The Salvatore's got back to their house after the funeral was over. Eira got out of her funeral attire and into clothes that were more comfortable. She went downstairs and laid on the couch, continuing to read Call of the Wild by Jack London.

     She read the book for awhile before she got tired of being indoors and wanted to go outside. Eira took her book and went outside onto the back porch. It was nighttime and it was dark outside but Eira turned the lights on in the back porch.

Eira sat on the small steps of stairs that led to the back yard. She continued reading her book until she felt like she was being watched. Eira slowly lifted her eyes from her book and she looked in front of her.

Eira gasped at what she saw. She was so startled that she dropped the book she was holding and it cluttered to the floor. Eira was frozen as she stared at eyes that were yellow with amber and gold swirls.

Those eyes belonged to a wolf. A werewolf.

Klaus had been in his wolf form since he broke the curse and the wolf side of him felt like he was being called to some sort beacon. That beacon was her.

Eira was staring at a huge, black wolf that had grey flecks of fur. The wolf stood only a couple feet in front of her. Eira logically came to the conclusion that this could only be Klaus in wolf form.

The wolf took a step forward and Eira flinched. The wolf stopped but then again took a step forward, only slower. The wolf walked until he was right in front of Eira and he stopped.

The wolf leaned down and opened its mouth, grabbing the book with its teeth then bringing it back up to Eira. The wolf nudged his head towards her, indicating she should take the book.

Eira reached out and grabbed the book. She held the book to her chest and she finally worked up the courage to do something.

Eira kept her eyes locked with the wolf's and she started to reach her hand out towards the wolf. The wolf snarled at her sudden action but she called out his name,"Klaus."

He stopped snarling and he calmed down. That was enough confirmation to know it really was Klaus. She started reaching her hand out again and he let her.

Eira's hand came in contact with his fur on his head and she smiled. She ran her fingers through his fur and the wolf growled. She stopped but he nudged her hand.

She continued running her fingers through his fur and the wolf sat down on his hind legs, feeling calmed by her touch. The wolf eventually laid down and rested his head on her lap.

She just kept petting the wolf. The wolf seemed to relax until a twig snapped in the forest behind the back yard. The wolf turned its head and growled at the intruder that was hidden in the darkness.

The wolf stood up and she said,"Go."

The wolf looked at her and it seemed to search her eyes before using werewolf speed and he was gone from her view. Eira looked at the book she was reading, Call of the Wild, she thought it was ironic since it seemed like she was calling the wild to her.

     Eira woke up in the morning and she showered and got dressed. She was meeting Caroline in the Town Square because Gone with the Wind, the movie, was playing and Caroline thought that was a good way to raise every bodies spirits.

    Eira got downstairs and she couldn't find Stefan anywhere but she found Damon. She walked up to him and said,"Can you take me to the Town Square? I have to meet Caroline."

    "Fine," he sighed out, annoyed that he had to take her.

    Damon drove her there and dropped her off. Eira found Jeremy and Elena along with Caroline just showing up.

    "Hey! There you guys are," Caroline greeted, joyfully. "Who's hungry?"

   "Are we really doing this?" Jeremy asked.

    "Yes, we are really doing this. We are going to take a page from Scarlett. We made it through the war," Caroline said and kneeled down on the blanket that covered the grass.

    "I know you guys went through hell, and my mom knows I am a vampire, so basically it's like Atlanta has burned. And yet, in spite of everything, we persevere," Caroline continued and Eira smiled at Caroline's hopefulness.

    "All right," Jeremy said and he sat down with them.

    "What are we eating?" Jeremy asked.

    "Something good," Caroline answered.

    Caroline, Eira, Jeremy, and Elena were eating and they were all acting like normal people for the day. That was until Stefan showed up.

    Stefan walked over to them and he looked at Eira,"Hey."

    "Hey, where were you this morning?" Eira questioned.

    "That's what I need to talk to you about," Stefan said. "Will you come with me for a moment."

    Eira frowned but got up and followed Stefan. "What's wrong?"

    "I'm gonna go see Klaus," Stefan breathed out.

    "Stefan, no, he's gonna kill you," Eira worried.

    "That's a chance I'm willing to take," Stefan started. "I'm gonna offer to do whatever he wants so he doesn't take you with him."

    "So this a goodbye?" Eira's eyes gathered with tears. "You're telling me goodbye?"

   "For now," Stefan said.

