INT. KING LIVING ROOM - LATER

Sarah and Maven are still battling each other in the game.

SARAH

All right. You want to play? Don't say I didn't warn you.

On the screen, Sarah's character shoots Maven's character. Maven's character drops.

MAVEN

That was my last man. I'm dead.

SARAH

What?

Her game character moves over to Maven's character.

SARAH(CONT'D)

No. It wasn't supposed to be this way. I let my anger get the best of me, and look what it's done. I'm sorry.

MAVEN

No. (coughs) I'm sorry. The whole thing was my fault. I should have used better vocabulary. I'm just sad it has to end like this.

SARAH

I will never leave you.

MAVEN

Save yourself.

His character fades away.

SARAH

Nooooo!

Sarah turns to Maven.

SARAH

I'm sorry.

MAVEN

I'm sorry too.

They hug it out. A shot is heard. They look at the screen.

SARAH

Someone just killed me.

MAVEN

At least we get to be together again. In a better place.

SARAH

Round two?

MAVEN

Oh yeah.

They restart the game.
