The next day, Eira went with Stefan to the school to help set up the Miss Mystic floats. When they got there, Eira received a text from Bonnie to meet in the chemistry in room inside the school.

Eira walked into the school and she saw Elena walking to the same room. She caught up to her and walked beside her to chemistry room.

"Bonnie asked you to come?" Elena asked.

"Yeah, she said it was important," Eira explained and Elena nodded.

They walked to the room in silence and Elena opened the door for the both of them and then closed once they were inside. Bonnie was sitting down, reading this book and she turned around and smiled at the both of them.

"Hey, thanks for meeting me," Bonnie greeted. "I wanted you both to see this."

"Is that Emily's spell book?" Elena questioned and Eira's eyes widened.

Bonnie nodded,"I've been going through it since Grams died. Check this out."

Bonnie pointed to something on the page the book was opened to. It showed the vampire compass along with other Jonathan Gilbert inventions.

"That's the vampire compass," Elena stated and Bonnie nodded.

"Yeah. According to Emily, Jonathan Gilbert never actually succeeded in inventing anything. Emily secretly spelled them all with magic," Bonnie started pointing things out in the book. "The compass, rings, and the mystery device you told me about."

"Yeah, that's it. Well, a part of it. Damon only has the one piece," Elena explained.

"Emily pledged her loyalty to Katherine. But she couldn't stand by and watch innocent people get killed. This was the only way she could think of to help. To let Jonathan Gilbert believe that he'd actually invented these devices," Bonnie responded.

"Does it say what it does?" Elena questioned.

Bonnie read the page and looked confused,"Are you sure this is what Isobel wants?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. Why?" Elena asked.

"This is a weapon. Against vampires," Bonnie stated and Elena looked shocked.

"And I found something else," Bonnie flipped to a page. The page had drawing of a coffin on it with the initials E.S.

Now, Eira was shocked. "I didn't think that this could be coincidence," Bonnie stated.

"There's nothing else about it?" Eira questioned running her fingers over the drawing.

"There's bits and pieces about you in the spell book. Katherine pressured Emily to do something involving you. It doesn't say what," Bonnie explained.

"Thanks for telling me," Eira stated and Bonnie just nodded.

"You deserved to know."

Eira had been working out in her mind that Katherine had something to do with why she was alive. Now, she knew Emily was involved as well which meant there was magic involved. Some sort of spell.

Eira was outside the school now once they finished talking and she went over to Caroline to help her with decorating the floats.

"Hey, Eira," Caroline smiled before her mouth formed a strict frown. "Where have you been?"

Eira scratched her head,"I've been busy. But, I'm here now and I can help with all of this."

Caroline kept a frown on her face before sighing. "Fine, take these and start attaching them to the front of the float."

Eira grabbed the red and white fringe and the stapler and walked to the front of the float as Caroline called out,"Make it look nice."

Eira placed the fringe near the bottom of the plywood so it would cover the undercarriage of the float. She stapled the fringe to the wood all along the front of the Miss Mystic float.

She eventually finished and when she did a commotion broke out involving Matt. Caroline and Eira ran over to see what was happening and Matt was had his hand trapped under a trailer.

A bunch of guys were trying to lift the trailer. Eira willed for the trailer to be lifted and vines came out under the trailer where no one would see and with their supernatural-like strength, lifted the trailer as Stefan showed up.

Stefan looked at her and Eira had the vines go back into the ground. Stefan went to help Matt and he had Caroline call an ambulance. Stefan looked over his shoulder as he heard Elena calling for Jeremy, frantically.

After that dramatic situation, Stefan, Elena, Eira and Bonnie met in an empty classroom. Isobel had taken Jeremy and was threatening his life unless she got the mystery device.

"Where's the device?" Bonnie questioned.

"Damon has it," Stefan answered. "He's going to be difficult to reason with."

"We'll go to him. Eira and I will talk to him," Elena stated.

Eira crossed her arms,"What makes you think I'm on board with handing over the device?"

