INT. MOUNT SPRINGS CAFETERIA - LATER

Chase sits alone watching a student unpack his lunch. Sarah and Maven join him on either side. Maven eats in moody silence.

SARAH

Hey, Chase. Cuz. Since Logan's home taking care of Skye, I thought you might like some company.

CHASE

Nope. I'm good.

SARAH

Come on. This will give us time to bond. We live in the same house and we rarely spend time together.

CHASE

After you said my hobbies are a waste of time that could be spent on grooming, I kind of got the hint.

Sarah feels his eyebrows.

SARAH

They are getting a little bushy.

Chase waves her away. He looks at the table of the student he was spying on. He's gone.

CHASE

You made me miss the reaction. Now he's going to puke, and I won't be there to see it. Why are you even here? Usually, you two are cuddled up together at your own table and I'm the one who's losing my lunch.

SARAH

Why would I want to cuddle up with someone who called me stupid?

MAVEN

I never called a certain someone stupid. I said she was uneducated. There's a difference.

SARAH

Maybe someone should educate themselves on what not to say to a person.

CHASE

You two aren't speaking again, are you?

MAVEN

What gave you that idea?

He stuffs his mouth.

CHASE

And now that Skye's not around, I'm the mediator.

SARAH

Trust me. You don't have to worry about mediating anything because I don't have one word to say to him.

MAVEN

Don't get my hopes up.

Sarah scowls at him.
