Location - the portal network
The two brothers were screaming in terror as they flew through a vortex known as the portal network that connected earth to Skylands.

"WHERE ARE WE GOING?! WHATS EVEN HAPPENING TO US?!" Chario yelled in terror!

"I DONT KNOW BRO I THINK WERE FIND OUT!!!" Twinight yelled back to his brother as he saw light approaching fast.

At calm ancients peak a certain book reading mabu was walking around with Spyro and Camo.

"Ok quick review on my sanity. First the core explodes, then, I start hearing voices, then you guys come back out of nowhere, and now we're back here where the core was destroyed!! Clearly, I am losing my mind!" The book reading mabu stated.

Suddenly a loud cracking was heard in the sky.

"Well Hugo, looks like things are about to get even crazier." Spyro said and he pointed to the Sky.

Out of nowhere, a portal was shown in the sky, shocking Hugo by surprise!

"HUH?!" Hugo abruptly yelled.

Then out of the portal came the two brothers falling fast to the island!

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Both brothers screamed in terror and they landed and made a crater as they crashed.

Hugo ran over there with camo and Spyro, and they saw in the crater.....two kids!

"Spyro, you brought, KIDS HERE?!?!?!" Hugo yelled at the purple dragon in anger!

"Where the heck are we?!" Twinight asked.

"I don't know why don't you ask the bear wearing glasses over there?" Chario responded to his brother as he pointed to Hugo.

"HEY DO I LOOK LIKE A BEAR TO YOU!?" Hugo yelled back clearly offended by the comment that the human said.

Spyro suddenly recognized them along with Camo as the humans from earth who helped send them and the other Skylanders home!

"Chario, Twinight?!" The two dragons yelled simultaneously in shock!

"Spyro, Camo?!" The two boys respond back in shock.

"What are you two doing here?! How are you two here?!" Spyro

"Well you see we-." Twinight was about to explain when Hugo interrupted him

"Hold it!!" The mabu yelled!

Everyone looks at Hugo as they giving him full attention now.

"Thank you, now before we continue I believe introductions and explanations are in order, mainly for WHAT IN EONS NAME IS GOING ON?!" Hugo told the group!

Spyro was the first to speak. "Hugo please meet the two portal masters who are the ones responsible for sending us home from the world we arrived in called earth, this is Twinight and his brother Chario" Spyro introduced the boys to the mabu.

"Hi" Twinight and Chario greeted Hugo.

"Wait you two are the portal masters?!" Hugo was shocked.

"Uhhh I guess?" Chario responded clearly confused.

Camo decided to ask the obvious question.
"How did you guys get here to Skylands?" Camo asked.

"Well we both touched the portal and it shocked us and then we both got teleported here!" Twinight explained, And when he finished talking the two Skylanders and the mabu were all in complete silence from shock.

Silence that was broken by twinight. "Did we do something bad?" He asked.

"YOU BOTH DID WHAT?!" The three yelled in disbelief!

"You two! Portal masters must never use portals on themselves! It can cause big disruptions in the portal network, your both are lucky you two made it here in one piece!" Spyro explained to the brothers in a stern voice.

The two boys were both shocked.

"Besides! We may not have a way to send you both home you two could be stuck here in skylands forever!"

That revelation hit the two boys like a brick wall as they realized they might never see their home or family again....

"I Blame you for this bro!!" Chario blurted out loud!

"What how was i supposed to know this might end up being a one way trip?!" Twinight argued.

Chario facepalms himself as he looks away form Twinight! "TWINIGHT YOU SON OF A-!" Chario started to yell at his bro but something happened....a green creature called a chompy came out of the ground and jumped at Chario and bit him in the goodies!

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Twinight yells!

The Skylanders were on full action when they saw the chompy!

"CHOMPY!!!" Camo and Spyro yelled at the top of their lungs and they both immediately ran to the chompy and got it off of the human boy and then Chario fell down and held onto his goodies, groaning in intense amounts of pain!

"Chario you ok?!" Twinight pleaded in worry as he was at his brothers side immediately!

"My......goodies...." Chario let out a weak two words.

Several minutes later

After that mess was sorted the two were brought over to the courtyard where Flynn along with stealth elf and sunburn just got back from a mission to rescue a mabu named Cali.

"Huh?" Chario muttered.

When the balloon lands a bunch of sheep emerge from it and they surround Hugo much to his anger and fear.

"BACK!!! BACK YOU VILE BEASTS!!!!" The mabu yelled as threw a stick to distract the sheep and the sheep ran to the stick.

Two mabu and the two Skylanders that were with them exit the balloon's basket and go to Hugo
"Honestly Hugo, they're just sheep!" The female mabu spoke to Hugo with an annoyed voice.

"That is where your wrong my dear Cali. These creatures may appear to be friendly, cuddly and fluff. But turn your back on them and they turn into wretched lint-balls with beady little eye staring at your every move!" Hugo explained his position on how sheep were evil and all the Skylanders rolled their eyes.

Twinight leaned to his brother snd whispered "And I thought flat earthers were weird"

His brother let out a chuckle as the mabu talked.

"Sorry about the lint-balls Hugo but we were able to rescue Cali." Flynn boasted.
"Actually, it was the skylanders who rescued-." Cali starts to correct Flynn but the pilot had other ideas.
Flynn laughs and then spoke "Oh how Cali, stop with the praise,it's embarrassing. Entirely appropriate, but embarrassing."

