Gone and Back (Farkas X Reader)

A bright light blinds me as I awake from my slumber. I raise my head up the slightest bit, but pain rushes through my head. I grit my teeth then lay it back down on my pillow. At that moment when I lay my head back down, I feel the extremely strong arm around my bare waist. Wait... WHAT?! MY BARE WAIST?! BY THE NINE!

I look over my shoulder to see... FARKAS! Oh. My. Gods. What the hell happened last night? I need answers like now. I managed to slither my way out of the bed without waking up the sleeping Farkas. I swiftly pull on my undergarments to cover up my breasts and womanhood. I search for my light armor which was scattered around the room.

Once I pull my boots on, I heard Farkas shift in bed. Panic rushes through my body as I swiftly and silently exit the room. I make my way up to the Mead Hall.

As I rise up to the hall, I only hope is that someone will tell me what happened last night. I take my place next to Aela who's having a conversation with Vignar Grey-Mane. I just remained silent until the older man left.

"Sister, are you okay? You've been quiet ever since you arrived at the table." Said Aela.

"What happened last night? It's just a huge blur to me." I ask in a whisper.

"I don't know. I was pretty drunk last night. Ask someone else maybe they'll know." Aela suggested. I nodded then left to find Tilma because I know her really well.

I eventually found her down in the Living Quarters where Ria and them sleep.

"Hey, Tilma. Can you answer a question for me?" I say as I approach her.

"Sure thing, deary. What's on your mind?" Tilma asked with a smile. I take a deep breath then let it out.

"What happened last night? I can't seem to put my finger on what happened." I say.

"You were pretty intoxicated. Well, intoxicated enough to start talking nonsense and wouldn't remember what happened that night. Anyway, Farkas came over to you pretty intoxicated and started kissing you. After a while, the both of you disappeared downstairs." Tilma whispered.

"By the Nine. Tilma, what am I going to do? I slept with Farkas. What if Vilkas finds out? I gotta pack my things and leave for a while. I'm so sorry, Tilma, but I need time alone. If anyone asks, tell them I'm going back to Cyrodiil(sp?)to visit my sick mother." I explain before rushing off to my quarters to pack my things.

Once I finish packing, someone knocks on my door. Curious, I open the door to see Farkas.

"Oh, hello." I say.

"Hello." Farkas said as he saw my stuff on my back. "Where are going?"

"I have to travel to Cyrodiil because my mother is ill. I need to go tend to her." I lie. I tend to bite the inside of my cheek when I lie which wasn't often. I slide past the twin and walked down the hall. Little did I know is that before I left the living quarters, Farkas grabbed my wrist. I didn't make eye contact with him but all I did was sigh.

"Farkas, I need to go. I can't stop to make small talk or anything of the sorts."

"But when are you coming back?" He let my wrist go from his grasp.

"I don't know. But I might have time to write. Take care of yourself, Farkas." I say before leaving. I managed to slip out without anyone noticing me. Once I got towards the bottom, I hear the doors of Jorrvaskr close.

"(Y/N)!" I heard Vilkas shout which only caused my to quicken my pace to a run. I bolted off to the stables, Vilkas still on my trail. Before I hopped onto my horse, Oakley, Vilkas grasped my wrist.

"(Y/N)..." Vilkas started, but I pulled my wrist away from his calloused hands.

"Don't."

"But-"

"No, Vilkas. I'm not staying."

"Just tell me why you're leaving and I'll let you go." He said.

"My mother is ill. My sister and I just heard the news. We need to get her back to health." I lie once again.

"That's a lie, (Y/N)."

"What?"

"That's a lie. First of all, you have a brother named Kai. Second of all, you told me that both of your parents died when you were young." He stated.

"Vilkas, I was adopted. I don't even know my real parents. When I was adopted, the woman who took me in was a mother to me. And Kai isn't my biological brother."

"Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"I don't know."

"Then answer me this, what's the real reason you're leaving?"

"Last night, Farkas and I slept together, but I didn't know until this morning. Before ask, no, your brother and I are not together. Please, don't say anything I've told you now. Farewell, Vilkas." I say getting up on my horse. "Yah." I whispered before Oakley took off.

*1 year later*

I slowly made my way up the steps to Jorrvaskr. When I first entered Whiterun, I got strange looks from the citizens of the town. It was somewhat uncomfortable. Sure, I have a different appearance than before, but I'm still the same (Y/N) everyone knows.

Once at the doors of Jorrvasr, I take a deep breath before entering in the mead hall. All eyes were on me as I closed the door behind me. The first one to walk up to me was Kodlak Whitemane, Harbinger of the Companions.

"Welcome back, (Y/N). It's been a while." Kodlak said, hugging me. I hugged back as I shut my eyes.

"I'm glad to be back, Kodlak. I promise you that I will not run off like that again."

"It's alright, my girl." He said, releasing me from the embrace. "Now, go rest. You've had a long journey." I only nodded before heading off towards my quarters, every pair of eyes on mine until I left the area.

Once my stuff was placed in the places they were originally, I take off my light dragon bone boots, then laid down on my bed. Soon, slumber took over my body.

*Hours Later*

My eyes flutter open, staring up at the ceiling. I sit up on my bed, rubbing my eyes after that. My legs swing over the side of the wooden bed frame. I slip off my light dragon bone armor before dressing myself into a pure white tunic, white pants, and some sandals. I began my way to the training area to just sit on the steps to think about some things.

I got up stairs to the Mead Hall where everyone except for a few people are drunk out of their minds. I managed to slip past everyone and exited the building. I sat on the steps, staring up at the beautiful night sky. Next thing I know is that the doors of Jorrvaskr open then close. Then, somebody sat next to me.

"Hey (Y/N)." The familiar voice said.

"Hello Farkas."

"How have you been over the past year?"

"I've been good. My mother has gotten better. Brother and I went on hunts to earn some gold."

"Brother? You never told me about a brother."

"Farkas, I'm adopted. But that's not way I left Skyrim."

"Then why did you leave?"

"Remember that day when I left." He nodded slowly. "The reason why I left was because I found out that I slept with you." It was silent after I said that.

"I'm sorry. I should've have left. I realize that now. I also realized that I... I love you." I say before a pair of chapped lips was on mine. My eyes fluttered shut. After a few moments, Farkas pulled away.

"I love you too." From that point on it was a start of a brand new relationship.
