Chapter 8
A.P.V
"Do you know how worried I was?" He said, pacing back and forth. "I don't know what I would of done if you were hurt."
"I'm not though." I said, as I watched him."The man said I was perfectly fine."
"Regardless of what the man said," My father said, as he stopped in front of his desk. "I'm having Natalie call your personal Doctor."
He wrote down a note on a piece of paper and added it to a growing stack, which was a set of task Natalie would have to complete.
"Until your appointment we will have to limit your activities." He sighed, as he slicked back his slightly disheveled hair. "I'm thinking no fencing, and limit your language session to 1 hour instead of two."
My hopes rose at the thought of having more free time to do as I wished. Unfortunately they were quickly dashed.
"We'll also have to lower your physical movement." He said. "You'll be limited to just your room until I'm absolutely sure you're fine."
"How long will that take." I mumbled. He looked up from his work, and stared at me.
"What did you say?" He asked, putting down the paper he had just picked up.
"I said how long will that take?" I said, raising my voice a bit. He narrowed his eyes.
"As long as I deam neccessary." He said, standing tall. "Your safety is of the utmost importance to me."
"Atleast you care about some aspect of my life." I said scoffing. I could see anger flaring in his eyes as he walked toward me.
"Adrien Agreste! I care deeply for you and your life." He said looking down at me. I stood and looked him in the eyes.
"That's not what your actions say." I said, clenching my hands. "And you've always told me actions speak louder than words."
He was silent for a moment before he raised his hand and pointed to the door.
"Get. Out." He said, his emotions becoming invisible once again. I watched him for a moment before I turned and walked out the door, slamming it behind me.

Gabriel Agreste sighed and took of his glasses, tired of arguing with his son. He slid them into his pocket before pulling out a small locket.
The chain was made out of silver, a now rare metal in Pari. Hanging of the chain was a purple jewel, that glistened in the sunlight, and whispered secrets only Gabriel heard.
"I'm sorry I've let our son drift so far." He said flipping open the locket. Inside was a picture of a young lady with golden locks and green eyes. "If only he knew what I was fighting for..."

I jumped in shock as Nadja honked the horn of her Mobile. She glanced at me, surprised at my reaction.
"Is everything alright Marinette?" She asked, as the automobile inched slowly forward through traffic. "You seem a bit jumpy."
"Yah, I'm alright." I said, clearing my thoughts. "I'm just a little spooked from the events earlier."
Nadja gave me a look of sympathy before slamming her foot on the brakes. She pumped the horn again a few times before sticking her head out the window.
"Just go already!" She yelled at the vehicle in front of us. "You're blocking traffic!"
The driver yelled something back but seemed to have no intention of moving.
"I swear..." Nadja muttered to herself. "One second Marinette. I'm going to see wasn't stopping this guy from moving."
I nodded in response as she turned of the vehicle and stepped onto the pavement. I watched as she walked up to the vehicle in front of us and began talking with the man in the truck. Curious as to what they were saying, I stuck my head out the window.
"Damage up ahead- traffic stopped-" I caught from the man's side of the conversation. Nadja said something about going into make a report before she turned back to the car.
I quickly tucked my head back on as she opened her door.
"Sorry Marinette." She said, giving me a light smile. "This looks like as far as I can take you. Traffic up ahead has come to a complete stop due to damage."
"It's alright Mrs. Chamack." I said, opening my door, and stepping out."You got me as close to home as you could given the circumstance."
"I'm glad I was able to help." She said, sighing. "Oh that reminds me. You'll have to let your mother know that I won't be picking up Manon umtil much later tonight. Unfortunately, the radio station will want me doing alot of extra broadcasts."
"Sure, thing. Thank you for the ride!" I said, as I waved to her. She waved back before she started her vehicle, turned it around and went weaving back the way she came. A small smile escaped me before I took a deep breath and began my walk down the street toward the bakery.
