It was a week before Christmas. Eira had Stefan and Damon go pick out a tree. They complied because Eira's mood was slowly getting better. She was getting into the holiday spirit and she smiled a lot.

While they got the tree, Eira went shopping with Rebekah for the ornaments to decorate the tree and also to get gifts for people. When Eira got home, she found the tree in the living room, just laying on the floor.

Eira set her bags down and her brothers came into the living room. She looked at them, "Why is it just laying on the floor?"

"I told you we should've put the tree up," Stefan scolded Damon which made Eira look directly at Damon.

Damon held his hands up in surrender, "I'm sorry. You said to get the tree. We got the tree."

Eira shook her head and she looked at the tree. Stefan walked over to the tree and pointedly looked at Damon, "We'll put the tree up."

Damon came over and helped Stefan. They each held one side and lifted it so it stood upright. They carried it to the tree stand and put the tree stump into it. Then they screwed in the bolts at the bottom to make the tree stay in place.

"There," Damon stated, wiping off the green leaflets. "All done."

"That's fine. I can decorate it myself. Watch this," Eira stated, excitedly.

Eira went over to one of the bags of decorations. She grabbed a star that went on the top of the tree. She walked over to the tree and she held the star out to one of the tree branches. The tree branches moved, grabbing a hold of the star and passing it up to the next branch until it got to the top, where that branch rested the star.

"Wow," Damon wore a look of disbelief. "Christmas trees will never be the same in my mind again."

Eira laughed and Stefan just nodded along with Damon, agreeing with him. Her brothers eventually left the room and Eira decorated the tree, well more like the tree decorated itself.

Once the tree was completely decorated, Eira smiled, proud of herself and of the tree. She took the empty bags and threw them away while she took the bags with gifts upstairs to her room.

It was Christmas morning. Eira woke up bright and early in the morning. She took a shower and got dressed, rushing down the stairs. She went into the kitchen where she made herself some hot chocolate. Stefan had introduced it to her the night before, Christmas Eve. She was in love with hot chocolate or anything chocolate.

Eira went into the living room and her brothers slowly entered the room, looking tired. Eira had put an alarm clock in their room the day before without them knowing, so they got a rude awakening.

"So, I'm guessing our gifts were alarm clocks? Thank you so very much," Damon said, sarcastically.

"I just wanted you both to be up early because I love Christmas," Eira said, excitedly even though it was early in the morning.

"So, we'll, uh, start with gifts," Stefan suggested, crossing his arms.

Eira ran over to the stockings hanging off the table. She got her brothers' stockings and brought them over to her brothers. They took it and they reached inside the stocking, pulling out a wrapped box.

They both opened their boxes to reveal rings. They were pure silver rings, that had the initials of siblings. Stefan's was a light silver that said D & E. While Damon's was a black silver ring that had the initials S & E. Eira wore hers already and it was smaller ring, meant for girls with the initials S & D. But all the rings had engraved around them, Siblings Through Thick and Thin.

"I thought that if we all wore these, that they'd always connect us all together, " Eira explained, biting her lip, waiting for their reactions.

Stefan put the ring on his finger, and he smiled at Eira, "Yeah, I love it, Eira. It's great."

Stefan came over and hugged Eira as a thank you for the gift. When he pulled away, Eira looked at Damon in anticipation.

"Siblings through it all, uh?" Damon stated, inspecting the ring and he looked up at Eira with a smile. "That doesn't sound so bad."

Eira smiled widely once she knew she got both of her brothers' approval. Damon slipped on the ring and looked at her with a smirk, "Now I know why you were asking for our ring sizes last week."

Eira nodded, but then she looked at Stefan, "I have one more gift for you."

"That's not fair," Damon pouted.

"It's not even really a gift. Just watch," Eira said, grabbing a gift bag from beneath the tree and handing it to Stefan.

Stefan took out the wrapping paper, hesitantly and he reached inside the bag, pulling out the gift. It was a stuffed bunny.

Stefan's face pulled together in confusion, "Why a stuffed bunny?"

"Well, I figured you could practice apologizing to all the little, defenseless animals that you've hurt," Eira joked.

Damon laughed out loud and Eira started to laugh as well. Stefan just playfully glared at them, "I'm glad you two enjoy this so much."

"Oh, I do," Damon stated, still chuckling. "This is the highlight of my day."

Stefan hummed, still playfully glaring. He put the stuffed bunny back in the bag and put off to the side, probably never wanting to see that bunny again.

Damon stopped laughing and he grabbed a present from the tree. He handed it to Eira and she took the bag from him. Damon didn't even have wrapping paper in the bag. So, she just reached her hand inside, pulling out the gift. It was a black leather jacket.

Eira looked up at Damon, "Day, if you wanted to be twins, all you had to was ask."

"Yes, that's my life mission," Damon rolled his eyes.

Eira put on the jacket and it fit her perfectly. She looked at Stefan and joked, "I'm de-twinning you in favor of wearing black leather jackets."

"Biology says otherwise," Stefan stated the obvious.

"It's a joke, Stef, " Eira explained and looked at Damon with a smile. She threw her arms around him in a hug,"Thank you."

Once she let go of Damon, Stefan spoke,"My gift is waiting for you outside. Well, it was my idea and Damon agreed."

Stefan started walking to the outside and Eira followed him in confusion. Once she got outside to the driveway, her mouth dropped open. Her gift was a motorcycle.

Eira walked closer to the motorcycle and she gently ran hand over the seat,"This-This is... is mine?"

"Yes, Eira, it is yours," Stefan answered with a bit of a chuckle. "It's a Ducati Sport 1000."

