Description:
In 1346 the catastrophe known as the Black Death swept through Europe and killed 50 million people. The reason that that number of people died? Because they didn't obey It. It made an offer to all the monarchs of the lands that you could choose to worship It or to watch the place you were ruling crumble until it was merely a shell of its older self. The rulers of Italy, Spain, France, England, Scandinavia and Russia all banded together and refused.

So It retaliated years later. Italy was the first to fall, followed by the rest of Europe. It, thankfully, didn't wipe out all of the humans living in those countries and gave them a second chance after the disaster. They agreed.
Now, in 2041, all of the countries have stopped worshipping and It wants revenge.

Kate Lester, a thirty-year-old epidemiologist, was put into a team of scientists working on figuring out just why the world was acting stranger.
