Six- Connor

Sitting down, I pulled out my notebook and copied down the notes she had left on the board like I was expected to. It took me three minutes.

Fifteen minutes and this was all they did?

I couldn't wait for the class to be over.

When the class was over I felt dumber than I had when I walked into the classroom earlier that morning. My mind instantly went to a quote from the Adam Sandler movie Billy Madison.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Except instead of Mr. Madison it was Mrs. Luccaid.

Laughing quietly to myself, I walked to my next class. Geography. This one I had with Angelina and I wondered how she had fared in her first class. I knew Miss Lairmony, she was one of Grandma's friends. Knowing her meant that I knew just how crazy she was. I felt bad for Angelina. First day at a new school and she had to get stuck with that crazy old bat.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed how horrible all the teachers here are. Either they're stupid, crazy, or just really-

My train of thought was broken when Mr. Brown began to yell.

"Sit down everybody and shut your mouths!" he practically screamed.

Or they're just really, really, annoyingly, loud, I finished the thought.

I looked around the room trying to find Angelina. I wanted to make sure that she hadn't been late to class and I wanted to see her reaction. I found her at the back of the classroom. Her eyes were wide and she looked surprised.

I laughed to myself. Seeing her expression was quite comical.

"First off! We have a new student!" Mr. Brown yelled and pointed to the back of the classroom to Angelina. "Why don't you come up and introduce yourself?"

Hesitantly, Angelina walked to the front of the class and told us who she was and where she was from.

"That's it? Give us something more!" Mr. Brown yelled.

Angelina looked almost scared. I gave her an encouraging smile and she took a deep breath to continue her introduction like the teacher wanted her to.

"Well.. Umm... My favorite color is carmine red. I like photography. I.. I really don't know what else to say," she told us.

Mr. Brown looked disappointed.

"Fine. Go back to your seat then."

Mr. Brown didn't notice, but I did. Angelina was smirking as she walked back to her seat. She had done it on purpose. I smiled at the thought of that. No one like to make Mr. Brown upset and yet she had done it willingly.

I have a feeling that she won't be one to follow the crowd...