Eira let out a inhuman squeal. She turned around and attacked Stefan in a hug. If not for his vampire strength, he would've been tackled to the ground. Eira jumbled out as many thank you's as possible. After hugging Stefan, she hugged Damon as well.

She pulled away from Damon and walked back to the motorcycle. She gently touched the seat, the motorcycle being a prized possession that she would be delicate with.

"I can ride it?" Eira questioned, still in disbelief.

Stefan pulled out the keys when Eira turned towards him. She went to grab it, but he pulled his hand away, "You have to drive with the helmet on at all times, okay?"

Eira nodded her head up and down, a smile exploding onto her face. He held the keys out to her again and she took them. She held them in her hand for a moment, committing the moment to memory.

Eira turned towards the bike, grabbing the black helmet and she put it on. She hopped on the motorcycle and put the kickstand up. She put the keys in the ignition and turned the key. The engine started, giving a powerful purr from the machine.

Eira looked at her brothers, "I'll be back later."

Stefan blurted out,"Be careful," while Damon said, "Have fun."

Eira just nodded to both of them and she revved the gas a bit, making the motorcycle start moving. Once it got moving fast enough, she put her legs up on the foot bars and she was off, speeding out of the driveway.

Her brothers stood there for a moment and Stefan spoke,"How long do you think she's gonna be gone?"

"All day. For sure," Damon answered and they went back inside the house.

It was now New Years Eve day. Eira had requested Stefan take a gift she had picked out for Rebekah. But, really, it was an elaborate scheme she planned out, that was bound to work perfectly. Damon coached her, of course.

Stefan went to Rebekah's house the night of New Years Eve. He was pacing all day because he was trying to figure out what to say to her when he got there. He found that being in Rebekah's presence made him nervous. He didn't want to screw it up.

He knocked on Rebekah's door, even though she told him many times that he didn't have to. It was the mannerly thing to do. He waited outside the door, holding a box wrapped gift from Eira and a gift bag, his own gift to Rebekah.

The door opened and Rebekah was revealed. His heart lurched into his throat. Rebekah had an amused smile on her face.

"How many more times do I have to tell you that you don't have to knock?" Rebekah questioned.

"At least once more," Stefan blurted out.

Rebekah smiled at Stefan's mannerly behavior. She thought it was sweet and she liked it. She left the door open and she walked away, with Stefan trailing behind her like foot soldier.

"I'm glad you came," Rebekah started. "When Eira and I went gift shopping, we coordinated. She said you would like this."

Rebekah held up a tiny wrapped box and Stefan grabbed it from her. He opened it and he saw a bracelet inside. A Bon Jovi bracelet.

"She said you liked Bon Jovi," Rebekah explained.

Stefan smiled and he put the bracelet around his wrist,"She was right. Thank you, you didn't have to."

"I wanted to," Rebekah stated.

Stefan looked at her and he handed her the gift bag that was from himself, "This one is from me."

Rebekah took out the wrapping paper and then she pulled out the gift, slowly. It was the white oak stake, the indestructible one. The stake he got from Elena.

Rebekah looked at him in shock,"Why did you give this to me?"

"I want you to have it. I don't want you to die and, well, I'm not going to kill one of your family members," Stefan explained, stepping closer to her and tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I care about you."

"If this is some ploy or some trick....," she didn't meet Stefan's eyes.

Stefan put his fingers underneath her chin and gently raised her face so she looked at him. His gaze was intense and sincere as he spoke,"This isn't a trick. I would never hurt you."

His touch was like warm electricity. It sparked through her body until it reached her heart. The heart that she kept behind walls in fear of being used. But one look and one touch from him and those walls melted.

Stefan stepped away from her and she let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding. She vamp sped away and hid the white oak stake. When she returned, Stefan held out another gift, the one from Eira.

"Eira said to give this to you," Stefan stated.

Rebekah took the wrapped box. She opened the top and she laughed once she saw what was inside. A smile lit up her whole face and Stefan thought she looked so beautiful.

"She's one clever girl," Rebekah pulled out what was inside the box, holding up mistletoe.

"She didn't," Stefan muttered to himself.

"You don't have to kiss me, Stefan," Rebekah started putting the mistletoe back in the box. "It's fine if you don't want to."

Stefan didn't want her to think that he didn't want to kiss her, because he did. So, he reacted. Stefan kissed her on the lips, setting Rebekah's nerves alight. She felt like jelly between his hands as he kissed her. She felt feather-light as if she were walking on air. She completely and utterly melted. She kissed him back, molding their lips together.

Rebekah smiled as she pulled away and leaned her forehead against his. Stefan smiled as well as he held both sides of her face with his hands. They were in a happy bubble.

Stefan didn't come home till past midnight on New Years. He stayed with Rebekah, kissing her. When he walked through the door of his house, he had the biggest smile on his face that was unremovable.

Stefan was ambushed by Damon who took notice of Stefan's wide smile and he wore a smirk,"So, I take it the mistletoe worked?"

"You helped Eira plan it?" Stefan questioned, still sporting a smile.

"Obviously, we both wanted to see what would happen between you and Barbie Klaus," Damon explained. "Eira fell asleep an hour ago, though."

It was silent for a moment before Damon smirked again and he teased,"I'm guessing the smile points out that you're lovestruck now?"

"Shut up," Stefan groaned and walked away from Damon, but Stefan still wore a smile, thinking about Rebekah.

Author's Note: Okay, so this is the Christmas chapter. It's funny how this somehow worked out perfectly to align with the actual Christmas holiday.

I'll get back to the actual episodes in the next chapter. I apologize for no Klaus, but yeah.
