Book: Destiny never disappoints by @psyco_berry12 Relatability - 20/20 The story follows Royce, a teenage dude who's been through hell living with his abusive father. To make matters worse, his mom abandoned him and his brother six years ago, leaving emotional scars that still linger. Plot: The plot is engaging and well-paced, with a narrative that flows smoothly. I'd give it 16/20. However, there were moments where I felt like certain scenes could have been more detailed or intense. Character development: Royce's transformation from a broken, teenager to someone who's learning to heal and love is remarkable. The author did an excellent job of portraying his emotional struggles, and I'd give it 18/20.
The themes and messages in this book are impactful, tackling issues like abuse, abandonment, and love. However, I felt like some of these themes could have been explored more deeply. I'd give it 13/15. Emotionally, this book hit me hard. Royce's desperation and pain are palpable, and there were moments where I felt like I was right there with him. However, I agree that the writer could have delved deeper into his emotions, making his conflicts even more intense. I'd give it 15/20. Lastly, the writing style is straightforward and easy to follow. However, some of the sentences felt a bit simplistic, and the dialogue could have been more nuanced. I'd give it 7/10. Overall, this book is a powerful and emotional read. While it has its flaws, the author shows tremendous potential. 89/100

Yes, love sucks by @WonViolet Relatability (20/20) I found myself deeply invested in Olivia's journey, and her struggles felt eerily familiar. Mostly because she's really shy. Plot (19/20) The plot was engaging and unpredictable, with a few surprising twists. While some plot points felt a bit rushed, the overall narrative was well-paced and enjoyable. Character Development (15/20) Olivia showed significant growth in some parts of the story. Though, some supporting characters felt a bit one-dimensional. Themes and Messages (14/15) The author explored some really important themes, like the complexities of love and the importance of self-care. Emotional Impact (13/15) While the story didn't quite tug at my heartstrings as much as I'd hoped, there were still some poignant moments that resonated with me. Writing Style (7/10) The writing was clear and concise, but lacked a bit of. . . polish. Overall - 88/100

Book Title: Battle of Invisible Thorns: pt 1 of rise of midnight by @Swanangel15 Relatability - 20/20 This book really captures the struggle of the young protagonist, Alexis. Being overshadowed by her twin is not just because her sister's got blue eyes and she's got brown eyes. It's a poignant portrayal of how societal beauty standards can affect one's self-esteem. Plot - 17/20 Very engaging, I didn't even get bored one bit while reading it. The author did a great job of pacing the story, and the twists kept me hooked. However, there were a few moments where I felt like the plot could have been more complex or layered. Character Development - 15/20 I'm afraid the story hasn't been completed yet, so I don't know much about the character development. But while reading, I noticed some changes in Alexis's behavior. She wasn't as timid as she was at the beginning of the book. I'm excited to see how she grows and evolves in the next installments.
Themes and Messages - 13/15 The author tackles some heavy themes like beauty standards, sibling rivalry, and parental favoritism. While these themes are timely and relevant, I felt like they could have been explored more deeply. Emotional Impact - 15/15 It was just too emotional. I felt really bad for Alexis, she didn't deserve all that treatment, and her parents didn't help matters at all. I found myself getting frustrated and angry on her behalf. Writing style - 4/10 As much as I loved this book, the author's writing still needs improvement. You need to work on your paragraphing and punctuations. Just a harmless consideration. Overall - 84/100
