AN: This is a chapter covering the time length between the episodes which is 2 weeks.
For two weeks, Eira spent her time with Klaus. He was trying to get his family back from Stefan but he let himself get distracted. He somewhat felt terrible for getting distracted but he couldn't help it. It was hard not to when she was around. Her presence always lingered in the back of his mind when she left and she became the forefront in his mind when she visited him again and again.
There time first spent together started when Klaus went to Eira early in the morning and he brought her to his mansion that was still being renovated. Eira lied to Damon, saying she was going to school but she skipped.
Klaus led Eira through the house that had many people scurrying about, trying to finish the inside of the house. Some of them were hybrids and there eyes flashed yellow when they saw her for the first time. It was the wolf side of them wanting to acknowledge Eira.
Klaus held her hand as he led her through the unfinished hallways. He showed her the many rooms, taking on her on a tour and then he brought her to a room with many shelves filled with books.
Eira took a step in front of Klaus and marveled at all the books. She spun in a circle, looking at all of them. A smile graced her face and Klaus was hypnotized.
"I love to read," Eira stated.
"Then I'm sure you'd get along quite well with Elijah," Klaus practically growled and rolled his eyes.
"I like you better," Eira stated as she let go of Klaus's hand and walked further into the room, not even knowing the effect her words had.
Klaus smiled at her words. He had the preconceived thought that everyone preferred Elijah, the noble one, over himself. He was glad to find someone who didn't.
After that day, Eira came over to his house after school everyday. She first started knocking at his door when she came but she came so frequently that she started to become comfortable with letting herself in and Klaus didn't mind.
It had been a couple days since they started spending all their time together. There was one room in the house he hadn't shown her. His art room.
Klaus showed it to her and Eira walked around the room and her eyes examined each piece of artwork and drawings carefully. Some artwork had shades of green grass, one an illuminate moon, one had water so tranquil it looked real. Each step Eira would take around the room, Klaus would follow.
Once she looked at most of them, she looked at Klaus with a smile,"Your an artist?"
"Yes, it's one of my passions," Klaus answered.
"There all wonderful," Eira complimented.
Eira looked at all the paintings around the room again and she walked over to the drawings on the table and Klaus followed. She looked through them before looking up at Klaus.
"Can you teach me?" Eira asked.
"Art is a talent. It takes awhile to be taught," Klaus answered, amused.
"Can you make an exception?" Eira pleaded with a smile and he melted.
"Just this once," Klaus answered.
Klaus had gotten a sketchbook and a pencil, and he sat down next to Eira on the couch in the art room. He gave her the pencil and she held it in her hands, awaiting his instruction.
Klaus turned the sketchbook to a clean page and he set it on her lap. Klaus had an arm resting on the back of the couch behind her and he sat very close to her, which made her breathing a little uneven.
"What do you want to draw?" Klaus questioned.
Eira pondered for a moment before grabbing at the necklace around her neck,"A rose."
Klaus smiled in amusement but he nevertheless started giving instructions,"You're going to draw a curved line down the middle of the page....,"
Klaus instructed her on what to do and when she would struggle, he would take a hold of her hand, putting his fingers a top hers and he would guide her hand. Her heart beat a little faster at that action.
Eira noticed how Klaus's stare turned so concentrated when he was drawing. The stare was void of any remnant of worries he could've had. He was relaxed, in his element.
Klaus had been been teaching her for awhile and Eira had rested her head on Klaus's shoulder at some point which Klaus at first tensed at but then relaxed. They went through many pages of the sketchbook, drawing things and it had become night. Eira had become tired and her eyes became droopy. Her hand let go of the pencil and Klaus looked at her to see her eyes had closed and he smiled.
Klaus took the pencil and the sketchbook and put it off to the side of the couch. Klaus got up from the couch, slowly as her head still rested against his shoulder. Once he was standing, he picked Eira up and held her bridal style. She immediately clutched onto his shirt.
