Chapter One: Just Chillin'.

(Sky POV)

"Mudkip! DEADLOX! Where you guys at?!"

I stood at the bottom of the stairs and stared upwards. A slight frown on my face. They'd been gone all day. Yes I was getting worried, they were my friends, duh, but it wasn't like them to leave without any warning. I shuffled back into the living room.

Jerome and Mitch were laughing and joking about the time they traded with a villager and an enderman teleported in front of them and stole Betty from Jerome. "I went for him! I said, NO-ONE TAKES BETTY AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!" Jerome was on his feet mimicking kicks and punches, but his grin faded as he saw the look on my face. "Hey Sky, you ok?" Mitch turned to look at me with concern, "Watsup?" "Have you seen the guys lately? They just disappeared without a trace!" Jerome and Mitch rolled their eyes, "You know what those goofballs are like, probably went to kill monsters or something, I dunno." Jerome went back to finishing his story and Mitch was laughing.

I sighed and went to the kitchen. Ssundee walked in, popping a can of soda, he took a good glug before he asked me what was the matter. I explained and he said that they had told him that they had gone to the mountains with Jason to try and find Jeffrey who'd gone missing a few days before. "Thanks Ian!" I ran out the door, grabbing my BUDDER sword on the way out.

Chapter Two: Wrong Turn

(Sky POV)

"CRAP!" I'd forgotten my compass. Now I was lost in the woods somewhere off the south of the SkyBase. I clenched the hilt of my BUDDER sword so hard my knuckles went white.

What a fool I'd been, the Mudkip and Ty would be back by now, and I was lost in the frickin' woods. "TY! JEROME?! ANYONE?!" I yelled out. Suddenly I heard a zombie gurgle, I whipped round and stabbed the zombie that had tried to come up from behind me, I went into a forward roll and came up the other side. The zombie had dissolved into smoke and left behind a carrot and a feather.

I grabbed the carrot, "Least I won't go hungry, I guess." I munched the carrot as I tip-toed through the woods. Suddenly a wolves howl pierced the impending gloom. (Look it up if you don't know what it means!) I jumped into the air and stared around at me, eyes wide. Suddenly a huge shape loomed up before me. Five silver scythe claws shot out of two paws. A jaw full of carving knife teeth

snapped together centimetres away from my petrified face.

I brought my BUDDER sword up in front of my face but 10 claws flashed up and clanged against it, forcing it down. I couldn't make a single sound, my stomach twisted and wrung itself out in fear. My carrot was threatening to come up again. The creature stepped into a patch of moonlight and pushed me to my knees with its inhuman strength. My gaze flashed upwards and my jaw dropped open.

Now, don't get me wrong, I've heard about werewolves but I've never seen one in person. Now I had. It had jet black silk fur, caked with sweat and covering 2.5 metres of quivering, knotted muscle. It lead up to a sleek wolf head, looking like a hound straight from the Nether. Complete with lava red eyes and a snuffly snout dripping snot. A dribble of spit settled on my head from its cavernous, bloody jaws.

"Fuck. I'm screwed." I tried to run, but the wolf had me in a steely iron grip. It pulled me close, so I could smell its carrion breath. I gagged, but it pulled me closer still, so I could see the reflection of my terrified face in its crimson iris's. My breathing became laborious and ragged as my heart pounded in my chest, then the werewolf opened its jaws and I was staring down its black throat, I still couldn't scream.

Then, as the clouds parted fully and a beam of moonlight shine down, it lunged forward and bit my shoulder. I was on fire, my blood boiled, my eyes watered, I lost all self-control, suddenly, I could use my vocal cords, I let loose with the loudest scream in the world. It echoed round the woodland, bouncing off mountains, and permanently deafening the wolf. It whined and dropped me on the ground, and ran away. I didn't blame it, my voice is pretty unsavoury at the best of times. Then I passed out.

