I've wanted to publish this for ages but its taking too long so here's the hyung line:

warning: I'll be ending my semi hiatus today but I'll be going on another semi-hiatus very soon (but I currently have like 2 one shots I want to write before that happens)

Scenario: You've been working so hard, staying up all night and putting in all your effort into a project you've had to complete. You were proud of it but when you presented it, your boss (or teacher or whoever) belittled it and said you didn't know what you were doing. You go home absolutely defeated and deflated, feeling like you stayed up all those nights for nothing.

Bang Chan:
- You arrive home and lock the door behind you, immediately bursting into tears.

- You didn't think anyone was home and you just couldn't hold it in anymore.

-"Surprise, baby! I came hom-"

- You both just kinda freeze, you weren't expecting him to be home and he didn't know why you were crying.

- However, although he was surprised, he doesn't hesitate to pull you into his chest and hold you tight

- He lets you cry it all out and when you feel better, he'll ask you what happened

- You tell him and end off with: "Maybe I should've spent more time on it."

- He immediately makes this face 🤨

- "What do you mean more time? You put so much effort into that. I'm proud of you, you worked so hard."

- "But it wasn't enough, Chan. I did my best and it wasn't enough."

- "It's okay. I know it sucks but at least now you know what they want you to do. We can work on it together."

- You hug him tighter and he responds by squeezing you a little.

- "Okay, that's it."

- He breaks away from the hug and carries you bridal style to the bedroom, lifting up the sheets and tucking you into them.

- "I'll be right back."

- Grabs a handful of snacks and climbs in next to you.

- "Let's just take a break for today."

- Gives you a peck on the lips.

- Pulls you close and you just cuddle while watching a movie.

Lee Know:

- You get home before him.

- You always find cleaning therapeutic, so you just get started right away.

- You've got headphones in, and you're scrubbing a pan with a stubborn burn mark on.

- As you scrub, the meeting from earlier on today plays through your mind and you get much more frustrated and unconsciously scrub super hard, successfully removing the burn mark, but as you keep going, the pan just seems to get whiter (or damaged)

- A pair of hands carefully reach over yours and slowly massage circles into them

- You relax into his touch, immediately knowing it was Minho.

- "Whatever's bothering you, don't take it out on my crockery, please."

- You turn around and give him a 😑 face

- He laughs and leans down to capture you in a kiss

- You melt into the kiss, dropping the pan

- When he pulls away, he gives you a kiss on the forehead and he motions for you to move aside with a smile.

- You oblige and begin to tell him what happened, him listening diligently as he washes the dishes.

- When you finish, he has finished cleaning and walks over to give you a hug.

- You relaxed into it, enjoying the rare occasion.

- "Your boss sucks. I'm going to give him a piece of my mind. How would you like me to make you some porchetta?"

- You laughed and lightly slapped his shoulder.

- "Yeah, right. As if you would do something like that. And some porchetta would be wonderful."

- 'At least you're laughing now' he thought.

- He makes you the porchetta and waits for you to go to the bathroom, leaving your phone behind.

- He quickly goes through your phone, looking for your boss' number.

- He sends it to himself, putting your phone back where he found it and he types out a lengthy paragraph about why your boss doesn't deserve you.

- To your surprise, you receive and email from your boss in the morning saying that they looked over it again, they liked it, and they would like to discuss it a bit more.

Seo Changbin:

- The meeting has just ended and you're walking home.

- Knowing that your boyfriend would be busy and unable to come home, you decide to call him and rant then.

- Changbin was eating his lunch but still picks up excitedly, knowing that today was an important day for you.

- However, the way you greet him and make small talk lets him know that you aren't okay

- He desperately wants to come and comfort you, but he can't leave the company right now.

- He just settles for listening to you rant, offering little interjections every now and then, mainly consisting of "You're right." and "I don't know what they were thinking."

- You do feel a bit better after getting it all off of your chest, but you honestly just needed to be in his arms right now.

- I mean, he *is* your safe space.

- Because of the way you let out a small sigh before you ended the call, Changbin knew you wished you could see him and that you were unsatisfied with the outcome.

- He works super hard at lightening speed to be dismissed early.

- Makes it back home to you to find you wrapped in blanket burrito, taking a nap.

- He smiles softly and climbs in next to you, wrapping his arms around you and snuggling into you.

- You wake up to a pair of strong arms holding you, and you turn to see your boyfriend, hugging you and the blanket.

- You quickly wriggle about and wrap the blanket around him too, pulling him under the covers

- "Thank you for being here when I needed you."

- "Of course. I'll always be here when you need me."

-"How did you know, though? I tried my best to not show it so you could focus on your work."

- "I know you too well, baby."

- You smile and snuggle into Changbin, the earlier meeting completely forgotten. You both fall asleep like that.

- With some encouragement from Changbin, you're able to go to work the next day, determined to improve your work and show your capability.

Hwang Hyunjin:

- Already home, drawing on the iPad you brought him.

- You slam the door shut and let out a loud sigh.

- He obviously knows that something is wrong, thanks to your dramatic ass.

- Waits for you to come find him.

- He pulls you into his lap and shows you what he drew.

- "Babe, what do you think?"

- You smile at him, proud that he could draw like this.

- "It looks awesome, well done."

- Hyunjin smiles happily and puts away his iPad and switches on the tv, putting on a movie that you two could watch together as you cuddle.

- After the movie is over and you've calmed down a bit, you rant to Hyunjin.

- He listens and it takes every ounce of his being to not react dramatically, knowing you would do the same if he did, and he had just managed to calm you down.

- When you finish ranting, he pulls you into a hug.

- "That sucks. I'm so sorry they made you feel like your work is worthless. I know you worked super hard on it, and for what it's worth, I'm proud of what you've done so far. You might have to spend just a tiny bit longer on it, but it's still amazing, okay?"

- You nod and relax in his arms, staying there for quite a while.

- Eventually, he carries you to bed and you fall asleep cuddling into him.

- The next day, you feel energised to take on the new day.
