One To Ten
"Hey, would you please rate my body size, my hair color, my eye color, and the way I look, on a scale of one to ten?"
Said no one ever.
Have you ever stopped to think,
That rating someone
Doesn't determine who they are,
Or even think about their feelings in the process?
You see, that girl you gave a three,
Cried herself to sleep,
Because you gave her a measly three.
And she will always think she isn't good enough,
And that she'll always be a three.
And the girl you gave a ten is parading around,
Acting like she's higher than everybody else.
And the guy you gave a two,
Thinks by the time he is 52,
He'll have never have had a relationship
Since when is it okay to put someone on a scale?
You see, our beauty, you can not see in your clouded colored eyes,
You seem to be blind to the fact that beauty is within.
But if we're going to be doing scales,
On a scale of one to ten,
Of how douchey you are,
I'll give you a big whopping ten,
How does it feel to be a ten now?
We are humans,
We have our own feelings,
So before you put us on a scale,
Stop and think,
Do you think a number determines you?
