But when you press play and let it go for a few seconds, it has the power to kill a man. I did so, just out of habit. My brother talked to me again, reminding him of the promise I made him.

Hello, brother. If you're hearing this, I've died. Or you're just washing my jacket. Either way, I'm sure you have more than a few questions. I can't answer them all here. You just have to listen to this and figure the rest out on your own. Just protect them and wait for them to do their thing. I'll come back, maybe even before you know I'm gone. If I'm not, though, just... Please, please don't tell them about me. Use any means necessary to keep the truth hidden. You're strong. I'm sure you can do it. And if I died, keep them away from Oak. He has what's called a double-soul. A angry, childlike being named Leaf lives within him, occasionally controlling him. Using his body to be violent. I know because I've seen him exhibit all of the symptoms of this deal. It'll work out, I promise. Just wait for it. I love you, little brother. Tears in my eyes, I turned off the device and put it back in my pocket. I know what I must do, if only I could gather the courage go do it.  I opened the door to the outside world, new resolve in my face.
