and groaned, "Alright, Tessa. You got me here. What is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

She momentarily stared at me, then turned her head and watched a family walk by us. When the area cleared, she looked back my way. "I want to know why, Brianna? What does she have that I don't? And I'd really like to know what's so special about her?"

I picked up my glass of water and took a long swallow. "Brianna has class," I admitted while setting my drink on the table. "She's loving, caring, she has a warm and big heart, she's beautiful, and the special part about her is that she's carrying my child."

"And you don't think I'm beautiful?" She hissed.

"I used to think so. But if you want me to be honest, I'll tell you the truth."

"Be honest with me," she said louder than I wished she had.

"You seem beautiful on the outside. But you're damn fucking ugly on the inside. Which only brings your outer beauty to look ugly too. You're heartless, and you only care about yourself."

Hopefully, after telling her the truth, she doesn't scream or start beating on me. Surprisingly enough, she gave me a scowled look and only pointed her finger at me. "That's not true." Her eyes rolled away from me and over to the waitress, taking an order beside us. "How many others were there? How many women have you cheated on me with?"

I breathed a chuckle. "I already told you. Brianna is the only one." I leaned forward, folded my hands together, and quietly said, "I wasn't out looking for a woman to fuck, or to wet my dick. Brianna just happened. Something I didn't expect to happen. It unexpectedly happened."

Just talking about Brianna made me smile, and then I admitted. "When she and I met, she almost decked me after I spilled my beer all over her as she sat on the bench."

Tessa didn't like hearing what I just admitted to and hissed under her breath, "Maybe she should have."

She didn't think I heard what she said. But I did. And I needed to set the record straight. "Look, Tessa. Brianna and I didn't mean to happen. It just did. For a couple of months, we talked, met for lunch, and sometimes dinner. It wasn't until the third month of us talking that anything happened between us. And before I slept with Brianna. I had already hired a divorce attorney with the divorce paperwork already in the works. I never once slept with her before that. I knew I was married, but after hiring an attorney, I didn't care anymore. Brianna showed me what true love is. With you, there was never any love shown, and since you were always so cold towards me, it was easy for me to fall for Brianna."

Her hands extended towards me, then rested her hands over mine. "I'm sorry you felt that way. And I never meant to act cold towards you. I loved you so much. And now I'm thinking my actions were most likely caused by being stressed about work."

I shook my head and quickly removed my hands from her hold. I knew what she was doing, and she was trying to work herself back into my life. And that's not happening. "No, Tessa. It's too late for us. I'm in love with Brianna. And the love I feel for her is so much different from what I ever felt for you."

"Nick, please. Let's work this out," she cried, wiping tears away from her eyes. "Please. Please don't do this."

"It's over, Tessa. For the umpteenth time, our marriage is over. Now, will you please sign the papers? The sooner they're signed, the sooner we can get this over with."

Tessa sat back in her chair, then started looking at me like I was some alien. It was a weird look, and then out of the blue, she rapidly started talking about something I had never heard before or even seen what she was trying to explain.

"I'm sorry, Tessa. I have no idea what you're talking about."

"How do you not remember? You were there," she calmly said, staring me in the face with zero emotions.

I waved my head from side to side, feeling confused, and I was probably looking at her like she was nuts. "No, Tessa. I wasn't. If I were, that would have been something I'd remember."

"I know you were there. I remember it quite well."

This was weird, and I was becoming more uncomfortable the longer I sat here talking to her and needed to change the subject. Then I asked what came to my mind the quickest since I couldn't figure it out. "By the way. How did you ever find me at that hotel?"

She looked at me for a moment, then snapped out of whatever world she was in, and raised a brow. "After we argued about you wanting a divorce, and left. I jumped in my car and followed you, making sure I was far enough behind, so you wouldn't see me. While following you, I was beginning to wonder if you did see me since you were driving around town for hours. Then, you parked in the hotel parking lot. I watched you look at your car, then go inside. When you never came out, I knew you got a room. Then I saw 'her' getting dropped off." She paused, looked away, and breathed a heavy sigh.

