Eira laid down in the middle of the road and she looked up at the sky, looking up at all the stars in the sky. She had laid down in the road next to Damon.

"This is bad self-medicating," Eira stated.

"I know," Damon agreed.

"Why did you even bring me out here?" Eira asked.

"To keep me from killing someone," Damon answered.

"Uh, fine," Eira said. "Only because I love you."

A car came down the road and it stopped right in front of Eira and Damon. The person got out of the car and ran to them, asking if they were okay. The person wasn't filled with vervain because Damon vamp sped at the person and bit into their neck. Eira stood up and she went over to them.

"Okay, Damon. I think that's enough," Eira said, putting her hand on Damon's shoulder once she thought he had enough blood.

Damon pulled away with blood dripping down his face. He compelled the woman to forget what happened and to go home. The woman got in her car and drove away. Damon sat down in the middle of the road again. He pulled out a flask from his jacket pocket and took a swig from it.

"I miss her," Damon admitted, staring off into space. Eira sat down next to him and she gave him a side hug.

"It's all going to be okay, Day. I promise," Eira swore.

It was now the month of March. One month after Elena died. Caroline was staying at the Salvatore boarding house because it was the only house with vervain free showers. Stefan and Rebekah were looking for the cure and Damon decided to help because he had nothing better to do.

Stefan had been called by Liz to the Sheriffs department about blood bags going missing in the hospital. So, Damon and Eira went to Klaus's house because he had found out that Klaus was having conversations with the werewolf, Hayley, who knew about Katherine.

Klaus opened the door to his house and Damon just walked right in without permission. Eira shook her head at his lack of manners. Eira smiled at Klaus and he was momentarily dazed while she walked in.

"What a pleasant surprise," Klaus stared at Eira and her stomach fluttered.

"So I just came up with a list," Damon said as he strolled into the parlor, taking out a piece of paper. Klaus looked away from Eira and focused on Damon.

"It's called "Things You Suck At." Number one: Finding Katherine. Ever. Number two: covering up your secret phone conversations with that little backstabber Hayley," Damon waved the phone transcripts around and set them on the end table. "Yeah, so, where is she? What does she know about Katherine?"

"I should help you?" Klaus questioned. "Is that why you brought Eira along?"

"No, she came on her own," Damon shook his head. "But, yes, you should help."

"After you lot tried to kill my brother and imprisoned us both in the Gilbert living room?" Klaus got angry and Eira went to him, grabbing his hand, calming him down.

"You might want to prioritize, Klaus," Damon started. "I mean, your first priority should always be my sister and if it's not, I'll ram the white oak stake into your chest cavity. But, right now you have much bigger problems."

Klaus lightly smirked at Damon's threat towards him if he were to hurt Eira. That was the last thing he would ever do.

"Katherine has the cure," Damon said and Klaus was displeased. "My guess is she's gonna want to cram it down your throat. You help me find Katherine, I'll get the cure, I'll give it to Rebekah, everybody wins. Just let me question Hayley about Katherine."

"Can't help you, mate. Hayley's off limits," Klaus said, letting go of Eira and sitting on the couch. "Although, I did have a run in with a vampire who may know where Katerina is. Too bad for you, I bit halfway through his bloody neck. He probably won't have much time for chit-chat."

Damon glared and Klaus told him where he last saw the vampire. Damon went to leave, but he looked at Eira. He would need her blood to heal this vampire,"I'll wait in the car for you."

Damon left and Eira sat down next to Klaus on the couch. She folded her legs under her and ran her fingers over Klaus's cheek. He leaned into her touch, but then she pulled her hands away, having him look intently at her.

"Who's Hayley?" Eira questioned and she crossed her arms, once she had Klaus's full attention.

Klaus smirked,"Are you jealous?"

"Should I be?" Eira asked in slight worry and Klaus grabbed her chin, pulling her towards him so her lips could connect with his.

He kissed her, deeply and then he pulled away, speaking against her lips,"You're the only one I want."

"You're positive?" Eira asked with a frown.

"You don't need to be insecure. I love you, just you," Klaus smiled and he kissed her again.

Eira didn't push the issue of Hayley nor did she bring up the fact that Klaus was using Hayley to get information on Katherine, her best friend. She couldn't be upset with Klaus for keeping things from her when she had a secret of her own.

