There were many bars in New Orleans. And Damon Salvatore had gone through many of them before finding the person he was looking for: a tan brunette woman by the name of Sophie Devereaux.
Damon sat down next to her with a smirk, "Sophie. Just the person I was looking for."
Sophie looked at him and glared, "How the hell did you find me?"
"Well, I thought about the self-pity you're probably feeling for yourself after the failure of the Harvest and I figured the best way to forget about it was through drinking," Damon explained. "And I was right."
"So, we have a lot to discuss," Damon said as he grabbed a hold of her forearm and dragged her with him to the exit of the bar.
"Can you not manhandle me? I'll happily cooperate if you stop dragging me," Sophie argued, but she didn't struggle against him. "And you owe me alcohol."
Damon let go of her and rolled his eyes, "Like I owe you anything after you linked yourself to my little sister which almost killed her."
"I did what I had to do for my niece. I'm not going to apologize for that," Sophie said.
"Right, your niece. The niece that was apart of the epic Harvest failure that might've not been such a failure," Damon stated, starting to walk again.
"Wait, what? What do you mean it's not a failure," Sophie jogged to catch up with him.
"As if you don't know," Damon said.
"What exactly should I know?" Sophie questioned, completely dumbfounded.
Damon turned his head to her, "You're apart of the witch community and you're telling me you don't know about the three, probably four, resurrected witches?"
"What?" Sophie's jaw dropped.
"Well, you just became totally useless," Damon sighed as he turned the corner to where he wanted to bring Sophie to only to find two Original brothers. Klaus and Kol were standing in front of the sacrificial mark that was on the wall from earlier that day when they found two dead vampires.
"Sophie. Just the witch I wanted to brutalize. Thank you, Damon, for finding her," Klaus smirked and vamp sped in front of her, grabbing her in a choke hold. "Perhaps you know about the attacks on my men."
Sophie started choking and Damon sighed, "She's useless. She doesn't know anything."
Klaus let go of her and Sophie regained her breath as she glared at Damon, "I may not know anything about the attacks on vampires or these resurrected witches. But I'm not useless. I'm still a witch."
Sophie walked towards the mark on the wall and explained, "This is the result of a complex spell. Old-school stuff, rooted in sacrificial magic. Whoever did this to your guys, my guess is they were an offering to gain more power. More guys they kill, more power they have. Who did this, anyway?"
"My long ago enemy, Papa Tunde, whom I killed and has now returned from the grave," Klaus answered, gritting his teeth in annoyance when his phone rang.

Marcel had been waiting at Rousseau's for Sophie to get information from her. While he was waiting, he was drinking and explaining to Camille who this Papa Tunde guy was.
Papa Tunde wanted money and territory back in 1919. He even went on a rampage sacrificing people when Klaus and Elijah refused him. Elijah then called a truce, even giving his word. But Klaus did something different. Klaus killed Papa Tunde's twin sons that gave the witch power and then he killed Papa Tunde.
"That's awful!" Camille said, horrified.
"Oh, to Klaus, it's just business," Marcel said.
"And don't you think there's something fundamentally wrong with that? Don't you worry you'll end up one of his victims or, worse, just like him?" Camille questioned.
They didn't notice someone opening the door. But they noticed the door suddenly banged close as someone entered and it was revealed to be Papa Tunde, who spoke, "Poor Marcellus. You remain always in the shadow of your father. Climb out from beneath it, will you, so you can die like a man?"
"Cami, you need to run now. Don't look back. Just go," Marcel said as he prepared to face off with Papa Tunde.
"I think she should stay. I prefer an audience, and I'm about to put on quite the show," Papa Tunde stated and then Marcel vamp sped to him and snapped his neck. But Papa Tunde just healed.
"Marcel!" Camille exclaimed, deeply worried.
"I said get out of here," Marcel said and then went to attack Papa Tunde again, but he held Marcel in a chokehold. Camille hesitated by the door, not wanting to leave Marcel alone.
"You cannot defeat me. I channel the power of an Original vampire. Soon, I will have all four. But first, I will take you," Papa Tunde stated and then started chanting, taking power from Marcel as he started to desiccate.
Camille grabbed a glass bottle and being brave, whacked it over Papa Tunde's head to save Marcel. But it did nothing to affect the witch. The witch grabbed Cami and threw her across the bar into the shelves of alcohol. Marcel then attacked Papa Tunde to get his attention off Camille.
Camille crawled across the floor and then got to her feet. She left the bar and called Klaus, knowing that he was in charge of the vampires so he should come and save Marcel.

