It was late morning when Eira woke up. Klaus was running his hands through her hair. She stayed in place for a moment, blinking her eyes awake. She moved her head and lifted it to look at Klaus.

"You didn't have to stay with me while I slept," Eira stated.

"On the contrary, love, I do. You never let go of my hand," Klaus explained.

Eira shifted her eyes to her hand and she saw that their hands were entwined. She made an 'oh' shape with her mouth and she blushed.

"Sorry," Eira sheepishly apologized.

"Don't ever apologize for holding my hand. I want you to," Klaus said.

"Okay," Eira slowly agreed.

Eira moved away from him and got out of the bed. Since she got up, Klaus got up as well. Eira started walking towards the bedroom door but she turned and looked at Klaus.

"I'm going to change," Eira explained and she walked away. She went into the guest bedroom where her bag was with clothes.

She went into the bathroom and showered. Then she changed. Once she was ready she checked her phone on the dresser. She had a bunch of missed calls from Stefan and Damon. She ignored them and went out of the guest room and walked down the stairs.

As soon as she got downstairs, Klaus vamp sped in front of her and she took a step back, startled by his sudden appearance.

Klaus reached for her hand but stopped. He gestured towards her hand,"May I?"

Eira smiled and she grabbed Klaus's hand. He led her through the house to the kitchen. Klaus led her to a table with breakfast food on it and he pulled a seat out for her.

Eira smiled,"Are you a cook now?"

Klaus chuckled,"No, I had one of my compelled humans make everything."

Klaus sat down in the seat next to her and she asked,"Do you even know how to cook?"

"Yes, love, I do. I just don't see the point in it when I can have people do it for me," Klaus answered. "Plus, I only eat food on special occasions."

"Why is today a special occasion?" Eira asked, biting into some bacon.

"Because you're here," Klaus replied, staring at her.

Eira gulped down her food and she blushed. Everything about Klaus was so familiar to her yet so new. It was conflicting and confusing to her. She had these old feelings that were already set in her and then she had these new feelings where she was just getting to know him.

Klaus was staring at her intensely and Eira was lost in his eyes. Rebekah walked into the kitchen, breaking up their staring contest. Klaus turned his head and glared at Rebekah.

"I see you have your little girlfriend back," Rebekah commented, opening the fridge and getting a blood bag.

Klaus sighed and ignored the comment,"And where are you going?"

"To The Grill," Rebekah answered. "I have a friend."

"Don't tell me you're going to bribe the help? Matt, is it?" Klaus questioned.

Eira smacked his shoulder,"Matt is perfectly nice. You just shush it."

Klaus looked at Eira in surprise and Rebekah smiled in triumph,"Yes, Nik, why don't you just shush?"

Klaus rolled his eyes and then he stood up from the table,"Well, seeing Matt is going to have to wait. You're needed. The brotherhood of The Five still exists."

"What did you just say?" Rebekah asked in disbelief.

"Come on, I'll show you," Klaus said and he grabbed Eira's hand, pulling her up from the chair and she stumbled.

She fell into Klaus's side and he had to put an arm around her to steady her. Once she was balanced on her feet, she looked up at him shyly and stepped away,"Sorry."

Klaus looked into her eyes again but then he looked away and started walking to lead Rebekah and Eira to the hunter. He brought them into a room where a dark-skinned man was chained up against a wooden board. Eira noticed that he had a tattoo on his arm.

Rebekah was about to say something when Klaus stated,"Looks like I'll have to beef up the hybrid security detail."

Stefan walked out of the shadows,"I was gonna take him, but I figured you went through such trouble to truss him up in your red room of pain."

"It's from the Inquisition. I thought it was a nice touch," Klaus looked at the wooden board the hunter was chained to.

Rebekah rolled her eyes at Klaus but then she looked at Stefan,"Breaking into the house? What do you want?"

"Yes, what brings you snooping?" Klaus asked.

Stefan looked at Eira,"Well, I thought Eira would be with you, I wanted to make sure. For the other part, I can't say in front of him. He can't be compelled."

Eira didn't want to see Stefan. His presence just made her upset. She was confused and she felt lost. She didn't know if she could trust Stefan again and Eira didn't know why but she felt like she could always trust Klaus, another old feeling that still lingered inside her.

"You're full of mysteries, aren't you?" Klaus said to the hunter.

"I told you, I don't know anything," the hunter replied.

"Thankfully, I know plenty," Klaus stated and he gestured for all of them to leave the room.

Klaus shut the doors to the room when they all exited. Klaus turned around,"So, what's with the home invasion?"

"Damon said you knew something about this guy. He didn't die in the explosion so it could only lead back to you," Stefan explained.

"I was feeling benevolent," Klaus stated as he walked to Eira and stood next to her.

He slowly grabbed her hand and held it. Her face was somewhat downcast when she saw Stefan and he wanted to make her to feel better. He also just wanted to hold her hand.

