Eira's eyelids felt heavy as she tried to open them. She finally got her eyes to open and she fluttered her eyes for a couple seconds to get her eyes to focus on her surroundings. She was in her bed and the sunlight was shining through the window.

She struggled to remember what happened before everything came rushing back to her. She winced as she remembered she was shot. She laid a hand on her stomach and she found it was healed completely. She sighed in relief.

Eira got out of her bed and went into her bathroom. She took a shower and when she stepped out, wrapping a towel around herself, she wiped the steam off the mirror so she could see. Her eyes had dark circles under them. She looked worn out and she was.

Eira sighed and grabbed her brush and detangled her wet white hair. After that, she left her bathroom and went into her closet and got dressed into something comfortable. Eira changed her bedsheets because they had dried blood on them.

Eira went downstairs and into the kitchen where she was about to make breakfast but Damon walked in. He looked at her with a caring look.

"Are you okay?" Damon worried.

"I'm fine. I'm just tired," Eira answered.

"Hey, no," Damon started. "After what you just went through, you don't have to make breakfast for yourself."

"Uh, okay," Eira agreed.

Damon was cooking his special pancakes, the only thing he knew how to cook. While he was cooking them, Eira asked,"So what happened to the werewolves? And where is Stefan?"

"The werewolves are gone. Tyler left and Jules disappeared. And Stefan is still with Elena, making sure she's safe," Damon answered.

Damon finished cooking the pancakes and put them on a plate in front of her,"Bon Appetite."

The pancakes had a smiley face on them and Eira smiled. "You're gonna have to teach me how to make these one day."

Damon hummed,"Of course."

Eira ate the pancakes and Damon patiently waited for her to finish. "Why are you waiting on me?"

"Because I'm not going to leave you here alone," Damon started. "Not after yesterday."

Eira finished eating and put her dirty dishes in the sink. Then she turned to Damon and said,"Okay, we can go now."

Damon left the kitchen and Eira followed. Rose joined them and she softly smiled at Eira. She thought Eira should be resting with how tired she looked.

Damon took Rose and Eira to The Grill and they all sat down at a table. Damon and Rose were on one side while Eira was on the other. Alaric soon joined them and sat next to Eira.

He told them how he was with Jenna and Elijah this morning as they went through and looked at certain historical areas of Mystic Falls.

"Other than your lecture on the history of Mystic Falls, did you get anything out of Elijah?" Damon questioned.

"No, it was boring. Of course, Jenna thinks he's charming," Alaric muttered.

"He is charming, I think," Eira smiled.

"What? No, you don't," Damon argued with Eira. Rose and Alaric smiled at the protective side Damon was showing towards Eira.

"Fine. He's not," Eira huffed.

"Good," Damon said then redirected his attention back to Alaric. "You sounded jealous."

"I'm not....," Alaric started to protest but sighed. "Okay, I'm jealous."

"I just need the right opportunity," Damon muttered, talking about killing Elijah with the dagger. Elijah and Jenna enter The Grill and Damon sees them.

"Ah, there's Jenna with her new boyfriend," Damon teased Ric and he waved at Jenna and Elijah. "Hi."

Jenna and Elijah walk over to them and Jenna greets,"Hey, guys."

Jenna looked at Eira and saw the dark circles under eyes. "Eira, sweetheart, are you alright?"

"Oh, yeah, I, um, couldn't sleep last night," Eira answered awkwardly.

Elijah gave her look of pity. She looked absolutely exhausted. "Well, make sure you get some sleep tonight," Jenna said.

"I will," Eira smiled.

Jenna looked at Rose and didn't recognize her,"I'm Jenna. We haven't met."

"Rose," she greeted Jenna.

"So I hear you two had quite a meeting of historical minds today," Damon stated.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that," Jenna agreed.

"Well, as much as I'd like to continue this, I've got papers to grade," Alaric put money on the table and gets up.

"No, you know what? We should continue this. Let's have a dinner party," Damon started. "I'll be happy to host. Say tonight. Maybe?"

"It's good for me. Jenna?" Rose asked.

"I don't know if tonight works...," Alaric trailed off.

"Yeah, I'm free," Jenna said and Alaric gave her a look.

They all looked at Elijah and he gave his response,"It'd be a pleasure."

"Great," Damon smirked.