Marcel was laying on the floor, almost dead as he was nearly desiccated. Papa Tunde crouched down beside him.
"As I recall, you're one of the few people Niklaus Mikaelson ever gave a damn about. You know what he did to my family," Papa Tunde said, and put a hand on Marcel's forehead doing a spell and making him scream in pain.
He removed his hand and got out his bone blade, getting ready to carve his sacrificial mark into Marcel's forehead and kill him, "The sins of the father are paid for by the son. I will take pleasure in telling Klaus how you died."
Klaus vamp sped into the bar and stopped Papa Tunde from killing Marcel, "I remember killing you. I rather relished it. What a joy it is to relive fond memories."
Papa Tunde threw Klaus back, making him crash into a wooden cupboard and making the glass cabinet doors break. Klaus quickly got back up.
"You're here. Good. I can crush you before the eyes of your son. Then, I will consume you both," Papa Tunde said and Klaus attacked him but Papa Tunde countered his attack and held him in a choke hold. "This time, I'm stronger."
Papa Tunde held out his bone blade and started carving his sacrificial symbol into Klaus's forehead. Klaus started to desiccate but then Kol and Damon vamp sped into the bar and each of them grabbed Papa Tunde by one of his arms and forcefully pulled him away from Klaus.
Damon used his vampire strength and stuck his hand into Papa Tunde's chest to rip out his heart, but it was like his heart wouldn't budge.
"Just rip his heart out," Kol said.
"I'm trying," Damon said, aggravated.
Papa Tunde glared at them and Damon was flung back, crashing into the wall of the bar. Kol was grabbed in a choke hold as Papa Tunde used magic to break Kol's limbs before throwing him into the wall as well.

Elijah, Stefan, and Eira arrived at the warehouse where Thierry told them he had cowardly left Rebekah. They rushed in there to find Rebekah desiccated in a circle of salt that formed a magical symbol. They all rushed towards her, but Elijah and Stefan were held back from getting inside the circle while Eira walked right into it.
"It's some kind of boundary spell," Elijah stated, looking down at the exterior ring of salt.
Eira put her arms out with her hands opened flat towards the ring of salt keeping Elijah and Stefan from entering. A harsh wind picked up and a portion of the ring of salt was flung away, breaking the boundary spell.
"Now someone grab Rebekah," Eira said as the two vampires stared at her in surprise.
Elijah quickly rushed to Rebekah and picked her up, carrying her away from the magical symbol created out of salt. This made Papa Tunde lose his source of power as he was channeling from Rebekah.
"It's best we not linger here," Elijah said and the Salvatore twins nodded. Elijah vamp sped away with Rebekah and Stefan grabbed Eira, using vamp speed as well to take her away from the warehouse.

In Rousseau's, Papa Tunde gasped and took a step back as his source of power was gone. Klaus healed and got up, grabbing a candleholder from a table next to him and hitting Papa Tunde with it, making the witch get knocked to the ground.
Klaus looked at his brother and Damon who were healing and getting up so he rushed to Marcel who lay desiccated and nearly dead. Papa Tunde using magic, suddenly disappeared and was gone from the bar.
Camille came back into the bar and looked at Marcel, "Is he dead?"
"Get out of here," Klaus said.
"Is Marcel dead? Did that guy kill him?" Camille questioned again, being worried for Marcel.
"He didn't finish him off. Marcel needs blood to heal. Go. Find me someone off the street," Klaus answered, knowing he couldn't compel Camille anymore or else he would have.
"I'll do it," Camille offered.
"Be my guest, sweetheart," Klaus let her heal Marcel with her blood.

