I was on the couch with a hot cup of coffee in my hands, while watching the neighborhood get ready for Halloween.

I just sighed as I take another drink of my coffee, I like Halloween but I'm not big on it, I love seeing kids dress up in their Halloween costumes.

My sister Kathy and her kids sarah&sonny come over ever Halloween to watch scary movies, I really do love it but my sister always asked when I'm going to start a family of my own someday.

Yeah about that, I had found out that around,  I was 29 that I can't have kids but I never told my sister that I can't, I always wanted kids of my own and see what it feels like to be a mother but that will never happen to me.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when the doorbell ring.

Who could that be at the early in the morning, I sit my cup of coffee on the table.

I open the door and look around but I don't see anyone, I was about to close the door until I saw a huge box with my name on it.

I grab the box and walk back inside.

I close the door and sit the box on the couch, I tear open the box, I saw a book and a key.

I grab the book and see that it was called the night of the living dummy.

I had always love Ventriloquist dummies since I was really little.

I pick up the book and see that it was a lock, who would lock a book, I saw a key in the box, I was about grabbed the key when a note caught my eye.

I sit the book down, I grab the note and started to read it.

I smile as I put away the note, I grab the book and the key, I took one more time at the note before I unlock the book.

I got dust in my face as I open the book.

I cough as I lay the book down.

I got up from the couch and walk into the kitchen with the book.

I lay the book on the countertop and I grab a ragout the sink and wipe my face.

I walk back into the living room, I see ventriloquist dummy on my couch, wearing a grey suit with a red flower.

I sit down by the dummy, I look at him, I see a little crack on his nose and his chin and he has brown eyes and brown hair.

You look really adorable for a three-inch puppet, I said as I pick him up.

I lay him on my lap, I look at his suit and I seen a little note in his suit pocket.

I grab the note out of his pocket.

My Name is Slappy, What Your's, I had read what the note said.

What is on the back, I said as I turn the card over.

I just put the card back into his suit pocket.

I know that my dreams of being a mother will never come true but I don't really care to be some kind of mother to a three-inch puppet, I said.

I was about to grab a book off the table when I heard my phone ring in the kitchen.

I lay Slappy back on the couch, I will be right back, I said as I walk into the kitchen.

I grab my phone off the countertop and see that it was my sister calling me.

I answer it.

Hey Sis, What are you doing, Kathy asked?

Nothing, I replied back.

Sarah&Sonny really miss their aunt y/n, Kathy said.

Today Is Halloween and Tonight, the little kids will be trick or treat for candy.

I was looking for candy so I can pass it out tonight, but the word mama caught my attention.

I was on the porch with slappy in my lap with the bowel of candy in his.

Happy Halloween, I said as I hand a couple of pieces of candy to a little girl dress like a car racer.