Damon had Rose take Eira home as he went to go get answers from Katherine about the dagger that could kill Elijah. He wanted to know if it really worked. After awhile, Damon came home and soon after that people started showing up for the dinner party.

Jenna, Rose, and Eira were setting up the table. Eira was curious and she decided to ask,"So what's going on with you and Alaric? Are you two fighting?"

"I don't know. I really like him. It's more than like and I want it to work, but I can't help but feel that he's hiding something from me. And then I've got John whispering things in my ear about him," Jenna answered.

"Like what?" Rose questioned and Eira gritted her teeth at John trying to tell Jenna.

"Things I don't want to believe. Things I don't believe, not if they're coming from John's mouth," Jenna stated.

"You shouldn't trust, John. Just trust yourself, your instincts. And if Alaric is hiding something from you, it's for a good reason," Eira said.

They set the table and then Jenna was trying to open the wine bottle and she couldn't get it open. Rose couldn't reveal her super vampire strength so she went to fetch Alaric.

"Hey, Jenna needs help with the wine," Rose called to Alaric who was talking with Damon.

Alaric leaves to go help Jenna and Damon made sure he left before taking the dagger out and dipping it in the white oak ash. Damon places the dagger behind the glasses and the alcohol, hiding it from view.

"Are you sure you don't want to tell him?" Rose questioned. "Or what about Eira?"

"No. Both of them would just try to stop me," Damon stated.

"Fine," Rose breathed out.

The doorbell rang and Eira went to answer it with Jenna following. John was at the door and he just walked right in.

"Who invited him?" Jenna questioned.

Damon showed up,"John. Surprise. Leave."

"When Jenna told me she was coming to a dinner party for Elijah, I decided I couldn't miss out on all the fun and games," John explained.

Alaric walks towards the door and Damon and John look at him,"There are not going to be any games tonight, John. It's just a friendly dinner party."

John looks back at Damon and he held his hands in surrender,"What he said."

Elijah showed up and he greeted everybody. He had warned Damon beforehand about doing anything out of term at this dinner party. They were all sitting down and eating.

Jenna spoke,"I hate to break it to you, Damon, but according to Elijah, your family is so not a founder of this town."

"Hmm. Do tell," Damon said.

"Well, as I mentioned to Jenna earlier, a faction of settlers migrated from Salem after the witch trials in the 1690s. Over the next hundred years they developed this community where they could feel safe from persecution," Elijah explained.

Jenna hummed,"Because they were witches."

"Well, the lore says that there was this wave of anti-witch hysteria. It broke out in the neighboring settlement, so these witches were rounded up. They were tied to stakes in a field together and, uh, burned. Some say you could hear the screams from miles around us. They were consumed by the fire," Elijah continued before speaking to Alaric. "Could you pass the..."

"I wouldn't repeat this to the Historical Society," Jenna stated.

"It's starting to sound a little like a ghost story to me," John was ignored.

"So, why do you want to know the location of these alleged massacres?" Damon asked, digging for answers.

"You know...a healthy historian's curiosity, of course," Elijah lied.

"Of course," Damon didn't believe at all. Elijah glances at Damon and smiles, nervously, knowing he caught on to the real reason he's looking for these massacres.

Everyone finished eating and were standing up from sitting at the table. Rose stood up and said,"The gentlemen should take their drinks in the study."

"I have to say the food was almost as wonderful as the company," Elijah charmed.

Eira smiled,"I like you."

The men start to leave to the study but Jenna hands John some plates,"Here you are, gentleman, make yourself useful. Hmm?"

John takes the plates and takes them to the kitchen. Eira and Rose were picking up more plates as Alaric said to Jenna,"Here, here. Put me to work."

"Um, I got it," Jenna replied, coldly.

Eira and Rose left the room with a stack of plates in their arms. They got to the kitchen and they put them in the sink. Eira started rinsing them off and putting them in the dishwasher.

Jenna walked into the kitchen,"Hey, do you need help with that?"

"No, Jenna, I'm fine. Just start on the desert," Eira said.

Eira, Jenna, and Rose were in the dining room. Jenna had the desert cooking and she was pouring coffee into a cup for John.

The men came back except Alaric and Jenna stated,"Sorry, guys, dessert is taking longer than I thought. I usually just unwrap food."

