Aaron's POV
Suddenly, I hear multiple knocks on my hotel room door which awakens me from my sleep. Actually, I wasn't sleeping, I was on my phone, and listening to the sounds coming off the television screen. I groan as I slide off my comfy bed and reluctantly head towards the door. As I open the door, I once again see the infamous, yet beautiful girl named Lydia.

"Hey." She says shyly and awkwardly; presenting a cute smile that deepens her dimples.

"Hi." I respond, completely shocked by her presence.

Silence creeps upon us but neither of us seems to mind. I lean on the door, hesitating to ask why she's here.

"Can I come in?"

"Uhh, yeah! Of course." I respond, opening the door more. Lydia cautiously walks inside the door and scans the room for a good minute.

"Uhh, I would make you food but I don't have a kitchen. Just this coffee machine." I say, pointing out the coffee machine but still waiting for her to answer why she's here. Suddenly, she turns around and looks me in the eye.

     "Can I sleep here?"

"What?" Shock overpowers my entire body and mind, and I become frozen. "I only have one bed."

"I'll sleep on the floor." She says persistently.

"The floor isn't soft though."

"It's carpeted. I'll survive.

"Can you stay with someone else?"

"No. You don't want me here?"

"No! I mean, yes, I want you here. But you have a boyfriend?"

Silence. She doesn't say anything. She just looks down, disappointed. Well, guess that answers my question.

"Alright, you could stay." I respond, hoping that I at least helped in any way possible. I don't like to see her sad. I don't like to see anyone sad.

"Thanks." She presents a small smile and looks at the bed, regretting what she said earlier about sleeping on the floor."

"It's alright. I'll sleep on the floor." I smile and grab a pillow and a blanket. Then, I proceed prepare my "bed" to lay down.

"Uhh, Aaron?"

"Yeah?" I say dozing off, speaking in a raspy voice.

"Can I borrow some clothes? I don't want to sleep in my own filth."

"Sure. It's in the drawer."

As I hear her searching for comfortable clothes in the drawers, I hear a small gasp. "You have nice underwear."

"I look good in it too." I remark with a grin, while still closing my eyes.

"Yeah, especially these SpongeBob SquarePants one."

My eyes quickly opens and I within a split second, I get up, "Alright, lady. You have one second to put that down."

"Honestly, I've never seen a man in college wear a SpongeBob underwear before. Uhh, who would've thought that would've been you?"

"I was dared to purchase those!"

"Sure." Lydia says laughing, and proceeding to carry my shirt which is way to big on her, and my sweatpants, which is also too big on her. But still, she's beautiful. Finally, she exits the restroom in my clothes with her hair up and jumps on the bed, and the entire time, I couldn't stop looking at her.

My eyes quickly moves away as I see her turn her head to me. Nonchalantly, I get up from the floor and as I'm about to turn off the lamp, Lydia yells no.

"No!" She yells as fear strucks her in the eyes.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't realize you were scare of the—"

"I'm not scared."

"And I'm not an asshole— oh wait." After I say that, I proceed to turn off the lights.

"AARON!!! TURN IT ON!!!" Lydia is screaming on the top of her lungs and I just laugh silently, making her feel like she's alone.

"Aaron! Fuck you, Aaron! Answer me!" I hear her feet land on the floor and that was when I had a grand idea of scaring her.

I crawl on the floor, listening closely to the floor slowing squeak, and just as Lydia turned her the lights, I jumped at her. She makes this hilarious faces before falling down and yanking on my arm to pull herself up. We both land hard on the floor and I laugh as she curses at me for scaring her.

"You know, I fucking hate you!" She says as she gets up, but I tug her down and unintentionally, she land on top of me and bangs her head on my chin.

"Fuck!" We both yell in unison.

Suddenly, as we look into each other's eyes, it seemed as if all the problems, the world, it just disappeared and focused on this very moment. I look at her lips, then back to her eyes, and damn! I just want to kiss her so badly. I lean closer to her, and she doesn't resist. Although, just as I'm about to kiss her, I moved away. Honestly, I regret turning my head and gently pushing her away, but it was the right thing to do.

"I'm so sorry, Lydia." I say, turning my back on her and pulling my hair back.

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't— I just— why didn't you kiss me?"

I turn around and see the disappointment in her eyes.

"Because if I kiss you, I want it to mean something to you. I want you to like me as much as I like you. I don't want to use your vulnerable state to my advantage and mistreat you. I respect you too much."