Everyone's eyes landed on her and Elena spoke,"She has Jeremy."

"And, I'm not having my brother hand over a device that hurts vampires. Stefan and Damon are vampires, Elena," Eira denied her help.

"What if it's not harmful to vampires?" Elena looked at Bonnie.

They all agreed to have Bonnie deactivate the spell on the device, making it not harmful to vampires. Eira still wasn't caving. She knew Bonnie didn't like vampires. It didn't make sense to Eira for Bonnie to help. So, it was all up to Elena to convince Damon to hand the device over.

They now were at the Salvatore boarding house trying to get Damon to hand over the device. They explained that Isobel had Jeremy to him. But, he wasn't caving.

"Absolutely not," Damon denied.

"Just hear me out," Elena started but was cut off by Damon.

"I'm not gonna give the device to Isobel so she could give it to John who is going to turn it to kill me. I like being a living dead person," Damon stated.

"But, it'll be useless. Bonnie can take its power away," Elena explained.

"I don't trust her," Damon said.

"I can remove the original spell," Bonnie stated.

"John and Isobel will never know," Elena said.

"No, I'll get Jeremy my own way," Damon stated.

Stefan spoke up,"Really? How are you going to do that? Because Isobel is a vampire and Jeremy could be dead the second you walk in the door."

Damon considered his words and turned to Bonnie, "Are you even up for this? I mean no offense, you're no Emily Bennett. Emily knew what she was doing."

"I've been practicing," Bonnie stated.

"It's not piano lessons, honey," Damon snapped.

Bonnie walked over to him,"What's your favorite book?"

"What?" Damon rolled his eyes.

"Name a book, any book," Bonnie said.

"Name a book...How about 'Call of the Wild,' Jack London?" Damon answered, smirking.

Bonnie walked over to the bookshelf and focused. She used her magic to pull the book out of the bookshelf and make it fly through the air towards Damon and he caught it.

Damon looked at the book,"Jack London."

He threw the book towards the corner of the room,"Great parlor trick."

"We're doing this, Damon. And, we're going to do it my way," Elena demanded. "Now, give me the device. We're wasting time."

Anger spiked in Eira towards Elena. She did not get to demand things of her brothers. But, Eira kept a straight face.

"I don't trust you. I tried to kill you," Damon said to Bonnie.

"Your right. You can't trust me," Bonnie replied with an attitude.

"But, you can trust me," Elena pleaded with Damon.

Damon looked at Elena, intensely and Elena held her gaze with him. Damon snapped out of it and looked at Eira.

"What do you think?" Damon looked at Eira.

"No," Eira shook her head. "You shouldn't give it away."

"Isobel has Jeremy, Damon," Elena got Damon's attention on her again. "Just, please give me the device."

Damon looked at Elena intensely again and because he was in love with her, he handed over the device. Eira was fuming that Elena was toying with Damon's emotions.

Bonnie took the device and lit some candles. She took a piece out of the device and set it down. She put her hands over it and with magic, levitated it. Lights started to flicker and the flames in the fireplace got bigger. Then, everything stopped and the piece dropped into Bonnie's hand.

"Done," Bonnie stated.

Elena walked over to Bonnie and grabbed the piece she was holding.

"Great. Now what?" Damon questioned.

"Now, we give it to Isobel," Elena answered.

Eira just had a bad feeling about all of it. She just didn't trust Bonnie when it came to her brothers. And, when Bonnie was deactivating the spell on the device, it just felt like something was wrong.

Elena and Eira went to the center of Mystic Falls near the clock tower where they were supposed to meet Isobel. Eira was the one carrying the device because Damon trusted her the most with it. They didn't see her but then Isobel vamp sped behind them, making them turn around.

"Where's the device?" Isobel asked.

"Where's my brother?" Elena questioned back.

"This isn't a negotiation. Where's the invention?" Isobel asked again.

"Where's my brother?" Elena held her ground.

