Proper meetings

The cafeteria was a good place to talk with other students. Everyone was going about their business that morning as one shared thought filled the room, breakfast. The cafeteria was set up buffet style so students and staff could choose from many different kinds of things to eat. There was more than enough for everyone, which was important since at least three or more of the Skylanders and cadets there had an unruly appetite.

Most of the food consisted of whatever was usually eaten that time of day, primarily breakfast foods such as eggs, bacon, waffles, and french toast to name a few. However other booths had pretty different choices depending on different diets and tastes. Basically alternatives in case a cadet or faculty member had a specific kind of diet. Some of these odd booths included seafood, kelp, stones and jewels, lava rocks, metallic bits and pieces, oil, wood, plants, fungi, bugs, bones, and even little puffy ghosts.

There were plenty of things to choose from, so students were either up and about fixing their first plate, getting their second or third helping, or sitting and chatting with friends. Spyro had sat down with a plate of pancakes with a side of bacon as he waited for his friends to sit down with him. In no time at all, Gill grunt soon joined him with a plate of scrambled eggs with kelp mixed into it and a side of sardines. Spyro would have questioned him, but he knew it was part of what a Gillman ate, so he thought better of it. However neither could just stay quiet as Trigger happy came to the table with the largest sandwich anyone could ever physically make. "Trigger, what the heck!?" Spyro exclaimed, the sandwich literally towering above them. It had everything at the buffet on it. And by everything, that meant everything. Including lava rocks, oil, the works. "Trigger, there is no way in Skylands you can eat..." Gill started, only for Trigger to literally stuff the whole sandwich into his mouth and eat every bit of it in one bite, a small belch following. "You were saying?" The gremlin asked. Spyro and Gill sat there dumbfounded, unsure how to react to it.

Flameslinger finally made his way to the table with a plate of eggs, hash browns, and bacon, confused by the expressions on his roommates faces. "Did I miss anything?" The archer asked. "Just the best meal ever," Trigger explained, "but don't worry, I have enough room for an encore." Though still wearing a blindfold, the archer just stared at the gremlin as he headed off to the buffet, before starting to eat his own food. "I'll admit, few things annoy me, but can you guys finish your plates?" Flameslinger finally asked, the two getting out of their trance and agreeing.

Soon, two other people set their trays down at the table. Spyro looked to see Cynder, along with another girl, only she was a minty green elf. "Hey Stealth," said Flameslinger casually, "these are my roommates." "Hey Flameslinger," they both said, "hey Spyro, said Cynder. "Hello ladies," said Spyro, "what brings you all here?" "I was just wanting to talk is all," said Stealth, "also to get Flame here used to crowds somewhat." "Wait... What?" Asked Flameslinger. Two other girls sat down at the table, a blue unicorn dragon and a goldling, and Trigger happy returning with a slightly smaller sandwich this time, though it was still massive.

While everyone around him began introducing each other and socializing, Flameslinger drooped his ears. Not only was he surrounded by all the cadets a faculty in the cafeteria, but also by seven other people.

"This is going to take a while to get used to..." Flameslinger mumbled as he reluctantly, but slowly tried joining the conversation.