"I was a mess, and I was pissed. You served me at work. Then there was the fight at home. The truth about you and Brianna came out, and after you said you weren't fucking her, that you were making love to her, struck a nerve. I felt hurt and betrayed. Not only by you. But by her."

I chuckled a little. I thought it was a good line only because it was true. "You wanted the truth. So I gave you the truth."

Tessa's coloring of her face changed quickly. It turned a different shade of red, and then I watched her ears turn dark red, with some heavy steam leaving her ears. Then her eyes got wide with her pupils growing large and dark. She slammed her fist on the table, stood, then leaned over and slapped me hard across the face. "Asshole!"

That's it. My talk with Tessa is finished. I stood while rubbing the area where Tessa slapped me and looked at the people staring at us. "I need to go. I've stayed much longer than I had planned. Sign the damn papers, Tess. I'd like to move on with my life."

She stood quickly, rushed around the table, and when she got in my face, she grabbed hold of either side of my face and pressed her lips hard to mine, then wrapped her arms around me and tried getting me to kiss her back. I reached for her arms, pulled them off me, and held her arms firmly as I snapped, "Never. Do that to me again. Understood? We're over. We're over."

I shoved her back, then turned and walked quickly out of the cafe, thinking, what the fuck was I thinking? I should have fucking known this would happen with her. On the way home, I stopped at the floral shop. I was feeling guilty about going to that cafe with Tessa. And I was feeling more guilty that Tessa had her lips on mine. I walked the line of coolers displaying flowers, and when I found a giant bouquet of roses mixed with lilies, I opened the door, reached in, removed them, and brought them to the counter.

I couldn't get home to Brianna fast enough, and as I pulled into the driveway, the relief of being home and away from Tessa set in. First, I grabbed the flowers and headed inside, holding them behind me. And as Brianna walked around the corner smiling. I smiled. I took a couple of long strides over to her with my hand extended out and pulled her in for a long, deep, and very passionate kiss. Thanking God for bringing Brianna into my life and that we were still together after all the bullshit we've been through these past few months.

Her lips parted from mine, and she took a deep breath. "Wow, Nick. What was that for?" She breathed.

"I'm just happy to see you." I brought the flowers forward and smiled while holding them up for her to see. "These are for you."

She smiled widely, then arched a brow. "What are these for? And what did you do?"

"I didn't do anything wrong," I said, setting the record straight before she hears about where I've been. "I'm just happy. We're finally in our new home. I have a gorgeous woman standing in front of me, and we have a beautiful baby girl on the way. What much more can I ask for?"

She removed the bouquet from my hand, then walked them over to the dining room, set the vase in the center of the table, then rearranged the flowers to her liking. While she was doing that, I went back out to the car and started bringing in the belongings we had at the hotel. Brianna walked out over by me and started grabbing clothes out of the trunk.

"Hey," I warned.

"Why don't you just go back inside and relax. I can do this alone."

"It's alright. I can help."

******

I carried a large armful of clothes into the bedroom and dropped them on the bed. The room felt warm, and when I turned around, I noticed Brianna had a fire going. Seeing the fire had my mind thinking naughty thoughts and my dick twitching.

"Oops. I forgot to turn the fireplace off. Cora, Lydia, and Alex were here earlier, and I was showing them how beautiful it was," she said, walking over to the nightstand and reaching for the remote.

"You can leave it on," I winked. What better way is it to break-in the first day of your new home? And I feel the best way to break in our new home is for me to make love to the love of my life. On the floor and in front of a fire. I reached for Brianna's hand and pulled her to me. Then I covered her mouth with mine and sucked all the air out of her.

"God, I love you," I whispered as I glided my lips along her lower lip.

"I love you too," she responded with a smile, then pressed her lips to mine. Kissing me hard and showing me she owned me. In which she does. She holds my heart, and I only have eyes for her. Tessa may try to get me to break from Brianna, but she should know by now. That'll never happen. My eyes, heart, and dick will never ever stray from Brianna because she is my life.

