Vilkas
I stride into my Harbinger's Quarters to only take a look around. I can't believe that Kodlak told me to lead the Companions, more like give advice to the whelps. Just like Eourland has said when I went to deliver Vilkas' sword, "No one rules anyone in the Companions."
All this room reminds me of is Kodlak. I remember when I walked on Kodlak and Vilkas' conversation. His exact words were, "We all do. It is our burden to bear. But we can overcome."
"Are you okay, (Y/N)?" A way too familiar voice said from behind me.
"I honestly don't know, Vilkas. Kodlak's death has affected me the hardest out of all of you. He's appointed me Harbinger of the Companions, but I'm not sure if I'm fit for this position." I say looking at the floor. Vilkas walks around me so he was in front of me. He places both hands on my cheeks and ever so softly lifts my head so our eyes met. I see the moon in his eyes. He's still a werewolf.
"Why would you say that, (Y/N)?" He said in a calming tone.
"I have no experience or wisdom that Kodlak had."
"But you're not Kodlak, (Y/N). You're you. Nobody else. The old man wouldn't have made you Harbinger if he didn't think you had what it takes. His death has affected everyone. He's in Sovngarde because of you and Alea. Not Farkas. Not me, especially me. I was too blinded by grief to go any further. Now tell me why you really don't think you're fit for this position." I stayed silent. Vilkas is right. "That's what I thought."
"Why are you doing this, Vilkas?" I say in a whisper.
"Because I love you, (Y/N). That's why I'm doing this."
"Vilkas, I love you too." Vilkas leans his head in closer where our lips are inches away.
"I know." After that, Vilkas connected our lips together. His lips are softer than baby's skin. Our mouths move in sync like they were meant for each other. I place my hands on his waist.
After a few minutes, we break away. I was longing for Vilkas' lips to be placed on mine again. I lay my head on his chest, hearing his steady heartbeat.
"Vilkas." I say after a moment of silence.
"Yes, love?"
"I realize why Kodlak wanted me to become Harbinger."
"Me too, love. Me too." He said stroking my (h/l), (h/c). This man. This man has taught me how to be Harbinger without even knowing it.
