Skylar couldn't focus in class, as he was distracted with thoughts of what happened. He couldn't believe that his mum got bullied, and expected to change. Skylar had always thought his parents had it easy, and that everyone loved them, but after the crazy dream he had, it was far from the truth. He now knew that his parents especially his mum was bullied and tormented.

He couldn't shake it, his parents were the kindest people in the world, Skylar has lost count of how many times his parents let Clay seek refugee there whenever he and Thad had an argument and Clay needed some space, and Skylar has lost count of how many times his mum put her hand up to help in the bake sales when he was in primary school, and his dad volunteering to coach his middle school lacrosse teams when their original coach pulled out, and his dad taking the time out to help his friends on the team who needed more practice, could even remember his mum taking over the school choir whenever the choir teacher was sick and even volunteered to be a vocal teacher.

Skylar always knew that when she was in highschool his mum had always put the new directions first and helped every single person she could. But he never thought that she was bullied at all. Skylar walked out of class when the bell rang and drove to the Lima bean to do his homework in peace. Once he arrived there, he walked inside, sat down and started his homework, but once again he couldn't focus at all. He sighed in frustration and pushed his books aside. And as he did, he heard talking, well more arguing. He looked up and saw his mum and with some members of her old team in the choir room at McKinley, and he was looking in from the hallways.

Skylar was confused as the last thing he knew was that he was at the Lima bean trying to work in his homework. He watched on, and he heard them say to his mum to choose between Jesse and glee club. Which made Skylar upset because he knew that when his uncle Blaine was at Dalton still and Kurt transferred back to McKinley he never got the ultimatum like she did. He hated how they treated his mum, and he knew this particular event happened before his dad arrived in Ohio, and he also knew that Jesse used his mum.

He hated how they treated her and made her sacrifice for the sake of the team even though no one else had too. Skylar watched his mum leave the choir room and followed her where she ended up at Carmel, and saw her interact with not only Jesse but also Shelby, and saw how Shelby treated her. He knew that Shelby was her birth mum, but he didn't know that Shelby never really cared about his mum. Skylar himself was lucky because Rachel loves him and always has, even before he was born. He knew he was the glue and the push that made his parents finally get together after tip toeing around each other.

Skylar was upset and angry at the fact that with everything she did for everyone, no one ever appreciated her, and expected her to change and sacrifice everything for them, but no one else ever sacrificed for her. Skylar instantly felt guilty because he sometimes took his mum for granted. His mum was the most kind hearted woman along with his girlfriend Marley, he ever met. He loved his mum more than anything and he was protective of her too.

It disappointed him that everyone hated her except his dad, uncle blaine and uncle Thad and all the other warblers.

Skylar watched on as his mum was getting made to sacrifice her own happiness. He just wanted to go up to her and hug her tight and tell her that everything will be okay, that she does find happiness in the end. As he watched on he heard his name being called. He looked around and saw noone, and then all of a sudden saw Clay. Skylar sighed in relief and Clay looked at him as he handed him the second coffee and said

"You doing okay, you fell asleep on top of your history textbook, I get history is boring, but it isn't that boring to fall asleep." Skylar  accepted the coffee but wasn't sure if he should tell Clay about what had happened. Skylar held his cup and said

"yeah I'm okay." Clay looked at him and said

"That sounded convincing now spill?" Skylar sighed and said

"the whole me travelling back to the past thing happened again." Clay went wide and said

"And?" Skylar looked at him and said

"I saw my mum get bullied and always having her happiness sacrificed for the sake of the team." Clay thought about it and said

"You know what I think Sky?" Skylar took a sip of his coffee and said

"What do you think? And don't say it's like back to the future." Clay gave him a really look and said

"It's similar Skylar. but no, I think you've been going to the past to understand your parents better, especially your mum." Skylar looked at him confused and said

"Why do you say that?" Clay sighed and said

"You always thought your parents had it easy, and that you are getting it tough because of your parents having you so young.. You don't know what their life was like in highschool. Especially your mum. My dad has always said that he, uncle Blaine, uncle Trent, uncle Nick, and uncle Jeff have always protected your mum before your dad arrived in Ohio. You are getting to see first hand that your mum didn't always have it easy in high school,. You're getting to understand your mum better Sky." Skylar sat there letting his best friend's words sink in, and thought maybe he was right, that he was seeing the past because of always thinking and believing that his parents had it easy in high school.
