Eira was up early in the morning on a mission to find Stefan even if she had to do it by herself. She called Sheriff Forbes and got her to track the number that had called her last night. It came from Tennessee which was where the new lead pointed Stefan to be.

Eira went to Damon to try to get his help. She came into his room and he was taking down all the papers on the map that he used to track Stefan.

"How can you just give up on him?" Eira questioned.

"We went over this, Eira. The Stefan we know is gone," Damon answered.

"He called me," Eira stated.

"What?" Damon questioned in disbelief.

"Stefan called me last night," Eira stated. "He didn't say anything, but it was him. I asked Sheriff Forbes if she would trace the call's origin. It came from Tennessee."

"Where he's binge drinking on the country folk. We went through this, Eira. Stefan's gone. I don't mean geographically," Damon explained. Damon takes the documents he used to find Stefan and threw them into the unlit fireplace.

"He wouldn't call if he completely lost himself," Eira said and Damon lit a match and threw it into the fireplace, setting the documents on fire, indicating that he was done looking for Stefan. Eira walked out of his room, determined to find Stefan.

Eira went to the Gilbert household. She rode the motorcycle Stefan had and it made her sad. He was the one that taught her how to drive it, the only thing she could drive well. Eira knocked on the door and Jenna opened it.

"Eira," Jenna smiled. "Come in. How are you?"

Eira stepped inside and Jenna closed the door,"I'm good. Is Alaric here? Can I talk to him?"

"Yeah, he's in the kitchen," Jenna said and Eira walked to the kitchen with Jenna.

Alaric saw her enter and he shook his head,"Oh god, this can't be good."

"I need you to tell me what you know about Stefan and Tennessee," Eira stated. "You're Damon's best friend. Whatever he knows, you know."

"Ask Damon," Alaric denied his help.

"Damon won't help," Eira answered.

"For good reason. Because it's not safe for you. Stefan's off the rails," Alaric replied.

"But he still has his humanity which means he can be saved," Eira started. "He would never give up on me. I'm not gonna give up on him. Tell me what you know, Ric. Please."

"I would just tell the her, Ric. She's clearly not gonna give up," Jenna stated.

Alaric sighed,"They've been tracking werewolves, he and Klaus. All over the eastern seaboard. We thought we had 'em outside of Memphis..."

Alaric told Eira what he knew and they went to The Grill so Eira could talk to Tyler and see if he knew anything about where the werewolves would be in Tennessee. Alaric was at the bar while Eira was sitting down at a table with Tyler.

"A lot of us like to keep to ourselves for the full moon, chain ourselves up. But there are some werewolves that like to gather in places were they don't have to do that, where they can enjoy it," Tyler explained.

"What kind of places?" Eira questioned.

"Mountains, state parks, deserts, that kind of stuff," Tyler answered.

"What about Tennessee?" Eira questioned.

"Yeah. Here. Give me your phone. I'll try to pull up a map," Tyler stated.

Eira handed him her phone,"Thank you for helping me."

"Well, if I had a sibling, I would want to find them, too," Tyler said.

Tyler pulled up the place on a map and handed her phone back,"That's your best bet."

Eira took the phone and looked at the map. She looked at him and got up from the table,"Thank you again, Tyler."

"Your welcome," Tyler smiled.

Eira walked away from him and to Alaric at the bar. She sat down next to him and he looked at her,"Did you get anything?"

"Yes but we're going to have to hike through the Smoky Mountains," Eira replied.

"You wanna hunt down a pack of werewolves on a full moon?" Alaric questioned like she was crazy.

"We'll leave before the moon is full. If you won't come, I'll just go by myself. Please, Ric," Eira pleaded with him.

"Fine," Alaric sighed. "Damon would kill me if I let anything happen to you."

Alaric had driven Eira to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee where Klaus and Stefan would be. They were hiking through the woods, working their way to where Stefan and Klaus were. There was a river next to them as they made their trek.

"In a couple hours, the full moon's gonna rise just above that ridge. If Tyler's right, that's where the pack'll be," Alaric explained.

"How do you know that?" Eira asked.

"I was a Boy Scout," Alaric groaned in embarrassment. "Not that you would know what that means and don't ask."

"Okay, I won't," Eira stated.

Alaric stopped and she stopped behind him. He took off his backpack he put it on the ground, kneeling down next to it. He opened it to reveal a crossbow, wooden stakes and other vampire hunting weapons.

"You brought a lot," Eira stated.

"Well, we aren't exactly bird-watching. Here. Put that in your bag," Alaric said handing her a grenade.

"A vervain grenade?" Eira asked.

"Wolfsbane," Alaric answered.

Eira took off her bag and put the wolfsbane grenade on the side where a water bottle would go. She set her bag down and looked at Alaric.

"I feel bad that I didn't get you anything," Eira said.

"That's okay," Alaric lifted his hand in the air. "I got my ring."

Eira nodded, glad that Alaric would be okay if something happened to him. All of the sudden, Eira got thrown threw the air and pushed into the water next to them. Eira swam up to the surface, soaking wet and she looked up to where Alaric was to see Damon up there with him.

"Damon! How are here?" Eira questioned.

"Thanks for the tip, brother," Damon said looking back at Alaric.

Eira looked at Alaric and he said,"I wasn't gonna take you to mountain range full of werewolves on a full moon without backup."

"Get out of the water, Eira," Damon demanded.

"You're going to make me go home if I do," Eira said.

"Yes, because I'm not an idiot like you," Damon stated.

"Right now, you're both acting like idiots," Alaric inputted.