===================================================================

Chapter Three: Whats happened to Sky?!

(Ssundee POV) (You weren't expecting that were you?!)

I heard the scream from over 10 miles away. It was Sky. No exceptions. I stumbled out of the kitchen. The others were passed out on the sofa. They'd been playing on Bodil40's server. I shook Jason awake. "What is it Ian, you're not going derp again are you?" "NO! SKY'S IN TROUBLE IDIOT!" "Geez, ok ok Ian, hang on." He propped himself on one elbow, shaking awake Deadlox and Fluffy. "Wake up guys! Sky's in trouble!" Deadlox was awake in seconds. "SKY'! WHAT, WHERE, WHO, HOW?! "Whoa DEADLOX, calm down! Ian, what's going on?!" "Fluffy, deadlox, Mitch, SKY'S IN TROUBLE!" "Where is he?!" Quentin came downstairs. "Yo, guys all I can hear is you all screaming, what's up?" "What's happened?!" Jerome looked around. "Hey, wheres Mitch?" "Help, I'm trapped under the pillows!" While Jerome helped Mitch up, Deadlox and I grabbed our armour and weaponry and headed out.

We found Sky curled up in a bloody ball, clutching his injured arm. He was passed out, and he barely had a pulse going. I heaved him off the ground while Deadlox examined some animal prints that were near Sky, "Yo Ssundee, check this out!" I lugged Sky over. "What is it?" "This was no normal animal that attacked Sky!" "Hmmm." I frowned. Mitch and Jerome took Sky from me, he was moaning now, something about BUDDER nuggets. "C'mon guys, lets head back to the house." With the others in tow, I headed back to the house, Sky leaving a blood trail as we went...

(Sorry the chapters are long guys, stay with me though!)

Chapter Four: A howl in the night

(It's gonna get better from here...)

(Sky POV)

My eyelids fluttered open. My limbs felt like lead. My arm itched, and stung, and basically hurt like hell. I suddenly had a terrifying flashback of teeth sinking into my arms, poison being injected into my soul. I sat up straight, my back clicked painfully. I swore. I shook my head and swung my legs out of bed. I braced myself against my BUDDER sword for support.

