When she got home the night of the dance, Damon had hugged Eira tightly. He was glad she was alright.

It had been seven days without Klaus. Seven long days. Seven miserable days. Seven torturous days. Seven no-Klaus days and she hated it. Of course, everyone else loved it but Eira was in a mood as the weather around Mystic Falls was dreary and cloudy.

Eira had found out that Elena daggered Rebekah and she was mad. Rebekah didn't do anything to any of them, she didn't deserve that. Eira had called Klaus many times but he didn't answer so she stopped calling.

Eira was sad. A terrible, blinding sadness had taken a hold of her heart and she didn't know how to get out of it. She got lectured over the course of the seven days about how whatever feelings she had for Klaus were wrong. That lecture was made by Caroline.

"I saw you at the dance together and Elena told us about your phone calls to Klaus," Caroline said as they were cleaning up the homecoming dance that was supposed to be at the high school.

"Does everyone know about that?" Eira asked.

"Yes, but that's beside the point," Caroline started. "Why are you talking to the enemy?"

"He's not my enemy, Caroline," Eira disagreed.

Caroline had a look of realization on her face,"Oh my god. You like him."

"Yeah, I like him. He's nice, what's wrong with that?" Eira stated.

"No, I mean you like, like him. As in you have romantic feelings for him," Caroline clarified.

"What? No," Eira denied, not even sure what she felt.

That conversation was on the first day after the homecoming dance. Eira had time to think after that and she still didn't know what she felt. She had never liked anybody like she did with Klaus. It was easy and Eira walked into caring about him, blindingly. Eira just didn't know how much she cared for him as she had never experienced 'romantic feelings' as Caroline described. Everything was new to her.

Stefan was gone. Eira didn't know where he went and she missed him as well. Eira called him many times and she kept calling him but there was no answer, ever. If there was anyone Eira needed the most, it would be her twin brother. Damon was angry at him but Eira couldn't be, not for stopping Damon from killing Klaus. Eira was glad that Stefan stopped it because she doesn't know how she would've dealt with Klaus's death.

It was now the eighth day and the weather of Mystic Falls was still cloudy and dreary, it drizzled rain in some spots. Damon went to The Grill while Eira stayed at home. She didn't feel like going anywhere unless Caroline demanded her to or she went to school but it was a Sunday.

There was a knock on the door of the Salvatore house and Eira went to answer the door. She opened the door and her eyes widened at who she saw. Her heart fluttered and the pit of her stomach felt like their were somersaults.

It was Klaus.

Eira jumped at him and wrapped her arms around his torso, resting her head against his chest. A smile grew on her face and the weather in Mystic Falls became sunny and there were only a few clouds. Klaus was surprised by her hug but he rested his chin atop her head and wrapped his arms around her.

"I thought you left and you were gone. You scared me," Eira looked up at him as she pulled away, which Klaus wished she didn't so he could've held her a little longer.

"That wasn't my intention," Klaus rested a hand against her cheek.

"What kept you away?" Eira asked.

Klaus sighed and looked at the open entry into the house behind her. He smirked,"Are you going to invite me in?"

"Oh right. Yes, you can come in," Eira invited.

Klaus walked around Eira, grabbing her hand and pulling her along with him as he entered the Salvatore house. He let go of her hand and he closed the door behind them.

Eira was looking at him when he turned around and she asked again,"What kept you away?"

Klaus sighed,"I have business with your brother. He stole from me."

"Which one?" Eira questioned.

"Stefan," Klaus frowned.

"What did he do?" Eira asked.

"My family, he stole them from me," Klaus explained.

Eira grabbed Klaus's hand and she squeezed it,"I would help you but I don't where Stefan is nor would he tell me. He knows I care about you."

"And how do you care about me?" Klaus looked at their entwined hands.

"I-I.... I just care about you," Eira tried explaining.

Klaus flickered his eyes to hers and stared at her for a moment before slowly nodding, seeming to accept the answer. Eira's heart beat faster at his stare. She looked away before looking back.

"Rebekah's here. She was daggered by Elena," Eira revealed.

Eira took Klaus's hand and led him to the cellar in the basement where Rebekah was placed. Once she opened the cellar door and revealed Rebekah to him, his eyes glistened with sadness.

"My poor sister. I can't turn my back on her for a moment," Klaus stated.

"I'm sorry," Eira said sincerely.

Klaus looked at her,"You don't have anything to be sorry for, love."

Klaus crouched down and pulled the dagger out of Rebekah while Eira spoke up,"She found out the truth about Esther. She wanted you dead."