It had been hours later and Rebekah was healed and recovered. Rebekah left the compound along with Stefan and she seemed nervous about the fact that Papa Tunde was back.
Eira was in the kitchen eating strawberries because her pregnancy cravings decided the middle of the night was the best time to show up. Klaus had come back a couple hours earlier before her pregnancy cravings and the first thing he did when he saw her was kiss her like his life depended on it.
"What was that for?" Eira breathed heavily, once Klaus pulled away.
"I'm having a bad day," Klaus answered, entwining one of his hands with hers. "I needed to make it better."
"And did that make it better?" Eira smiled.
"Love, simply seeing you made it better. But I'm selfish and I wanted more," Klaus pressed another deep kiss to her lips before speaking. "And today I feared I might have never seen you again."
"No one can take you away from me," Eira said with a dark edge to her tone.
Klaus grinned at her tone before becoming serious, "I have a lot of enemies, Eira."
"And all of them can die trying."
Klaus had left her alone shortly after that. He had called all the vampires to the compound for their cowardly behavior during the day. Eira had went to go check on Damon from his run in with Papa Tunde, even though Klaus told her everyone was fine. She made sure Damon was okay and that was when her pregnancy cravings started.
She was standing behind Damon who was leaning against the kitchen doorway. He wouldn't let her into the courtyard with all the vampires as he was afraid with what her blood smelt like that one of them might attack her.
Damon looked at her and saw that she had a bowl with cut up strawberries and she had a fork in her hand, "Eira, why are you eating at a time like this?"
Eira looked at him with wide eyes, "I couldn't help it. These cravings are just too strong."
Damon chuckled and pulled her to his side, slinging an arm around her shoulders. Eira looked at the strawberries, with her nose scrunched up before she decided. She looked at Damon, "You want some?"
Damon shook his head 'no'.
"Okay," she smiled at his answer.
Klaus started his speech to the vampires and Eira just munched on strawberries, "Not long ago, you all united against me. You failed. Since then, in my benevolence, I have wiped the slate clean. Yet, it seems clear you think that I am the one who needs to earn your respect, your loyalty. You're mistaken. It is you who must prove yourselves to me. Our community is under attack. I require soldiers. I need warriors, not cowards. Each of you has a decision to make. You either fight alongside me or you leave now."
The vampires talked amongst themselves, deciding what to do before Thierry stepped out and spoke up to Klaus who was on the balcony, "We don't owe you anything. If staying in the Quarter means living under your rule, I'd just as soon as get the hell out."
Thierry and a handful of vampires walk out of the compound. Thierry was hopeful that Diego would come with him, but the dark-skinned vampire shook his head, deciding to stay.
After that whole debacle, Eira finished her strawberries and put her dishes in the dishwasher. The vampires that decided to stay and live under Klaus's rule had left as well to go back to their own homes. Once they were all gone, Damon left Eira alone as he deemed the area safe for her now.
Eira went upstairs and found Klaus in the study with Marcel and surprisingly, Sophie. Klaus's eyes gravitated towards her until she took a seat on the couch, pulling her legs to her chest.
"Now that you've regained your composure, let's move on to the next item of business, shall we, with a little help from our dear friend Sophie," Klaus said to Marcel.
"I got no reason to help you, and I sure as hell don't have a reason to help him," Sophie snapped.
"Now, now, don't be difficult, love. You'll only live as long as you're of use to me, and right now, your best use is to explain why a witch I killed has come back for revenge," Klaus threatened. "Now we know it has to do with the Harvest. Problem is, I don't remember Papa Tunde being on the four person guest list to be resurrected."
"I don't know how, but someone jacked the Harvest's power, and they used it to bring back four witches... Just not the right ones," Sophie explained.
"So there's still a chance? If we can get that power back, we can save Davina," Marcel said, being hopeful and Eira looked up with interest.
"Let's concentrate on the immediate problem, shall we? Papa Tunde wants revenge. He'll continue to attack us, channeling power from the vampires he sacrifices. He kills, he grows more dangerous. So how do I end him?" Klaus questioned Sophie.
"He needs sacrifices to gain power," Sophie answered. "You keep him from killing any more night-walkers, that's a start."
"Unless he finds the one place with a load of vampires ready to be sacrificed," Klaus said and looked at Marcel with a look of realization.
The one place that could be was the Garden where Marcel locked vampires up for their wrongdoings. Klaus and Marcel quickly left the compound to go check it out. And Klaus was right. All the vampires in the Garden had been used as sacrifices.

Rebekah and Stefan were walking around out of the French Quarter as Rebekah requested to be outside of it. Rebekah was rubbing her arms in a nervous habit, "It's not good that Papa Tunde's alive."
"Why are you so nervous about it? I'm sure we'll find a way to defeat him," Stefan squeezed her hand in comfort.
"That's not what this is about. Papa Tunde being alive brings up things that shouldn't be brought up," Rebekah explained. "Secrets that would ruin me if they were revealed."
"What did you do that could possibly ruin you? I'm sure it's not that bad," Stefan tried reassuring, although he didn't know the secret Rebekah was carrying.
"My brother likes to dagger his siblings," Rebekah said fearfully. "For what I did, he would kill me."

In the Lafayette Cemetery, Papa Tunde is knelt down next to a crypt. A ritual is being performed with his bone blade. Sabine walked towards him from behind him. Sabine, who was actually being possessed by a certain someone.
"Is it done?" Sabine questioned.
"This blade now contains all the power I harvested from the vampires. It will do things worse than death, even to an Original," Papa Tunde answered as Sabine walked until she was standing in front of him.
"And are you ready for the final offering?" Sabine asked.
"In the name of the witches of the French Quarter, it is my honor," Papa Tunde lifted the bone blade in the air and then handed it to Sabine.
Sabine took the blade and then stood behind him, "Thank you, Papa Tunde."
And then she slashed Papa Tunde's throat with the blade. Sabine smirked as she felt Papa Tunde's power absorb into the blade.