"HEY! Could we please get into the important things!?" Hugo yelled but before that could happen a sound of a hand clap drew everyone's attention to Twinight and Chario.

"Uh excuse me I hate to interrupt but I believe that introductions are in order?" Twinight told them.

"Oh, my apologies. I'm Hugo, and this is Cali, and this is Flynn." Hugo introduced everyone

"You left out the best pilot in all of Skylands part Hugo. That's the most important thing about me." Flynn boasted about himself which immediately won over Chario as his eyes sparkled with admiration but as for his brother he wasnt convinced.

Twinight leaned over to Spyro. "I'm guessing I shouldn't take Flynn's words seriously?" The boy whispers to the dragon.

"Yep" Spyro whispers back to confirm the boy's question.

Twinight then introduces himself and his brother. "Well it's great to meet you all I'm twinight and this is my brother, and we're portal masters from earth as of a few minutes ago I guess" the boy introduced himself and his brother.

Twinight went over to shake hands with cali. "pleased to meet you miss Cali" he says as he holds his hand out to the girl.

The girl mabu shakes the boys hand as she smiles. "Nice to meet you too Twinight" she greeted back.

"Well nice to meet the both of you at least, I'm pretty sure that you are honored to meet the most handsomest and greatest pilot in Sky-." Flynn was boasting until being interrupted by a certain mabu.

"AHEM!!!!" Hugo interrupted.

"Well kids it looks like the fun's over" Twinight joked about Hugo's statement and it made all the Skylanders present laugh especially zap who was on the floor laughing up a storm.

"hehe, that's a good one honestly" boomer chuckles as he compliments the boys humor.

"....I don't get it" a certain mabu pilot said aloud.

"GUYS!!!! FOCUS!!!!!" Hugo yelled again!

"Ok ok ok sheesh" twinight says as he rolls his eyes.

Hugo walks over to where the core of light use to be. "While the skylanders were gone along with you Cali, I found the old blueprints for the core of light. The ancients used them when they first built it." Hugo explains!

"Wait a second, I thought you said you built the core of light." Cali spoke as she was confused. Hugo rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Well, yes and no. Yes I said that I did.....but no, I really didn't. The old core was used to repel the forces of darkness. If we can rebuild a new core of light, it should stop kaos from his wicked plan to rule Skylands. Then we can focus on getting rid of those villainous sheep! The far viewer will help us find the parts we need to rebuild the core. But this cursed, overgrown bramble is blocking it off! Could you assist us Twinight and Chario? Clearing the bramble could give us a clue onto the whereabouts of the Eternal Sources we need." Hugo explains to everyone and to the boy from earth.

"Uh Hugo? They're still getting new to this world, they need to catch their breath." zook explained to the mabu

"So!? That doesn't mean they can't help us!!" Hugo responded to zook.

"But what kinda help would we be? We don't even have powers!" Twinight shouted and as if on cue the ruins of the core glowed and the two boys hands start to shine and glow as they both felt a new power surging through them as if they had just unlocked a hidden strength and this caused all those around to gasp as this was the first time in forever that someone had the ability's to wield magic and not just any magic, portal master magic that contained power of all the elements of skylands!

"What in the....?"

"What is this?" Chario asked

"Wait....the power of the ancient portal masters!" Voodood spoke with shock.
"It's inside both of you, Twinight and Chario!" Hex finished voodoods sentence.

Hugo knew something immediately and was filled with happiness "That's it!!! You guys could be portal masters! This is perfect!!" Hugo spoke as He was ecstatic!

"But first, we need to ask you guys..." Spyro said.

"Will you two help us save skylands and become portal masters?" Camo finished Spyros sentence.

But Chario stops the Skylanders right there! "Woah woah woah woah woah woah woah woah, woah!!! Are you kidding!? Us!?!? We're just people!! We're not portal masters, whoever they could be!!" Chario replied to the dragons.

"We're just two kids from earth..." twinight finished his brother words.

"But that's where you're wrong. Your no ordinary kids, your portal masters that saved and brought back the skylanders!! Master Eon would be so proud that you two saved the skylanders and are now here!" Hugo responded to the boy and all the skylanders walk behind Hugo and look at the boys with pleading eyes.

Chario gulps and looks at his brother who was looking back and twinight nods and Chario nods back.

Twinight smirks. "Sounds like an adventure to me! I'm in!" Twinight replies with a smirk.

Chario sighs. "count me in too...I guess....." he responds.
"GREAT!! THANK YOU THANK YOU BOTH!!! hugo shouts as he handshakes the two boys, just a little too much.

Chario was being tossed up and down by Hugo's handshake of excitement. "WoHoHoHoHoah!" He yelped!

"Woah settle down there Hughes!" Twinight yelps as he was being hand shakes excitedly.

"Well Spyro, Camo looks like you two are stuck with us for a while." Twinight joked and The two dragon's chuckled at that comment.

"I guess we are hehe." Camo responds

"This is gonna be one long ride for all of us huh?" Wham-shell spoke.

"Yep, and one long adventure for sure" Warnado responded.

"Alright, now let's go get rid of that bramble!" Chario spoke.

"And sheep!!" Hugo abruptly added.

Everyone starts laughing together at Hugo's comment, this was definitely the beginning of a new era for skylands and the start of a long adventure that would change the course of the brothers live forever!
