FADE IN:

INT. TURNER LIVING ROOM - DAY 2

Logan lies on the sofa under a blanket. Skye enters ready for school.

LOGAN

Uh oh. I think I'm coming down with the flu.

SKYE

You may be a pro at watching television, but you are less convincing than the cast of Zombinapped.

Logan tosses the blanket and gets up, fully dressed.

LOGAN

Man. I was hoping that if mom and dad thought I was sick, they'd ease up on the punishment.

SKYE

You almost burned down the house.

LOGAN

By doing something good. Is that really the lesson they want to teach me?

Chase enters the front door in his PJ's with his backpack.

CHASE

If anyone needs me, I will be unconscious on your couch.

He drops his bag and flops down on the sofa.

LOGAN

You have the flu now?

CHASE

Yup. My aunt and uncle didn't want me to contaminate the house so they sent me to yours. 

LOGAN

(bitter) Lucky you.

He exits.

SKYE

Get well soon. The sooner we can get rid of you, the better.

Skye starts to leave.

CHASE

Before you go, can you hand me my water bottle? It's in my bag.

Skye moves to his backpack. She digs inside and pulls out a slimy zombie hand. She glares at Chase, disgusted. Chase smiles and kicks back.

CHASE

Feeling better already.