Eira's heart fluttered at the simple action. She squeezed his hand back and held it. Holding his hand did make her feel better.

"You're never benevolent unless it comes to Eira. Who is this guy? What's The Five?" Stefan said.

"So many questions," Klaus stated.

"It's a good thing I have nothing to do today, except get answers out of you," Stefan sat down in a chair.

Rebekah sighed, "The brotherhood of the Five was a group of highly skilled vampire hunters. We crossed paths with them in the 12th century Italy."

"My siblings and I had followed the Normans as they conquered the South. Feeding, turning people as we went. But with the bloodshed came exposure," Klaus added on.

"So these hunters have been around for nine hundred years?" Stefan asked.

"Apparently. Though our friend in the other room is the first I've seen since then. Kind of makes you wonder what they've been up to all these years," Klaus answered.

"And you had a thing with one of them?" Stefan looked at Rebekah.

"Oh, she didn't just have a thing. She fell in love with him. He told her all his secrets. Isn't that right?" Klaus smirked at Rebekah.

"He did," Rebekah sighed. "Now how do you know that hunter is one of the Five? Where's his bloody tattoo?"

"Oh, the tattoos aren't visible on this lot like they were on the last," Klaus answered.

"Wait, what?" Eira was confused. "It's not invisible. I saw it."

Eira saw the tattoo because witches created The Five. Witches are servants Nature, making Eira able to see the tattoo because she is Mother Nature.

All eyes turned to her and she felt nervous. Klaus asked,"You see his tattoo?"

"Yes," Eira answered.

Klaus pulled her back to the room where the hunter was. He opened the doors and led her over to the hunter.

"Where is it?" Klaus asked.

"It's on his arm," Eira answered.

The hunter looked at her in curiosity. Klaus let go of her hand and he said,"You'll trace it."

Klaus left to get a marker so she could trace it. He came back and gave the it to her. She walked closer to the hunter and she reached up and started tracing the symbol on his hand.

It took awhile but she eventually traced all the tattoo on his arm. She put the cap back on the marker and she turned to the three waiting people.

"That's it," Eira said.

"I've seen the tattoo. That's not all of it," Klaus said.

"Well, that's all of the tattoo on him. I swear," Eira said, truthfully.

Klaus walked up to the hunter and grabbed him by his throat. The hunter started choking and Klaus asked,"Where is the rest of the tattoo?"

The hunter choked out,"It grows as I kill vampires."

Klaus let go of him,"There's our answer."

They all left the room where the hunter was and Stefan asked,"Why is this tattoo so important?"

"It's a map. It leads to a weapon," Klaus answered.

"What weapon?" Stefan questioned.

"Go ahead, Rebekah. Tell him. Tell him what the hunter told you the tattoo leads to. What is this great weapon that could bring about the end of the vampire species?" Klaus looked at Rebekah.

"A cure," Rebekah stated. "A cure for vampirism."

"No, there isn't. Why wouldn't you have searched for it, found it?" Stefan questioned Klaus in anger.

"Because when I killed the hunters and they drew their final breath, the marks disappeared from their body, the map was gone, the brotherhood of the Five extinct. For nine hundred years, there was not a whisper of another hunter, until our friend in there showed up in town," Klaus explained.

"Well, now we have the map, what do we do next?" Rebekah asked.

"Now, we need the tool to decipher it," Klaus said.

"The sword," Rebekah realized. "I buried it with him, the hunter. At the church, San Vittore in Brienno."

"Good, I'll get a plane ready and get the sword," Klaus said. "You two stay here and watch over the hunter until I return."

"No one must know about the cure, do you understand? Not Damon. Nobody. If this gets out, it could mean all our deaths. So, if you tell anyone, I'll erase each and every memory from the lot of you...," Klaus looked at Stefan.

"I understand," Stefan agreed.

Klaus left the room and Eira went after him. She didn't like being apart from him. Klaus walked up to his room and Eira followed. He was aware of her following.

He turned around looking at her and Eira spoke,"You're just going to leave?"

"Why? Are you hoping for a goodbye?" Klaus looked at her and he stared into her eyes again. His mind blurted out his desires.

"Come with me," Klaus put his hands on the side of her face. "Let me take you to Italy."

Eira was locked eyes with his. She was locked in with his stare. She couldn't say no to him. It was simply impossible.

"Okay," she breathed out and Klaus smiled.

Author's Note: Omg, I apologize for the train wreck that the last part of the chapter was. I'm just feeling so lazy. So it reflects on my writing.

Thank you guys for your feedback in that poll. It really helped me. Marcel and Katherine won.

I'm Stebekah trash though so I've decided to do something with them. It works well with my story and I think you're all gonna like it.

Now, Katherine won but I've decided to go a different route that I'm not revealing.

P. S. Happy Birthday to AJL2003
