A/N: I AM VERY SORRY THAT THIS BOOK HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED IN WAYOVER A MONTH!! I have been trying to find ways to continue this and got carried away with some other distracting things XD. BUT! I have finally done it and written this chapter!!! ENJOY WITH NO CONTEXT FROM MEH >:3

(No one's POV)

The two of them just stared at each other, not really sure of what they should be feeling. I mean, Mario left his friends behind when he moved away suddenly, disappearing without a trace for 3 years. Then suddenly, by coincidence, they meet once again in the dorm rooms in this magical high school. David wasn't sure what he should be feeling about seeing his 'boyfriend' again... Happiness that he found Mario again? Anger that Mario had basically ditched them without a reason? Or sadness that there was a chance that Mario doesn't remember them, remember him... Scratch that last one as Mario began to speak, a quiet, shaky and shy voice coming out of his mouth. "D-D-David...?" He was afraid of what he would think for leaving them.

"I-It is you..." David dropped his bags and opened his arms, inviting the shocked and startled bean who was sitting on the couch. "It's been a while, can I have a hug Emerald?" Mario's eyes glistened with tears, not expecting David to remember his old nickname for when they were together, let alone use it. The male bean hurriedly hopped off of his spot on the couch, running over and tackling David into the tightest  hug possible. "I-It r-really is y-you! I m-miss you..." The wolf bean cried, his face in David's chest as they hugged for what felt like forever, but it was only about 5 minutes in reality.

"I missed you too, Emerald. I'm sure Michael, Kit and Austin did too." David whispered, hugging Mario just as tightly while reaching a hand up to pet Mario's little wolf ears. "You look adorable as a wolf~" It seems that it hasn't been that long since Marion underwent the transformation into an Aliatos because his tail was still bunched up and his ears were so fluffy and pup-like. Mario blushed at the compliment and the pets, subconsciously purring into David's hand. Sadly, this adorable little moment was ruined by a certain knock at the door by three of their curious friends. How the hell they managed to find out which dorm they were even in can be anyone's guess. "David! We fou-" Welp... Mario's got some explaining to do.

Well, this is awkward. "Did we... interrupt something?" Kit spoke up, confused along with Michael and Austin. I mean, what do you expect if you walk into your friend's dorm to see then hugging and petting their roommate who was a complete stranger? David and Mario never let go of each other but were a little looser than before. The wolf bean got a little shy with the other people in the room, so he turned in David's grip so he was hiding behind the taller male. David smiled down at Mario when he hid behind him, turning to his other friends to explain the situation that the three had just walked into. "Well, yes you did. We were kind of having a little moment before you guys decided to bust through the door, isn't that right Emerald?~" He said that last part a little louder, just to make sure his friends heard him loud and clear.

Cue wide eyes, tears and gasps from ze other three people in the room.

"MARIO!!" Kit squealed, running over and hugging the absolute crap out of her old bean friend, just a 'few' tears running down her face as they finally found their long lost friend. "I thought we would never see you again!!" At some point while the the three were hugging, Michael and Austin snapped out of their dazed state, also running over and joining in with the group hug. Tears were shed, hugs and friendly squeezes were shared around the whole group equally, but nobody's tears could be bigger than the wolf bean in the middle of this hug. He was happy that he had his friends back, after 3 years of being along and only just making a few friends at this school, this was like a freaking miracle to him.

But all happiness aside, there was still one question looming in everyone's minds, what happened 3 years ago that caused them to be split up from the wolf bean? Nobody dared to speak up and ask the dreaded question, until David decided to man up and ask what everyone was thinking. "I know we missed you and all, I'm absolutely happy we found you Emerald... but why did you leave without even saying goodbye to us? To me..." David could feel Mario's grip tighten on them as he asked the question, feeling a little guilty for potentially upsetting the bean. "It's fine if you don't want to tell us, it just kind of hurt when you suddenly disappeared-" Before anyone could say anything else, Mario pulled them all to the couch and sat them down while he stood in front of them. "I-It's fine, you guys deserve the e-explanation." Mario breathed in and out before he started to explain, the others going quiet when he started talking.