I picked her up, carried Brianna over to the fireplace, and laid her on the floor beside it. Then I grabbed a couple of pillows and brought them over to Brianna, handing her one and dropping the other next to her. I lowered and hovered over her with a grin. "What do you say we Christian the bedroom, right here, right in front of the warm fire?"

"Why are you talking and not doing anything that'll Christian the room? I assumed that's what we were about to do, anyway," she smirked.

God, I love her.

I locked my lips with hers and kissed her until we both needed air to breathe. "I could taste these lips forever," I whispered, caressing the side of her face with the back of my finger. "And it will never get old." I lowered down and lifted her shirt, exposing her growing belly, then I trailed my lips all over her stomach, talking to it, "I'm about to bring your mother into another world. What I need you to do is cover your eyes. Tightly cover your eyes because I don't need you to see what excites your mother and what excites me."

"Nick," Brianna giggled.

"Well?" I smirked while removing her bottoms. "I don't want her looking at the meat twinkie or having her watch the cream explode when it overcooks."

Before she could say another word, I lowered my mouth, latched, sucked, and tugged on her clit. Loving the reaction I was getting from her. The moans. The purrs. The squirming and the panting when I started licking the plate. Making sure it was clean before I headed back to her lips and shared the fantastic taste of her with her.

Instead of me taking Brianna into another world, she decided she wanted to be in charge. She flipped me onto my back, saddled up, and took my pony for a ride. She took my pony for a long and hard, very rough ride. My hands gripped her hips, and I held her down firmly as my hips bucked high to release the cream.

I rolled her to her side and smiled while pecking at her lips. "Shame on you. I wanted to be the one to break in our new room," I said lowly.

"You were taking too long. Besides, I wanted to be the one to break in the room, and I wanted you to see what happens when two people fall in love, and they don't use any protection."

I chuckled. "You wanted me to see your belly?"

"Yep," she giggled. "As a reminder. A reminder of what's growing inside of me, a part of us. And I wanted to let you know that after she's born, and if we're still in love, I want to have another one," she said, pressing her lips gently to mine.

"Another one?" I chuckled with widened eyes. "Let's get used to the one first."

She nodded, then giggled. "Yes. I want at least a couple more kids. And I want them coming from you."

"And you'll get them," I winked. "I'll give you as many as you want. Because my plan is for us to be together forever, to grow old together, and to sit outside holding hands while watching our grandkids play."

"I can't wait for that either," she smiled. "But first things first. You need Tessa to sign the papers; then you need to propose to me, then we need to marry before any of that happens," she instructed as she ran her fingertips softly up and down my arm.

"And that is being worked on as we lay right here in each other's arms. I had another talk with Tessa, and I think I finally got through to her."

She tapped my nose and smiled. "Well, then. Let's just hope so. But until then, I won't hold my breath." She said, pushing herself up. "I better grab the rest of our things and finish putting everything away. I was hoping tonight we could lay on the couch, relax, and watch a movie."

"That works for me too."

Brianna left the room, and while I cleaned up and got myself dressed again, I heard Brianna yelling. Thinking something was wrong, I rushed out of the room and down the stairs, slipping on a couple of steps as I hurried to her. I found her in the kitchen, staring at her phone. "Why are you yelling? I thought you were being attacked!" I said, combing my hair with my fingers.

She looked away from her phone and over to me. And if looks could kill. I'd be a dead man right now. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"What the fuck, Nick? Do you mind telling me what this is all about?" She yelled, shaking as she held up her phone for me to see.

I looked, but I couldn't make out what she was trying to show me. "What in the world are you trying to show me?"

She stepped closer and smacked her phone down into my hand. "This. Explain this message and these fucking pictures attached to the message."

I looked from her Brianna to the phone, and then I looked back at Brianna when I saw it was from Tessa. I looked back at the phone, read the message, then began looking at the pictures Tessa sent her, and with each image I looked at, my heart sank. More in-depth and deeper with every photo I saw.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter!!