Damon and Eira went to the truck stop where Klaus last saw the vampire that knew Katherine. Damon called Rebekah and Stefan and told them to meet at the truck stop.

Rebekah and Stefan showed up and they all didn't find the vampire but Damon had an idea of where the vampire would be. At the hospital.

They found the blood supply room in the hospital and all the blood bags were gone. Stefan told them that this happened in Mystic Falls as well and Damon told them that this was someone else's doing, not the vampire with the werewolf bite.

Damon devised a plan on how to get the vampire to come to them: use Eira's super intoxicating blood. Eira let Damon bite her wrist and they waited for the vampire to come to them if the vampire smelt the blood.

"How do you know he'll smell it?" Eira asked.

"Oh, trust me. He'll smell it. Honestly, I don't know how Nik stays around you so much. Your blood is the most intoxicating I've ever smelt," Rebekah stated.

A man started walking through the parking lot very sluggishly towards them. Damon vamp sped towards the person and held him by the collar of his shirt. Damon knew the person and he put him out of his misery by ripping out his heart.

All of them were shocked that he would do that. Damon was shocked himself but the truth was he didn't want to take the chance that Stefan would take the cure and then when Stefan died of old age, he would lose his brother.

Klaus was with Hayley, he was trying to get information out of her about Katherine. Rebekah had called and informed him that the vampire that had hunted her was dead.

"My sister informs me that your vampire assailant is dead, so you're safe and free to go," Klaus stated, walking into the room.

Hayley was slightly drunk and she walked towards Klaus. She bit her lip and she ran a finger down his chest,"I could be persuaded to stay, enjoy some of the good life. And maybe I could drum up a few more of Katherine's secrets."

Klaus clenched his jaw and he grabbed her wrist, holding it away from him. He held it so tightly that it was sure to bruise later. She winced and tried pulling her hand out his steel grip.

"I just got back the girl I love. If you did anything to mess that up, I'd rip your head from your shoulders," Klaus threatened and he let go of her wrist. "Now leave."

Hayley quickly hurried out of his house.

Damon and Eira were back in the Salvatore house. Eira hugged Damon, comforting him about the friend that he killed. Stefan and Rebekah were at her house.

"You're brother has lost his mind," Rebekah was upset about Damon ruining the chances of finding the cure.

"Maybe it's for the best," Stefan stated.

"What?" Rebekah looked at him disbelief.

"Only you would be able to take it, Rebekah. You would live out your life as a human doing normal things. Being ordinary. I wouldn't be in your life," Stefan said. "Is that what you really want?"

"I want a family. I have to be human to do that," Rebekah answered.

"You have a family, Rebekah. You may not see it the same way, but they do love you. You bicker a lot, but it's a family," Stefan said. "Why don't you think about that?"

Stefan vamp sped away from her and Rebekah sighed, having a lot to think about now. She didn't want to lose Stefan, but she did want children of her own.

Eira drove her motorcycle to Klaus's house. She went through the door, not bothering to knock because it was practically her second home. She found Klaus in his art room and she wrapped her arms around him from behind.

"What are you doing here? You never stay late at night?" Klaus questioned as she kissed the back of his shoulder.

"I brought a overnight bag. I wanted to stay with you. I'm having trouble sleeping," Eira revealed.

"Then we'll have to remedy that," Klaus turned around and he grabbed her hand, leading her to his bedroom.

Eira went into the bathroom and she changed into her sleepwear. Klaus vamp sped, changing into other clothes. Eira came out of the bathroom and she climbed into the bed, her being used to it.

Klaus was hesitant, though. Eira looked at him from the bed and she beckoned him over with her hand. He immediately came to her and laid down next to her. She curled up next to him, laying her head on his chest, like she used to.

Klaus wrapped his arm around her and he asked,"Why are you having trouble sleeping?"

"Because I spend all day with you and then I miss you at night so I can't sleep," Eira answered and Klaus smiled.

"I love you," Klaus kissed the top of her head.

Eira smiled and she lifted her head up. She kissed him a goodnight and she laid her head back on his chest. She entwined her hand with his, like she used to.

"I love you, too," Eira responded.

Author's Note: See, you readers were being so insecure. There was no way I was having Klaus get with Hayley. There is only going to be about 4 or 5 chapters and then I'm done with season 4.

But, Eira has a secret. What do you think that is?
