The next day was the Winter Wonderland event in Mystic Falls. Eira was going because she had nothing better to do and Stefan was supposed to be going because of Rebekah. Stefan and Eira figured out that Damon did not send Elena away from him as she was there in the morning. They both went to the Gilbert lake house to help Jeremy.
Eira got dressed into a black off-the-shoulder dress that went down to her mid-thigh. She wore black heels. She probably looked like she was going to a funeral but she didn't care.
Stefan brought Eira to the event before taking her to go find Rebekah in the crowd of people that were around. Eira looked around at all the activities that were going on as they walked, noticing the man-made snow being blown about.
Stefan found Rebekah in the crowd dressed in a short green dress with silver gems on it. He thought she looked amazing and Stefan had stopped walking, causing Eira to run right into him. She looked in the direction he was looking wondering what caused him to stop. She saw Rebekah and Eira smiled at Stefan's dumbfounded look.
"Come on, Stef," Eira pushed him forward. "Let's go say hi to Rebekah."
Stefan nodded and followed Eira still keeping his eyes on Rebekah. Once they walked to her, Rebekah took notice of them and her eyes drifted to Stefan, she thought he looked handsome in a tux.
"Hey, Bekah," Eira greeted her.
"Eira," Rebekah nodded her head at her in greeting.
"You look beautiful," Stefan blurted out to Rebekah.
Rebekah smiled,"Do I?"
"The most beautiful person here," Stefan complimented.
Rebekah smiled wider and Stefan put his hands in his pockets,"Do you, um, want to walk around with us?"
"Why not?" Rebekah stated and Stefan smiled.
Rebekah walked around with them. Eventually Stefan and Rebekah had started holding hands as they walked, not even knowing that they were. Eira had drifted behind them, getting an idea in her head. A mischievous idea.
The man-made snow was next to them and she grabbed a handful of it, forming it into a ball. Stefan was completely oblivious to what Eira was doing, too caught up with Rebekah which offered Eira her chance.
She threw the snowball.
The snowball hit Stefan on his back and Stefan stopped walking. By the time Stefan turned around, Eira had another snowball and huge smile on her face.
Rebekah just watched the scene unfold between the siblings and Stefan had a serious look on his face,"Eira, let go of the snowball."
"Okay," Eira said and Stefan sighed in relief. But then she threw the snowball at Stefan and it hit him on the chest. Rebekah laughed.
Stefan's tux was now wet and he shook his head with a smile on his face. Stefan grabbed the man-made snow next to them and formed a snowball. He threw the snowball at Eira and it hit her in the stomach.
Eira went to get another snowball but Stefan was quicker than her because he had vampire abilities. Stefan had already formed another snowball and thrown it at Eira again, it hitting her in the side of her face.
She gasped and looked at Stefan,"You're cheating."
"Yes, he is," Rebekah said from behind Stefan. She took the snowball in her hand and smashed it atop Stefan's head.
"You're not supposed to cheat," Rebekah wiped her hands of the snow and walked to the front of Stefan.
Eira smiled in triumph along with Rebekah. Stefan ran his hands through his hair, trying to get all the snow out.
"You teamed up on me," Stefan shook his head at the two of them.
"Girls have to stick together," Rebekah replied.
"Uh huh, I see," Stefan said and grabbed another snowball.
Rebekah frowned,"No. Stefan don't."
Stefan threw the snowball at Rebekah and it hit her on the leg. Rebekah wiped the snow from her leg, letting a small smile out because she was experiencing the act of fun.

After Eira's successful plan of a snowball fight. She was cold from the wet water from the man-made snow that drenched her. So, she left Stefan and Rebekah and went inside The Mystic Grill, telling them she was going to dry off.
Stefan and Rebekah were holding hands walking around and Stefan had a smile on his face as well as Rebekah.
"I can see why Nik likes her. She's very spontaneous and sweet," Rebekah commented.
"I don't really want to talk about my sister's love life," Stefan frowned.
"Of course you don't. She means too much to you. I admire that," Rebekah said.
"You care about your brothers. You know, it must be hard being the only girl in the family," Stefan thought.
"Hard? Try annoying," Rebekah rolled her eyes, thinking about it and Stefan chuckled.
"I like that you are. You wouldn't be who you are if you weren't," Stefan said, squeezing Rebekah's hand making her take notice of their hand holding.
Rebekah smiled at their entwined hands while Stefan smiled at her. They continued to walk around, talking to one another, absorbed in only noticing one another.

Eira was in The Grill. She had made an attempt to dry herself off in the bathroom, but the attempt was useless. She exited the bathroom and walked through the crowd. She stopped though as she took notice of a painting. A painting of a snowflake.