    A tear traveled down Eira's face and Stefan wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Eira immediately hugged him back, holding onto him for dear life. Stefan pulled away from her and then he left her standing there.

     Elena walked over to her after Stefan left and asked,"What happened?"

    "Stefan's giving himself over to Klaus," Eira explained and Elena's eyes widened.

     "I'm gonna call Damon," Eira continued.

      Elena nodded and Eira called him, waiting for him to pick up.

    Damon answered the phone and said,"It is really not a good time to be calling me right now."

   "What? Why?" Eira questioned.

    "I'll explain it when I get to you," Damon answered. "And have blondie with you."

    Damon hung up and she looked at Elena,"Damon's in trouble."

   "Isn't he always?" Elena answered and Eira slightly smiled.

    Eira walked back over to Jeremy and Caroline along with Bonnie who just got there. "We have a problem, guys."

    Eira explained to all of them that Damon had some sort of bad news to tell all of us. News that involved Caroline, somehow. They were all waiting around for Damon and they finally spotted him.

    The first thing he said was to Caroline,"Your mom tried to kill me."

    "What?" Caroline questioned, shocked.

     ___________

    They had moved their group to The Grill since everyone was outside watching the movie. They were discussing Caroline's mom.

   "How did she find out about me?" Damon questioned.

    "From Matt," she explained. "I told him but I compelled him. He had vervain."

      Liz had been told someone spotted Damon going into the Mystic Grill and so she went there. Liz thought that Eira was a vampire because she was Damon's sibling.

    So, Liz went into the Mystic Grill and aimed her gun at Eira. Damon saw Liz and he vamp sped Eira out of the way as soon as Liz pulled the trigger.

    The bullet fired into the person standing behind Eira which was Jeremy. He was shot in the chest and everybody ran to him. Damon tried feeding him his blood but it was no use.

    Elena and Bonnie were crying as Bonnie stated,"I know what I need to do."

    Bonnie looked at Damon,"I need you to grab him. T-take him with us."

   Damon picked Jeremy up and Liz protested,"No, no, no, no. You can't move him. This is a crime scene."

   "Mom, you let them go," Caroline demanded of her mother and she relented.

     Damon took Eira, Bonnie, Elena and Jeremy's body to the old witch house. Damon set Jeremy's body down in the old witch house.

"Is this even possible?" Damon asked.

"There's a spell for it if they'll give me the power to use it," Bonnie explained.

Elena just had silent tears streaking down her face as she looked at Jeremy's dead body. Bonnie started the spell, speaking in Latin, and the candles lit on fire. Eira could feel all the witch spirits again, closing around her.

"No. They're angry at me for coming back here. They don't wanna help," Bonnie said.

"You don't need their help," Eira explained. "Channel me."

Eira held out her hand to Bonnie so she could channel from Eira. Bonnie grabbed her hand and started the spell again. Eira felt a pull, a strain on herself as Bonnie channeled from her. The candles burned brighter and their flames grew higher. Bonnie finished the spell and then everything stopped and the candles went out.

Jeremy didn't wake up causing Elena and Bonnie to start sobbing. But, after a minute he gasped awake and they let out relieved breaths. Eira felt tired and weak from the spell Bonnie did. She got up and she stumbled a bit before steadying herself.

Elena and Bonnie looked at Eira,"Thank you."

Eira just smiled and nodded, too tired to even speak. Damon took all of them home and when Eira and Damon walked to the front porch of their house, they saw Katherine waiting for them.

"Finally, I couldn't get in without an invitation," Katherine said.

Damon gave her a look but Eira ignored it,"You can come in, Kat."

They all walked through the entrance of the door and Damon asked Katherine,"So, Klaus released you?"

"That's why I'm here," Katherine said and gave Eira a sorrowful look. "Klaus accepted the deal from Stefan. You're free, Eira."

Eira felt like her heart plummeted in her chest, "But Stefan isn't."

Eira started to head for the door so she could go and find Stefan but Damon grabbed her. "You are not going and getting yourself into being taken by Klaus."

Eira struggled to get out of Damon's vice-like grip. Damon held onto her as she kept struggling. "Let go of me, Damon. I need to get Stefan."

Damon didn't budge and held onto her. Eira started sobbing and tears fell down her cheeks. She stopped struggling and her voice broke as she spoke, "I need Stefan. I need my twin."

"I know. I know," Damon said, holding her as she cried.

Author's Note: So this was a depressing chapter. Lots of freaking tears. But, yes, I can get onto season 3 now and Eira can now be a central focus.
