"I'm never doing that, again," Damon said as he closed the trunk of the car with all the groceries in it, filled with food.

"All you did was throw things in the cart," she simply stated as she got in the passenger side of the car.

"Exactly. It was exhausting," Damon exaggerated as he started the car and drove off.

Eira let out a small laugh and smiled, "You're such a drama queen."

"That's... not true," Damon tried to be convincing. "Okay, it's only half true."

Eira smiled in triumph as the car came to a stop outside The Grill. Her smile got wiped off. "Damon, what are we doing here?"

"Well, I don't want to drink all of my alcohol. So, I'll drink all the bourbon here," Damon said sarcastically, getting out of the car.

Eira huffed and got out of the car, following Damon. "Why must you insist on always drinking alcohol?"

Damon slung his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him as they walked inside. "You can never go wrong with alcohol as a vampire. Plus, I like it."

Damon took his arm away as he sat down at the bar and Eira sat next to him. "A bourbon and...," he looked at her.

"Fries for me," Eira chimed in to the bartender as he poured bourbon into a glass for Damon. The bartender was staring at her and giving her weird looks which Eira couldn't determine what for. But, Damon seemed to sense what it was as he glared harshly at the bartender. The bartender saw it and scurried away. Eira gave Damon a confused look to which he just shook his head, not wanting to explain it.

Damon started talking to the person sitting next to them, "Behold, the teacher. Don't you have some papers to grade?"

"It's, uh, more fun with a buzz," The person she now knew as a teacher said.

"Well, most things in life are. Sober's depressing," Damon replied to which she shook her head at. He was such a bad influence. At that moment, the bartender brought her the fries she ordered. She smiled in thanks at him to which the bartender just looked kind of in a daze but then he looked at Damon, remembering that glare and scurried off again.

She missed some of the conversation happening between this teacher and Damon. She didn't much care for their conversation, anyway. She had food in front of her and that was more important. The teacher was staring at Damon like he knew something and then said his goodbyes and left. It seemed that Damon was a wanted person today, because a blonde lady showed up in a uniform.

"Daytime drinking, uh?" The woman said to Damon and then she saw me. "Who is this?"

"It's all the rage," Damon said then nodded his head at Eira's direction. "This is my little sister, Eira. Eira, this is Liz. She's the Sheriff."

"Nice to meet you," Eira said politely.

Liz smiled at Eira. "You, too," she said then redirected her attention to Damon. "Listen, I need a favor."

"You ever been in love?" Damon blurted out which took Liz by surprise. "Excuse me?"

"Have you ever been so bent on someone that you just have your heart ripped out by them?" Damon continued.

"You forget I was married," Liz stated.

"Right. Gay husband," Damon stated bluntly to which Eira smacked his arm. "Where are your manners?"

Damon just shrugged her question off. He looked at the bartender and gestured to Liz, "She'll have what I'm having."

He patted the chair next to him,"Sit down."

"He's not usually this bad," Eira chimed in and Liz nodded, reluctantly sitting down.

"There's, uh, a fundraiser here tonight that the Founder's Council is throwing. The town's most eligible bachelors get raffled off for dates. And, well, we're short a bachelor," Liz said.

"Is this what you do when there's no, um, vampires," Damon said quietly which made Liz look at Eira to see if she knew. Eira just nodded. "Organize bachelor raffles?"

"Trust me, at this point I miss the vampires," Liz stated and then continued. "Look, you're a hero to this town, Damon. I know that most people don't know it, but you are. And you're single and a catch."

Damon shook his head 'no'. "Oh, come on. Help me out," Liz pleaded with Damon.

"Yeah, Damon. Help her out. After all, 'you're single and a catch' ," Eira teased him and Damon pushed her, playfully.

He turned serious, "You know, a room full of women clamoring to win a date with me. It sounds tasty."

"Thank you," Liz smiled, but before she left Damon spoke up. "One thing, can you get information on someone for me? Alaric Saltzman, the history teacher. There's just something a little off about him. And, I just want to make sure the high school did their homework on this guy."

"You got it," Liz said and left.

"You better not eat any of the raffle women," Eira warned.

He sighed before saying, "I won't. I promise."

"Can we leave now?" Eira pestered.

Damon drank the rest of his bourbon that was in the glass, "Yes, we can go."

She got up to follow him when he added, smirking, "Plus, I have to make sure I look like the eligible bachelor that I am."

Once they were home, Eira made Damon help with getting the groceries inside and then she put all of them away. She was the only one that was going to eat anything. Damon went to go get dressed for the bachelor raffle and Eira stayed in her room, waiting for him. That was until she heard voices coming from Stefan's room. His room wasn't very far from hers.

She went down the hall to Stefan's room. She saw Stefan and Katherine's look alike. That still freaked her out. She didn't really understand why she looked like Katherine and she didn't particularly like someone having the face of her best friend.

They all stopped talking once Eira came in and the look alike smiled widely,"Hi, I know we met sort of before but it wasn't properly done so, I'm Elena. Stefan's told me a lot about you."

Eira smiled, shyly at her,"I'm Eira, although, you already know that."

"I know you're with my brother and I want you to know that I won't be happy if you ever break his heart," Eira warned.

Stefan stepped in,"Eira... you don't need to say that."

"I'm just being honest," Eira spoke her mind.

"No, it's alright, Stefan. I would be defensive, too," Elena wanted to get along.

"See, it's all fine. So, shall we go?" Eira said.

"I want to stay to talk to Damon. We'll meet up with you, Elena," Stefan said.

Elena turned to Eira,"Do you want to come with me?"

"Uh, sure," Eira said, hesitantly.

Stefan smiled that they were at least getting along with each other and Elena was glad that Eira was easy to get along with because she knew how much his sister meant to Stefan and she wanted to get to know Eira.

"See you there," Eira said to Stefan and walked out of the room, letting the couple say goodbye.

Elena came out of the room and they walked to Elena's car together. Elena wanted to get to know Eira so she asked questions on the drive.

"So, it must be strange for you waking up and everything is different," Elena said.

"Some of it takes some getting use to but it's easier when you know about the supernatural. There's not as many questions," Eira explained.

"So, Katherine had told you about vampires?" Elena asked.

"Yeah. We were best friends. She told me everything," Eira said smiling in remembrance.

"Stefan and Damon were played with by her and you still consider her your friend?" Elena tried to understand.

"I like to think that people shouldn't be judged. And, if they are they should be judged based on how they act around you. Friendships require you to let go of your judgements and I didn't have any against Katherine. She was a good friend to me, and that's all that mattered," Eira answered.

Elena nodded, understanding now. She thought Eira was possibly, the sweetest person she had ever met. Eira didn't judge people and she was kind to everyone, even to Katherine.

Author's Note: Okay, so I'm almost done with this episode. I made some small changes. I'll have another chapter up tomorrow. I love what I wrote with the bartender. Shows how clueless Eira is about boys.