She studied it for a moment before she felt like she was being watched. She turned her head and she saw Klaus standing at the other side of the round table. She smiled.
He walked around the table, closing the distance between them. She spoke,"You drew a snowflake."
"Is my work really that literal?" Klaus asked.
Eira bit her lip and put a hand up, holding two of her fingers close together where they almost touched,"Maybe just a tiny bit."
She put her hand down and smiled up at him,"But that's okay. It's a nice, sad snowflake."
"I'm gonna take that as a compliment," Klaus tucked a wet strand of her hair behind her ear. "Why is one side of your hair wet?"
Eira looked at the ground and said sheepishly,"I had a snowball fight with Stefan."
Klaus chuckled and Eira looked up at him. She liked the sound of his laugh. But it was really she just liked him being happy.
"And where is your brother now?" Klaus questioned after he laughed.
"With Rebekah," Eira answered and she grabbed Klaus's hand, playing with his fingers.
Klaus took a step closer to her and Eira took an intake of breath. Eira dropped his hand, his close proximity making her nervous. Klaus reached up with that hand and caressed her cheek.
"I'm glad you're here," Klaus stated.
Eira looked into his eyes, the eyes she loved to stare at. She was completely consumed by him, nothing else seemed to matter. Klaus leaned in towards her, to kiss her. She breathed erratically as he did and she shook her head. Eira turned her head, making him stop.
"I-I....I can't," Eira removed his hand from her cheek and stepped away from him. "I'm sorry."
Eira walked away from him and she exited The Grill. Klaus followed her and once she took a few steps out of The Grill, Klaus grabbed her arm.
"Eira, I'm sorry," Klaus pleaded. "Just, don't go."
"I can't be with you, Klaus," Eira revealed and her eyes became teary. "I know you love me, but I don't love you. I can't lead you on like that, it's wrong. I'm sorry."
Eira walked away from him and with her, she took his heart. He wanted to destroy everything in his path because his heart broke. This one girl had broken him completely with a single paragraph of words.
Eira walked through the crowds of people, not even looking where she was going. She didn't want to hurt Klaus, but she was hurting him anyway. She didn't know her own feelings and she hated it. There was a never a moment in time where she wanted to remember something so badly.
Eira wasn't taking in her surroundings. She had walked through the crowds of people and got to outskirts of the crowd. Someone snuck up behind her and put a hand over her mouth and her nose, keeping her from breathing. Vines started crawling up the person behind her but before they could stop him, Eira passed out and the vines fell back into the ground.
________________
Eira opened her eyes and she sat up immediately. She was in some cellar, locked in one part of it because there was a barred fence keeping her inside.
She crawled over to the bars looking outside of them. She saw a bunch of people, a dozen of them. She recognized one as a hybrid.
"What am I doing here?" Eira asked them.
One of the hybrids spoke up. It was a girl. She answered,"We're getting rid of Klaus. We're gonna use you to lure him here. It's nothing personal."
"What? No, you can't," Eira pulled at the bars. "Please, don't."
"Sorry, but we just want to be free," the hybrid answered.
Eira felt like her chest constricted at the thought of Klaus being hurt and gotten rid of. She didn't know if she loved him, but she cared about him. She wasn't going to let him get hurt, she couldn't. She refused.
All of the hybrids had left cellar and Eira took her hands off the bars of the cell,"Klaus won't be hurt."
That was the only thought running through her mind. Klaus won't be hurt. Eira willed it to be so. Eira closed her eyes and the wind picked up inside the cell she was in. It formed a little tornado of wind before it launched itself at the cell door, blowing it across the cellar.
Eira opened her eyes and she stood up. She ran out of the cellar and all of the hybrids were outside. They all looked at her.
"How did you get out?" The female hybrid asked and started walking towards her.
"Klaus won't be hurt," Eira repeated out loud to all of the hybrids.
The hybrid girl kept walking towards Eira and vines erupted out of the ground, quickly wrapping around her neck and pulling so hard, that it ripped the girl's head off.
The other hybrids went into a state of alarm and started rushing towards Eira with hybrid speed. But none of them were quick enough to evade their own deaths.
The closest hybrid to Eira went up in flames, burning until he became ash. Others had their hearts ripped out by the vines, their supernatural strength pushing into their chests. One was torn limp from limp until he was nothing but a mess of guts and blood. One was taken by the vines and lifted up and thrown into a tree branch that pierced the hybrid's heart. The remaining had their heads chopped off by the thorns that grew out of the vines.
After all the hybrids were killed, after the sound of organs being removed and the screams had disappeared, it was silent. It was a massacre and Eira stood in the middle of it all. Blood had flown everywhere, and she was drenched in blood and little pieces of guts.