Jenna went into the kitchen to check on the desert and Eira took a seat again at the table. Damon sits down and glares across the table at John.

"Elijah, did John tell you he's Elena's uncle-slash-father?" Damon questioned.

"Yes, I'm well aware of that," Elijah stated.

"Of course, she hates him, so there's absolutely no need to keep him on the endangered species list," Damon smirked.

"What I'd like to know, Elijah, is how do you intend on killing Klaus?" John asked.

"Gentlemen, there's a few things we should probably get clear right now. I allow you to live solely to keep an eye on Elena. I allow Elena to remain in her house living her life with her friends as she does as a courtesy. If you become a liability, I'll take her away from you and you'll never see her again along with Eira," Elijah stated and Eira looked at him with wide eyes.

Alaric came up behind Elijah and stabbed him through the back of the chair in the heart. Everyone stood up in shock. Elijah gasped and then desiccated, indicating he was dead. Alaric pulled the dagger back out and set it on the table.

"Now, get rid of him before Jenna comes back with dessert," Alaric stated.

"All right," Damon was in state of shock.

Damon, Alaric, and Rose got rid of the body and the dinner party soon ended. But the night did not. Elijah awoke since the dagger wasn't in his chest and vamp sped to where Eira was. Elijah grabbed her and vamp sped away with her.

"Where is Elena?" Elijah questioned her once they stopped. "Either way, I'll find her so where is she."

"She's at her parents lake house," Eira hesitated before answering.

Elijah vamp sped them to the lake house that Elena was staying at. He let go of Eira and he picked up some rocks and fumbled them around in his hand before throwing them towards the door of the lake house. The door broke off its hinges and it was lying on the floor of the lake house.

"You know, I might not be able to enter this house...But I'm a very patient man. I'll wait you out," Elijah called out.

Elena walks out to where she's in Elijah's view but she stays inside the house with her arms crossed. "They shouldn't have done what they did."

"The deal is off," Elijah stated.

"I'm renegotiating," Elena said.

"You have nothing left to negotiate with," Elijah stated.

Elena uncrossed her arms and pulls out a knife. Elijah was amused. "I'd like to see you lure Klaus into Mystic Falls after the doppelgänger bleeds to death."

"Stefan won't let you die," Elijah stated.

"No, he won't. He'll feed me his blood to heal me, and then I'll kill myself and become a vampire, just like Katherine did. So unless you want that to happen again, promise me the same as before...promise me...You won't harm anyone that I love. Even if they've harmed you," Elena said.

Elijah thought for a moment,"I'm sorry, Elena. I'm going to have to call your bluff."

Elena took a deep breath and then stabs herself in the stomach before pulling the knife out. Elijah rushes to the doorway but can't go any further because he's not invited in.

"No! Yes. Yes, you can have your deal. Let me heal you," Elijah stated.

"Give me your word!" Elena said.

"I give you my word," Elijah says and Elena stumbles over to Elijah and into his arms.

Before Elijah can do anything, Elena stabs Elijah with the mystical dagger and he falls to the ground dead. Elena falls to ground as well due to blood loss. Stefan vamp speed outside and gives Elena his blood to heal before standing up.

Damon walks outside and says,"Little tip. Don't pull the dagger out."

They all went back to the Salvatore boarding house and Stefan and Damon were carrying Elijah's body into the cellar in the basement. Eira and Elena just watched.

They set him down and Damon searched his pockets. "Uhh! What do we have here?"

Damon pulls out the moonstone,"A little moonstone bar of soap. I'll hold on to this."

"So, that's it. I mean, as long as we keep the dagger in there, then he stays dead," Elena wanted to clarify.

"Pretty much," Damon answered.

"Okay, then...Good night," Elena said and started to walk away but she turned back around. "You know, you guys want me to fight, fine, I'll fight. But if we're gonna do this, you can't keep anything from me anymore. From this moment on, we're doing it my way."

"That seems fair," Damon states and they look at Stefan.

"Okay," Stefan responded.

"Okay," Elena stated and left.

Eira was just upset that Elena was trying to control everything to what she wants. That was not the way the world worked. Eira went up to her room and jumped into her bed, exhausted, and fell asleep right away.

Author's Note: Yeah, this was sucky chapter. Eira wasn't that involved so I couldn't really do anything.