He brought her to one of the guest bedrooms and he laid her down on the bed. He looked down at her and he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear that fallen out. Eira still had a hold of his shirt and her hands didn't seem to be letting go. He didn't want to wake her to get her to stop holding onto him so he pondered for a moment before he decided he would do what he wanted to do.
Klaus laid down beside her and Eira's sleeping form immediately snuggled up next to him which Klaus let out a light chuckle at. Eira had her head resting on the side of his chest near his shoulder. Klaus didn't have the heart to move her nor did he want to so he let her sleep like that.
When Eira woke up in the morning, she felt an arm snaked around her and she had her head resting against Klaus's chest. She had lifted her head up in alarm and Klaus laughed.
"Why are you here?" Eira asked.
"You wouldn't let go of me," Klaus answered. "What was I supposed to do?"
Eira shook her head but she laid it back down on Klaus's chest as she didn't want to move and he was warm. Klaus just ran his fingers through her white hair and Eira let him as she laid there for a few minutes until she was fully awake.
Eira had gotten in trouble with Damon because she stayed out all night without telling him. She didn't want to make it worse so she told him she had stayed with Caroline. But Eira had fallen asleep at Klaus's mansion a couple more times and Eira kept holding onto Klaus in her sleep so they both just became accustomed to it. Then they spent time together at the end of the two weeks.
Eira was in the library room of Klaus's mansion and she was sitting in a chair, reading a book. Klaus was telling the renovators what to do and how he wanted things to be.
Klaus came to check on her and leaned against the doorway of the room, not wanting to disturb her. She looked serene, peaceful and she would smile at something on the page. Eira felt like someone was watching her and she looked at him.
"What are you staring at?" Eira asked.
Klaus smirked,"I'm just marveling at how beautiful you are."
Eira blushed a deep red and Klaus's smirk widened. He walked over to her and held out his hand to her.
"You've been inside all day," Klaus started. "I think it's time you got out of this room."
Eira put the book on the side table and grabbed Klaus's hand. He pulled her up to her feet and she stumbled towards Klaus. She put her hands on his chest to steady herself.
"My apologies, love, I pulled you up too fast," he wore a devilish smirk.
There was barely any room between them Eira's heart beat faster. The feeling of butterflies started up in the pit of her stomach. She gulped and she removed her hands from Klaus's chest.
Klaus frowned and then she spoke,"You said you were getting me out of this room."
Klaus took her hand and he led her outside to back of the property. Eira breathed in the fresh air as she walked beside Klaus. Flowers would sprout up at each step she took and Klaus was amazed.
Eira walked in front of Klaus and she turned to him with a smile,"Why don't we play a game? You try to catch me."
"I can always catch you. Have you forgotten I have supernatural speed?," Klaus answered.
Eira shook her finger,"No using supernatural abilities. That's cheating."
Klaus rolled his eyes at her ridiculous request but he saw her face awaiting an answer.
"You're actually serious?" Klaus questioned.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Eira pleaded. "Haven't you ever had fun?"
Klaus rolled his eyes and relented,"Fine. I'll play your little game."
"You have to wait ten seconds," Eira said looking at him intently and Klaus nodded.
Eira smiled and ran off while he waited for ten seconds. He shook his head at himself for letting her convince him to do this but he couldn't resist her pleading face.
After the ten seconds were up, Klaus looked in the direction she ran and he picked up the scent of her blood and he could hear her heart beating. Her steps thundering through the woods. He pinpointed her location and he vamp sped to where she was at.
Klaus wrapped his arms around her waist from behind once he caught her and he whispered in ear,"I don't play by the rules, love."
Eira's legs wobbled a bit as she realized Klaus's arms were wrapped around her. She turned around in his arms and she smiled up at him,"You're still impossible."
"Yet you still deal with me," Klaus smirked.
"I'll happily deal with you for eternity," Eira promised.
Klaus was taken aback,"You would promise eternity to me?"
"I'll care about you for eternity. No matter what you do," Eira said and Klaus smiled.
Author's Note: Klaus is so whipped, like omg. I know Eira just made a big promise but this is Eira, she would totally do that.
By the way, I'm not an artist so whatever I said about the art part, I got it off the internet.