Klaus turned his head slightly while crouching, listening to her before turning his head back to Rebekah. His eyes glistened with tears but he blinked them away.

Klaus stood up and he looked down at his hand when Eira entwined her hand with his. Her touch was like a warmth that seeped into his cold, undead heart. She squeezed his hand in comfort and she spoke,"She's still your sister. She still loves you."

Klaus kept a hold of her hand, never wanting to let go. He looked at her eyes, her green eyes that he loved staring at and at the moment, he soaked up her words, too entranced with her presence.

Klaus sighed and he let go of her hand,"Where is Damon? I need him to find Stefan."

"He went to The Grill," Eira answered.

Klaus nodded and looked into her eyes,"You don't need to be scared that I'll leave this town. I wouldn't leave you."

Then he disappeared from her sight along with Rebekah, leaving her with a smile on her face.

Klaus had taken Rebekah to the home he was building and he put the dagger back in her heart, feeling sorry. He went to The Grill where Damon and Elena were and he made his presence known.

Eira was in her room listening to music when Damon came home and so she didn't hear him. Damon was fixing himself a drink and he let out a chuckle at Eira's music choice, she was listening to Bon Jovi.

"She's so Stefan-influenced," Damon thought out loud.

"Well, they are twins," Klaus was leaning against the bannister behind Damon.

Damon turned around surprised as Klaus continued,"I think it's about time we had a drink, don't you?"

"She invited you in, of course she did," Damon muttered to himself while Klaus smirked.

Damon answered,"I'd say we're overdue."

"Well, you've been so busy with all your plotting and scheming," Klaus commented.

"You know me. Never miss a chance to plan an epic failure," Damon responded.

"Don't be so hard on yourself. Who could have guessed your own brother would betray you?" Klaus stated.

"Well, I did have a front row seat when your sister lied to you," Damon said back.

"Yeah, well she's fickle that one," Klaus frowned before smirking. "Eira already returned her to me."

Damon glared,"Why do you have such an obsession with my sister? There's more than a million other girls in the world, I'm sure you can pick one."

"I could but why would I do that when your sister has such a certain... taste," Klaus goaded and Damon clenched the glass in his hands and it cracked.

"Drink?" Damon questioned in anger.

Damon poured alcohol into two glasses and gave one to Klaus. Klaus took it and held his glass up,"Cheers, mate."

"Down the hatch," Damon raised his glass and they drank.

"You know, we've actually got a lot in common, you and I," Klaus stated.

"Really? Well, yeah. Maybe we can bond over our mutual loathing of my brother. Why are you so mad at him? He stole something?" Damon questioned.

"My family, the Originals. I had them daggered, boxed-up awaiting the day when I saw fit to wake them. And he went in and pinched the bloody lot," Klaus explained.

"Of course he did. Such a buzzkill, my baby bro. Well, I'd love to find him. Just the trouble is, I sure as hell don't work for you," Damon glared.

"You know, your drink stinks of vervain- so I can't compel you. There would be no point in killing you because your actually the one with the most help of getting me what I need. And yet it would seem a demonstration is in order. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough when I told you to find Stefan. Well, it seems you people respond best to displays of violence. Why don't you take this as an example of my reach," Klaus said and then he pulled out his phone and called someone.

"There he is! So, that thing I told you to do...why don't you go ahead and get on with it?" Klaus said to the person on the phone.

Klaus then left the Salvatore house, leaving Damon to find out what violent thing Klaus had done which was having Jeremy run over by a car but Alaric got hit instead.

Bonnie had told Elena where to find Stefan which was at the old witch house. Elena and Damon went there so they could get Stefan to hand the coffins back over to Klaus to keep him from doing anything violent again. In the end, Damon found out Stefan stopped him from killing Klaus to save him and Damon teamed up with Stefan to take down Klaus. They both agreed to keep Eira out of it because she would obviously tell Klaus everything. Damon then had to go help Elena and he had kissed her, which made him so happy.

Damon came home and he saw Eira sitting on the couch in the living room and he sat next to her. Damon sighed,"There's something you should know."

"Stefan saved Klaus to save me," Damon continued.

"You talked to him? Where is he?" Eira started questioning.

"See, that's the thing," Damon started. "I can't tell you. You would just run and tell Klaus and we can't have that."

Eira was silent for a moment before she spoke,"But he's okay?"

Damon smiled at the care she always had for Stefan, no matter what. Eira used the same amount of care for Klaus, it was just a different kind of caring.

"He will be."