~~Flashback~~

Mario was walking back home from a day out with his friends and boyfriend. He had been dating David for around a year and a half to that day and never wanted it to end, nor would he ever trade it for the world. As they were walking home, hands intertwined, they went to Mario's house first as David had offered to walk him home from the park. "See you later, my Emerald~" David purred, kissing Mario's cheek before waving goodbye as he walked back to his own place which was only just down the street. Mario giggled, waving back before he walked into his house where his father waited for him at the floor, a harsh gaze going right through the bean's soul. "And where have you been?" He asked, impatiently, already knowing what his abomination of a son was doing.

"I w-was j-just out with s-some f-friends." Mario muttered nervously, internally whimpering when his father's gaze got even harsher. He had a slight chance that he knew what his father was thinking, but he didn't want to think that his father was that kind of person... A.K.A a homophobe...

"Well, do friends KISS each other and call each other cute nicknames?! I saw what you two just did! That's it!! I am banning you from seeing him ever again! He is turning you into a gay freak and I do not accept this!! Go to your room now until I say you can come back! We're moving and you are not allowed to say goodbye so you don't get corrupted even more..." Mario just froze for a moment, he couldn't believe what his father had just told him. So his father didn't yell at him more, Mario ran to his room and locked the door, flopping onto his bed and crying his heart out.

After about an hour, he reached out to his phone that was on the bedside table, it was there while he went out because it needed charging as he was on it all night (probably from messaging David~). He unlocked it and went to contacts, but that just made him cry even harder. His contacts were deleted from his phone... David, Kit, Michael, Austin... He had no way to contact them at all... His father must be serious about all of this... Luckily his mother accepted him when Mario came out to him. Yes, he said him. Mario's parents... were gay. So it confused him a lot that his father was confronting him and being so against him being gay. Why the fuck would he be against his son being gay... if he was gay himself? What logic is that!

On the day that they had to leave, Mario was crying on the drive away from his home, his friends, his love. They moved to another town that was about 4 hours away from his old home where he started his new schools. Yes, he changed schools every time he got a crush on another boy. In his his heart, he never stopped loving David but believed that they would never meet again, so he tried to like another boy in hopes at forgetting but it never worked. His brain always went to David. His father even tried to get him a therapist but they thought he was crazy for not accepting his son. One of them even tried to adopt the young Mario but they lost in court, seeing as Mario already had his two parents.

Mario always wondered why his mother never tried to speak to him about anything his father has done, but that was until he walked in one day to see his mother on the ground being beaten by his father. Being the intelligent young child, Mario rushed and quickly called the cops. After his father was taken away, his mother and himself had a long hug and tears, happy that they finally got away from that monster of a father. "N-Now what?" Mario asked his mother in a happy and tearful voice, finally feeling free after 2 and a half years of relentless yelling from that monster. "Well, we're gonna send you to that school you've been accepted to~" His mother said, chuckling when he saw his son's excited and cheerful face.

~~Flashback End~~

"A-And th-that's why I h-had to l-leave you g-guys..." Mario whispered the last part, looking to the ground as his eyes watered up again. Everyone on the couch just stared in shock, nobody dared to move or say a word as they processed this newly aqquired information from the teary-eyed bean.

All of a sudden, David hopped up from his seat on the couch and hugged Mario as tightly as he could, his own eyes tearing up at the fact that his 'boyfriend' had such a rough time when they were separated. "I'm sorry that happened to you. From now on, none of us are leaving you. I will not let my Emerald be taken from me again." David swore on his life that he will never be separated from his bean ever again.

Mario hiccuped, hugging David just ad tightly while tears still ran down his face. The others awed at the cute moment but then a question entered the little wolf bean's mind as he thought for a moment about his and David's relationship. "H-Hey David? Are we still... t-together?" Seriously, he still loved David, was forced to move away and they technically never broke up.

Smiling gently, David reached one of hands up and cupped Mario's cheek, looking his Emerald in the eyes. "I would say absolutely, but only if you want to be, Emerald~" Mario smiled brightly, his blushing a little but he didn't care, he was back together with his love, and that was all that mattered to him~.

The two lovebirds slowly leaned in to each other, up until the point where they were touching foreheads and shared the first kiss together since 3 years, rekindling the spark that they had once before.