Stefan was with Rebekah when he saw Tyler arguing with Caroline. Tyler stormed away from Caroline and Stefan walked over to Caroline with Rebekah.
"Caroline, what happened?" Stefan asked.
Caroline looked at him guiltily,"Tyler has a plan with his hybrids to take down Klaus. He'll be gone by tonight but.... Stefan their using Eira to lure Klaus into a trap."
Stefan was furious,"Where are they?"
"The Lockwood Cellar," Caroline answered.
Stefan let go of Rebekah's hand and angrily stormed through the crowds of people, looking for Klaus. He found him and Klaus smirked when he saw him. That was quickly wiped off when Stefan grabbed Klaus by tux jacket.
"I would suggest you take a step back," Klaus threatened.
"And I would suggest you get your hybrids under control," Stefan replied back, and Rebekah put a hand on Stefan's shoulder and he let go of Klaus.
"What are you talking about?" Klaus questioned.
"Tyler and your hybrids are going to lead you into a trap so they can get rid of you. They're using Eira to do it," Stefan explained, glaring.
"Where are they?" Klaus asked, still worried for Eira's safety.
"The Lockwood Cellar," Stefan answered and Klaus immediately pushed through the crowds of people.
Hayley had watched the whole interaction. Her plan was still working, even though she didn't have to tell Klaus his hybrids were after him. The twelve hybrids would be dead. Hayley ran into Tyler in the crowd and she told him that she lied about having a witch to get rid of Klaus.
Klaus went through the crowds of people with Stefan and Rebekah following. Once they got enough distance away, they all vamp sped to the Lockwood Cellar. When they arrived there within in a second, they were shocked by what they saw. A massacre and Eira in the center of it all.
"Bloody hell," Rebekah blurted out.
Klaus and Stefan simply had no words to say. Eira looked to them, and then she looked around her, finally realizing what she had done. All she wanted was for Klaus not to be hurt, she didn't want to kill people.
Eira lifted up her arms, seeing them covered in blood. She wiped furiously at the blood with her hands, only managing to swirl the blood around. She let out a sob.
Stefan rushed over to her and he grabbed her hands,"Eira, stop. It's okay."
"I killed them. They were going to hurt you and I killed them," Eira choked out as she started to cry, looking at Klaus.
Klaus may have been hurt by her words, but he felt horrible that she had to kill because of him, for him. He didn't want that for her.
The tears weren't visible on her face as she cried because they fell down her bloodied cheek. Stefan pulled Eira to him, holding her against his chest as she cried.
Stefan vamp sped away with Eira, wanting her to be away from all the dead bodies that she was cause of. He brought Eira up to her room and into her bathroom. He turned on the shower and placed Eira under the steady drizzle of water.
Her shoulders shook as she still just cried. She saw the steady stream of blood flowing into the drain and it made her cry even more.
"Eira," Stefan called and she looked up at him. "I'm going to leave the room, so you can get changed, okay? And then I'll be back. Okay?"
Eira slowly nodded and Stefan left her room. Once he left, Eira peeled the bloody wet dress off of her along with her undergarments. She let the water wash away all of the blood on her bare skin. Once no more blood went down the drain, she turned off the shower and got a towel, wrapping it around herself.
She had stopped crying, entering the numb phase. She went into her closet and got dressed into sleepwear. She came out of her closet and she sat on her bed with her legs folded and her arms wrapped around them, just staring into oblivion.
Stefan came into her room later, he was dressed in other clothes. He sat down on the edge of her bed next to her.
"Eira...," Stefan started but was cut off.
"Is this what happens when people care? Bad things happen?" Eira asked.
"Bad things are always going to happen whether you care or not," Stefan answered and he pulled Eira against him, wrapping an arm around her.
Eira didn't sob but silent tears fell from her eyes,"I'm not even upset that I killed them. I'm upset that I did it so easily. What kind of person am I?"
"Eira, you're still a wonderful, pure person. You're intentions were to save Klaus because you care. That's the purest intention there is," Stefan comforted her.
Eira didn't say anything. She just clung to Stefan as silent tears fell from her eyes. Stefan held her until she fell asleep.
Stefan left Eira once she was asleep and he went downstairs. He was surprised to find Rebekah waiting for him in the living room.
She stood up from the couch,"How is she?"
"She just massacred people. She's not okay," Stefan said.
Stefan realized he said the word massacre. His little sister had massacred people. His twin. Tears started to fall from Stefan's eyes as he realized his sister would go through the pain of killing twelve people.
Rebekah went to Stefan and hugged him. He hugged her back. Rebekah realized that Stefan and Eira were two people that were apart of the same soul. Whatever pain Eira felt, he felt as well.
