or in which park soon deok has been in love with tenth prince wang eun her whole life, but he's never been interested in her. meanwhile, she has never noticed the boy watching her from afar, while she watched his brother.

kim taehyung as wang han, eleventh prince of goryeo. he is a full brother to tenth prince wang eun of goryeo. the other princes are his half brothers. he has had a crush on park soon deok his entire life. and through all that time, he has watched her loving his older brother from afar.

z.hera as park soon deok, daughter of grand general park. she is the older sister of park hak soon, and has always been in love with wang eun, though the tenth prince has never shown an interest in her. she is oblivious to the fact that prince wang han is in love with her.

so i asked if you all would read a side story about han and soon deok, and you all said yes. so i feel hyped up for this. so i had to post it.

literally, the title is random as hell and the blurb quote also has nothing whatsoever to do with the plot. i may work it into the story at some point, but maybe not. i usually pick titles at random, like i will go through my playlist and choose one that sounds aesthetic-y and just go with it. 

like this one is from a song in one of my fave movies "cinco de mayo: la batalla de puebla". and the song comes on the night before the battle takes place in the movie, and i just thought the lyrics were so sad and endearing at the same time.

they were fighting against the french to keep mexico a free country bc the french wanted to invade. and so the lyrics (which are in spanish, but i translated my fave part for the blurb) talk about painting a sky without clouds.

to me that's like, clear skies, meaning good times and good days. they wanted god to paint them clear skies in their times of trouble. and then it says (paint me a sky without clouds), and a land without sorrows." because in those says they had just fought off the spanish for freedom (1810-1821) only to have the french come in and try to invade (1862). thats some bullshit.

they just wanted their freedom, a land without sorrows.

sorry, i am a history major and history just gets me so hyped. but since han and soon deok are military people, i thought they would know what its like to want a land without sorrows, since they've probably seen much of it on the battle fields. especially han who i wrote as a character who spent so much of his life (from a young age) on the battle fields.

anyway, i hope you enjoy this story. and i hoped you enjoyed that little history lesson/rant.
