Lunarcress

Pete walked up to Abigail, gave her a slight look-over, and then stuffed a bag over her face. Abigail squirmed, but the men held her tight as someone tied her hands behind her back. The bag was thick fabric, and didn't let in much light.

Abigail held still for a second. Abigail moved her leg around nonchalantly until she found one man's foot, then she stomped down, hard. Her surprised captors let go, one of them screaming like a little girl.

Abigail dashed off, but found it very hard to run without seeing, and she couldn't use her hands to feel around. She just hoped she wouldn't run of a cliff or something.

Abigails toe hit something hard, and that sent her tumbling down a short hill. She still couldn't use her hands to get up, so she just lay there, breathing heavy.

"There you are!" One of the men snickered. He yanked her to her feet and started to drab her along. She tried kicking, but the man just shoved her along. She could hear them regrouping.

"Runs pretty fast for a little girl," She heard on archer comment, "she must be strong." Some of the archers chuckled at this, and Abigail tried to imagine what inside joke they would be giggling at.

Since, physically, Abigail wasn't strong enough to hurt them, she thought if she sounded tough they might treat her better. Or they might shove her back off the waterfall, but Abigail thought it was worth the risk.

"You guys giggle like old ladies," Abigail growled. It didn't have any effect, except it seemed to amuse the men more.

After a long, long, long feeling walk, they arrived at somewhere. Abigail couldn't see where, she still had a bag over her face.

She was shoved into a chair, and her hands were tied behind her back. Then a man, roughly, pulled the bag off her head.

"Owwwwwww," Abigail moaned as some of her hair came of with the cap. She wished the man had been a little less rough. Pete strolled up to Abigail and looked her in the eye.

"How much money do you think we can ransom you for?" Even though Pete wasn't actually asking her, Abigail answered anyways,

"How about, nadda, zero, zilch, zip," Abigail growled, "I don't have a lot of value in my family anymore." She added, sadly.

Pete seemed to pity her for a nanosecond, but went back to smirking.

"Then they won't miss you." He stated evilly.

Minutes later, a man walked over to where Abigail was tied up. He was tall with broad shoulders, and he looked strong enough to uproot a full-grown tree. He wore a casual, dark, long-sleeve shirt, and fading black jeans. Also he wore a mask that only showed his eyes. The mask was the same dark grey as his shirt, but had silver threads running through it. But the thing Abigail noticed was his eyes. His eyes full of fire, glowing with emotions, mostly anger.

He strode to where Abigail was.

"My men told me they saved your life." He announced. Abigail didn't know how to respond, after a few awkward seconds she looked to the ground and responded.

"Yes sir."

"I like your manners."

"uhh... thanks." The man let out a small chuckle, and leaned towards and simply said,

"Good manner are important for slaves." Then he wandered away. Then, turning around to face Abigail again, he asked her for her name.

"Ab—Anna" She lied.

"I don't like liars," the man said coldly.

"Abigail, that's my name." Abigail sighed.

"I'm Lunarcress." And with that the man turned and continued on his way towards the hidden compound base.