Deadlox came in. "Whoa Sky, what are you doing out of bed?!" "Is this some sort of trick question?" It came out harsher than I meant it to be. "Sorry, it's just, when we saw you in the woods, I-" I shook my head and got back into bed. "And you stay there!" Deadlox wagged a playful finger at me and closed the door. I gazed out of the window till nightfall.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My eyes closed, I knew I was changing. My body felt stronger. More reliable. I felt more powerful, stronger. But with strength, came hunger, hunger that devoured my very soul in urgency. I slunk out of my room, now a wolf, in the light of the moon coming through the window I saw my reflection in the mirror, it was hideous. I looked away, my jaws salivating at the proximity of the humans. "They're my friends, I HAVE to leave them alone!" I growled and snarled, but made my way out of the SkyBase all the same. I crept through the woods, making for the nearest village. I won't say what happened next, it was too gruesome. And I don't remember.
But with villager blood coating my fur and talons, I stood on a rocky outcrop and howled, a spine-chilling howl that crept to the roots of my fur and made the Sky inside of me cower in fear.
My eyes glowed lava red in the darkness and I watched in satisfaction as the squids below me shivered in intense fear. I kept howling till the sun came up and I returned to bed, as though it had never happened...
Chapter Five: Anger Issues
(Deadlox POV)
I crept out of bed and into the kitchen, I was shivering violently. All night long I had heard a wolf howling, mournfully, and it sounded like it had been calling me. It had put images into my head that I had never wanted. But would now never forget. I chucked a porck-chop into the furnace and put my head in my hands, I wasn't going to have another sleepless night like that again. If the wolf didn't shut up, I was gonna run my iron swords through it a couple of times. I heard someone stumbling downstairs. "Deadlox, that you?" "Hey Sky, how you feeling?" "Fine thanks." He stretched, yawning groggily. "You look exhausted still Sky." "I'm fine." "Did that wolf keep you awake last night?" Sky froze, "What did you say?" I cocked an eyebrow, "Did the Wolf keep you awake last night?"
Sky started backing towards the door, his eyes darting everywhere, like he was trying to find a way to escape. "What wolf, dunno what you're talking about!" I took a step towards him, "Why are you so, different, this morning Sky?" Suddenly he snarled at me, literally snarled. "It doesn't matter, alright?! Just forget about the wolf!" His eyes were tinged reddish behind the sunglasses. He was shivering like he had a fever, but I could feel the heat coming off of him. "Sky, what is it? You're acting so weird, I-" His eyes glowed lava red. "JUST SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE, OK?!" Then he sprinted out of the room. I felt like I was going to faint. Something was REALLY wrong with Sky.
I went to the Mudkip's room to see what he thought of Sky's knew temperament. I knocked on the door, he opened it, a mike strapped to his mouth and his fin looking a bit crooked. "What is it Deadlox, I'm recording." He complained. "I hope it's not on camera, you're a sight for sore eyes." He swiped at me, but I ducked, grinning. Then I remembered what I was here for, and opened the door a little wider. "Look, Mudkip, have you noticed anything different about Sky today, he-he, crap, ok, he just lost all self-control just now, like he hated me or something, didn't you hear him yelling at me?" "I dunno, maybe he's got Anger Issues or something, look, Deadlox, I know your worried about Sky, but, just don't bother me again, ok?" I looked at the floor. "Ok..." He shut the door with finality.
I decided to talk to Jason, maybe he'd know something. "Jason?" I whispered, tapping on his door. "Yes Deadlox." He opened it. "Have you noticed anything STRANGE happening to Sky lately?" "Not really, I've only seen him for like, a couple of seconds today." "Really?!" "Yeaaaah, he was twitching a bit, but nothin' much else." I sighed. "Ok, thanks Jason, just, keep an eye on him with me, ok?" He nodded. "Maybe we should go and check on him now?" "Ok!" We went to Sky's room. Opened the door. It. Was. Empty...
(DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!)
Chapter Six: We're going on a Sky hunt!
(Sky POV)
"WHAT THE CRAP JUST HAPPENED?!" Ok, yeah, I know, I shouldn't of shouted at Deadlox like that, but, I just... Ok, I just felt this urge, to kill him, and bite and scratch him, and tear him apart. And I couldn't let my wolfy do that to him. So I had to get out. And fast. So I yelled at him, MAN I feel bad about that...But I'll make it up to him. (#Smiley!)
I'm in the woods again now. I came here last night too, there's plenty to kill. And scratch. And bite. And- well, you get the idea.