"I'm not going to give up on him, Damon. You know that. I won't stop looking for him until I find him. I promise we'll leave before the full moon. Just, please.... please let me find Stefan," Eira pleaded with him.

Damon groaned,"You're so stubborn. Fine, but we're leaving before the moon is full, got it?"

"Yes, okay," Eira replied happily and she got out of the water.

They had been walking for awhile and odd things started to happen. At first it started with a rabbit and it hopped next to Eira. Then a squirrel and a porcupine came out of the woodworks and walked next to Eira. A fox and a deer came next, falling in step next to Eira and she petted the deer.

"What is this, attack of the forest animals?" Damon questioned, bewildered.

"This is the strangest thing I've ever seen," Alaric muttered to himself.

"This is amazing," Eira smiled and continued to pet the deer as she walked.

They kept waking and the forest animals eventually left but once or twice, one animal would come out and walk beside Eira before running off. Eira thought it was the most amazing thing ever.

"We got about a mile left," Alaric stated.

"The sun's about to set," Damon stated.

"I know," Eira breathed out.

"I'm just saying," Damon replied.

"The moon doesn't reach its apex for awhile. We have time," Eira explained.

They heard twigs snap and a man stumbled into their view. He had blood on him and Alaric held up his crossbow.

"Stay where you are," Alaric stated.

The man sniffed the air and he looked at Damon,"Vampire."

The man used hybrid speed to lunge at Damon but Damon fought with with him. The man who was now a hybrid had Damon pinned against a tree and Damon was trying to hold him off from biting him. Alaric fired his crossbow but the arrow didn't do anything to the werewolf.

Eira willed for the werewolf to be stopped and vines erupted out of the ground and snuck around the werewolf's neck, choking him until he fell unconscious. The vines crawled back into the ground and they all breathed a sigh of relief.

They tied up the werewolf to a tree with a whole bunch of rope. Eira was pouring vervain water on some of the ropes.

"These ropes aren't gonna hold him much longer. What else do we have?" Damon asked.

"Ric, here. Take these," Eira stated and Damon grabbed the rope but he pulled his hand away immediately as he was burned.

"Aah! Ow!" Damon exclaimed.

"I said Ric," Eira said.

Alaric took the ropes and tied them around the hybrid,"All right, that's the last of the vervain. We don't have enough stuff to hold him. I don't think we're gonna make that Ridge before the full moon."

"We don't have to if we can get him to talk," Eira said and walked towards the hybrid.

Eira reached her hand out towards him but before she could touch him, he gasped awake. Eira retracted her hand quickly in response. His bones started breaking and he was starting to turn into a werewolf.

"Is he turning?" Damon questioned.

"But it's daylight. That can't be possible," Eira answered.

"Tell him that," Alaric said.

Damon moved closer to the hybrid and holds his shoulders to keep him from breaking free of the ropes. The hybrid screams and snarls as he turns.

"You know, those ropes aren't gonna hold the wolf," Alaric stated.

"Damon, we've got to get out of here. We gotta get out of these mountains now! Damon, now!" Eira shouted for Damon so they could leave.

Damon complied and they all ran away from the turning hybrid and ran back the way they came. They were all running when all of the sudden the turned hybrid that was now a wolf jumped in front of Eira and she halted in her tracks.

The wolf snarled at her and Damon whispered,"Tell it to go away and chase something else."

"I can't. It's rabid," Eira answered back in a whisper.

Damon sighed and said,"Here, doggie, doggie."

Damon vamp sped away and the wolf ran after him. Alaric gestured with his hand to keep going,"Come on. Let's keep moving."

"We can't leave Damon," Eira replied.

"He can handle himself. Let's move," Alaric stated and Eira knew that her blood could heal Damon if he got bit by the werewolf. Eira hesitated but she ran off with Alaric.

Alaric and Eira made it back to the car. Eira was in the passenger seat waiting and she was worrying. "Stefan's out there and so is Damon now. And we're just sitting in the car?"

"Your brothers will be fine," Alaric answered. "They can handle themselves. You're still human, Eira. You can't help them all the time."

Eira sighed and waited for Damon to show up. She heard someone walking up to car and she looked out the window. It was Damon. She jumped out of the car and ran up to him.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Eira questioned in worry.

"I'm fine, bite-free. Get back in the car, please," Damon stated.

"I'm just trying to make sure you're alright," Eira replied.

"Fine. Now I'll give you ten seconds to get back in the car," Damon turned her around and marched her to the car. "Hey, Ric, did you happen to see where I parked my car?"

Damon placed her back in the passenger seat and he got in the back. Eira looked out the window of the car and she felt like someone was watching her. She looked around her but found no one there. She looked back down in disappointment.

Eira was home and she had showered and gotten into her sleep wear. She walked out of her closet and Damon was sitting on her bed.

"I was wrong," Damon started. "I thought Stefan was gone, but I was wrong."

"You saw him? How is he?" Eira questioned with wide eyes.

"He's not okay, Eira. He's an insufferable martyr that needs his ass kicked...but he can be saved," Damon explained.

"What changed your mind?" Eira asked.

"I changed my mind because even in his darkest place, my brother still can't let me die. So I figure I owe him the same in return. We'll bring him back, Eira," Damon stood up.

Eira nodded her head and he was about to leave the room,"You know, what made you change your mind? You were so hellbent on staying on that mountain, then you just gave up."

"You're my brother, too, Day. I was worried about you," Eira stated and he smiled.

"Goodnight Eira," and he left her room.
