INT. TURNER'S LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

Skye and Logan come downstairs with Skye's bag. Everyone is gathered in the living room. Skye and Logan drop off her last piece of luggage with the others.

NICK

Ready to go?

SKYE

Yes.

She looks around the room at all of the sad faces.

SKYE (CONT'D)

No. I can't do this. I can't leave you guys. There are moments when I do want to fly far far away, but the pros of staying outweigh the cons. I have my whole life to think about my future. Right now, I want to cherish every day I have with you because the simple, everyday moments are the ones I'll miss the most.

There's a united sigh of relief.

SARAH

I knew it! I knew you wouldn't be able to go through with it.

CHASE

I seem to recall differently. In fact, you owe me five bucks.

SARAH

Maven, pay him five bucks.

Maven begrudgingly gives Chase the money.

MAVEN

I hope you're prepared to walk because that was our gas money.

SARAH

Maybe if you weren't joy riding halfway across town, we wouldn't be in this situation.

MAVEN

Maybe next time you could drive and show me how to do a better job.

Sarah and Maven continue to argue.

LOGAN

It's good to have you back, sis. Hey, Chase, another round?

CHASE

Set her up.

Logan and Chase start playing a raucous video game.

JANICE

Who wants veggie chips and kale dip?

She exits into the kitchen. Nick observes the madness.

NICK

Are you sure you're going to miss all this?

SKYE

I wouldn't change it for the world.