So it was nighttime now, I was wolf again. I slunk through the forest, my claws rustling the leaves on the ground. Wouldn't it be great to stay this way forever! No more mining, being human, none of my boring, abstract life of yesterday. I could sense something. It came nearer and nearer. Until it burst through the undergrowth, raised its iron sword ANNNNND-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Deadlox POV)
"JASON HURRY UP WITH JEFFREY, WE'RE GOING ON A SKY HUNT!" I shouted from the back door. Out in the garden, Jason was giving Jeffrey some TLC after he'd been in the mountains by himself. "FINE, FINE, FINE!" I could hear him making little missy noises as the pig snorted away. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my iron sword and helmet. "WELL, I'M GOING WETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT!" " OK!" Then I left. So much for keeping an eye on Sky, he'd left without a trace. Well, not quite. He'd forgotten his BUDDER sword, (SHOCK SHOCK HORROR!) so I was bringing it with me. I shoved my helmet on my head, readjusted my headphones, switched on Sky's Parody of Coldplay's Paradise, and turned it up! As I crossed biome to biome, I looped the song, so it would fill me with courage, listening to the old Sky's voice in my head. Over. And. Over. And. Over. Again.
It was about mid-afternoon when I saw the village. I walked in, and stopped in horror. The music ended abruptly. Buildings had been torn apart, villagers had been clawed and eaten to death. There was blood everywhere, it stuck to my shoes as I squelched through it. I made my way to the centre of the village, where the mayor lives. There was no mayor, and no village. It had been completely annihilated. I shook as I wandered round the wreckage, there was nobody to be seen. Then I came across an iron golem, weeping. I knitted my eyebrows together in sympathy and came forward. It looked at me. "What-what happened here golem?" It fumbled for a piece of paper and scrawled a sentence or two down. But the only words I needed to see was wolf...and Sky.
I sprinted out of the village, after directing the golem to SkyBase to recover. I then made for the woods. My best bet was that Sky was trying to tame the wolf, but had failed, and was going out to try it again, oh, how WRONG I was. I ran and ran and ran. The blod and music pounding in my ears, rising to a crescendo, and then...silence. I stood in front of the woods. Staring into their murky depths. By now it was nightfall. I changed swords, gripping Sky's sword's hilt so hard my knuckles went white. (Remember this?!) Then I charged in.
Chapter Seven: Sky's Blood
(Back to Sky now I've explained!)
Annnnnnddd! It was DEALOX?! "Arooooo?!" I howled in shock and leapt back a few metres, but he kept coming.
(Deadlox)
I HAD TO KILL IT BEFORE IT KILLED SKY! OR ANYONE ELSE. I LEAPT FORWARD AS IT DODGED AND STOOD ON ITS TAIL. IT YELPED IN FEAR AND ANGUISH. ITS RED EYES WELLING UP AS IT STARED UP AT ME. AND I-
(Sky)
And it drove the blade right between my ribs, just below the heart! "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" I howled, the pain overloading my senses. I scrabbled at the ground, my limbs jerking uselessly as I died. Nooooo, not like this, not like this.....no...no.. NO! My thoughts were dying fast, I was loosing blood.
(Deadlox)
It was nearly dead, I just had to finish the job, I raised my sword again, and stopped. Round the wolves neck, was a purple amulet. Sky's amulet! "Holy Shit, fuck, NO NO NO NO!! SKY! WHY?!!" The wolf was shrinking now, it's paws straightening out into hands, it's tail melting away. Until Sky lay before me, fully clothed, thank god, blood pouring out of his chest. "No! Nononononono, please, god no! Why him, WHY HIM?!" I gently picked up my dying friend and rushed back to SkyBase. "FLUFFY, GET SETO, NOW!" Jerome took one look at Sky and obeyed me. Jason came in with Jeffrey, "HOLY CRAP, SKY-" "Just go! Help get SETO." I lay Sky on the sofa, making sure he was comfy." I stroked his BUDDER sword till Seto arrived. "OUT OF THE WAY EVERONE, OUT!" Everyone backed away, even me. "Right ok, potion of healing, splash potion of regeneration..."
Finally, Seto stepped back. We all held our breath. And Sky opened his eyes. "Well, I just totally screwed up my life." "SKY!" We all shouted joyfully. I'll admit it eared up a bit. "Dude, I'm sorry I yelled at you, but the sword thing?" I laughed. "I'm sorry Sky. Last night was a bit fucked up, huh?" "I'll give you that!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chapter Eight: SkyWolf

(POV SKY)

"So, are you normal again now?" That was the question Deadlox asked me. And after all this time, I don't even know. I mean. I wasn't really normal to start with, but now, I know I've changed. Somehow. Once Fluffy asked me if I would write a book about this experience of mine. So I did. And The Mudkip asked me what I would call myself. As a werewolf. And Jason said, "SkyWolf of course!" At the time it was funny, but now, I kinda like it. SkyWolf. That's who I was. SkyWolf...

THE END