"Do you really think that I came alone?" Isobel stated and then two of her minions showed up behind Eira and Elena.

"Do you really think that we came alone?" Elena replied back and Damon and Stefan showed up.

"For god sakes, call home," Isobel was annoyed.

"What?" Elena was confused.

"Call home. Ask to speak to your brother, Jeremy," Isobel explained.

Elena called Jeremy and everything seemed to be fine with him.

"You were never gonna hurt him," Elena stated.

"No," Isobel agreed. "I was gonna kill him. Don't look for any redeeming qualities in me. I don't have any."

"But you took a risk with Damon. How did you know that he was gonna give it to me?" Elena questioned.

"Because he's in love with you," Isobel said honestly and then looked at Eira. "I bet that upsets you, Eira."

The wind whipped harshly around them and lightning flashed in the distance with thunder rumbling soon after. Eira's eyes were blazing with frustration but, she gave a fake smile,"The only thing that upsets me is you being here."

Eira took the device out of her pocket and slammed it into Isobel's hand. "Now, get out of this town."

Isobel smirked,"It was nice meeting you, Eira. You did not disappoint."

Isobel turned her attention to Elena,"Goodbye, Elena. As long as you have a Salvatore on each arm, you're doomed. Like Eira, but she doesn't have a choice. Katherine was smart. She got out."

Isobel smirked at Eira,"She knows all about that."

Eira's eyes widened that Isobel revealed that Eira knew Katherine wouldn't be in the tomb. That she knew Katherine covered it all up.

"But, we all know that you're not Katherine," Isobel redirected back at Elena.

Isobel left on that note and her brothers were looking at her shocked that she knew the truth. Eira felt guilty that she didn't tell them all those years ago but it was Katherine's secret and Katherine was her friend. Her brothers decided to wait to ask her about.

Stefan walked over to comfort Elena and she immediately hugged him. Elena now had two people say that Damon was in love with her. She looked at Damon as she hugged Stefan and she saw Eira walk up to stand next to Damon. She remembered the conversation she had with Eira and then locked eyes with Damon again. Some part of herself admitted that she had feelings for Damon, but she loved Stefan and she was determined to stay loving Stefan.

Elena pulled away from Stefan and said,"I should go home. Check on Jeremy."

"Are you sure?" Stefan questioned.

"Yeah," Elena stated. Stefan used his vampire speed to take Elena home and Eira was left with Damon.

He shook his head in disbelief that he didn't think of it,"You knew? Of course, you did."

"Day, she was my friend. I wasn't just going to reveal a secret she entrusted with me," Eira explained.

He sighed before holding his hand out to her,"Come on."

"You don't hate me?" Eira looked at him with wide eyes.

"I could never hate you, Eira. No matter what you do because you're my little sister," Damon said honestly before turning annoyed. "Now, lets go."

Eira smiled and grabbed his hand and he vamp sped them home where they went inside. Eira went upstairs to her room and she got dressed into her pajamas. She got into bed and before she fell asleep, the bad feeling she had returned. She felt like things were about to get worse. And, they would.

Stefan arrived home after dropping Elena off at home. He found Damon in the parlor pouring alcohol into a glass.

"Did you ask her about it?" Stefan questioned in reference to Eira.

"I didn't need to. I should've known. She was the closest person to Katherine," Damon stated.

"You didn't blame her for it, did you? You know she feels guilty about things that involve us," Stefan asked.

"I wonder where she gets that from," Damon looked at Stefan. Stefan gave him a look to answer the question.

"Of course not," Damon stated blatantly. "I wouldn't do that. Not to her."

"But, you're not just here to talk to me about Eira. So, say it. Purge. Get it out," Damon continued.

Stefan talked to Damon about what Isobel said of Damon being in love with Elena. He warned Damon that history would not be repeating itself where Elena was concerned. But, it already was.

Author's Note: So, I'm semi-happy with this chapter. The ending I'm kind of just okay with. It's just I can't wait to write season 2 because everything is going down in that season.
