Ian's pov

I walked by Skylar's room and heard her pacing and muttering to herself again. I knocked on the door. "Skylar, are you ok?"

If she was ok do you think she'd be pacing and muttering to herself?

Shut up will you.

She opened the door, "Oh, hey Ian, yah I'm good, I'm just worried about Lilly and the others."

I saw consern in her brown eyes. Her long black brown hair was drawn back into a ponytail and she had on her usual blue shirt with black and gray hoodie, and her black and white shoes. Her dark blue headphones with the black lining were around her neck. She also had on her amulet that Sky had given her. It was an budder necklace with an Amethyst in the center. Her sister, Lilly had a similar one, but hers has a sapphire. "I'm sure they're fine Skylar. Your sister is with them, so you know that they'll be protected."

"I just wish I had tagged along. I'm just as good a fighter as Lilly, we trained together with Sky."

"That's why you need to be here. With Ty and Lilly gone. We need another strong fighter to stay and help protect the kingdom." I said trying to calm her down. Both Skylar and her sister are Ender hybrids. I may not trust them fully, but Sky does, so I will not go against his judgment. No one would train two Enders so Sky took them in. From what I saw, he treated them like family.

"Thanks Ian, I just hope they come back soon."

"So do I, now get some sleep. I'm sure they'll be here by morning. She nodded and went to bed. I hope to Notch I'm right.

Oh, I'm sure they'll show up  eventually.

They always do.

~~Timeskip to when the team returns~~

I was in my room, about to go to bed when Quintion came running in. "They......they're back.....something's......wrong...... Tyler, he's.....not.....he's not with them......nor is Sky." He said through gasps.

My heart started pounding out of my chest. "What do you mean he's not with them? Didn't Tyler go?" I asked. "I thought they were going to get Sky back."

"Come see for yourself. They're almost at the gates." He replyed running out of the room.

I ran after him. Half the kingdom were at the main doors waiting for them. I pushed my way to the front, and saw the team, well, most of it. Quintion was right, neather Tyler nor Sky were with them. They were all bleeding and staring at the ground. Jerome was carrying something that I couldn't see through the swarm of people who had pushed by me. From the gasps, it didn't sound good. Lilly looked to be on the verge of tears. As they came into ear-shot, everyone started asking questions. Ty, Seto, Mitch, and Jerome tried to answer as many as they could while they walked by. I noticed Lilly was just pushing through the crowd. "Lilly, what's wrong? What happened?" I asked as she walked by.

She looked at me, tears filled her eyes. "They're gone. Both of them, gone." She wispered just loud enough for me to hear. She ran off to her room and left me staring after her in shock.

Gone? What did she mean gone?

Missing, currupted, dead, the possibilities are endless.

You mean that Tyler and Sky....

Are most likely dead, yes.

I told you you wouldn't like finding him... you didn't belive me.

...You're right, I dont. And I won't until I see it for myself.

Then look.

I turned around to face the team, Jerome was right next to me. I stared at what he had in his hands. He had Tyler's body, his chest was covered in blood and his eyes were closed. As I looked closer, I realized he wasn't breathing. I looked up at Jerome and he looked away.

"We'll explain what happened later. Now, we need to tell the kingdom that the king has fallen to Herobrine, and that Tyler is dead."

I took a involitary step backwords and shook my head. No. Tyler can't be dead. And Sky, he would never fall to him, he would never obey him willingly.

I tried to warn you...

Shut up.

Now one of your friends is dead, and the other, the king of all people, is now serving Herobrine.

Shut up.

And you know what? This is only the begining. More death will come, more pain, suffering. And you know who will cause it?

Don't you dare.

Don't worry, I'm not your biggest problem right now. Your king is, and so is Herobrine.

I leaned against the wall and stared at the ground. I stood there and thought about what I was going to do. Their's nothing I can do is their? I looked up to see the team telling the kingdom what happened in the Nether. From what I heard, it didn't sound good. I heard things like 'The king has fallen to Herobrine' and 'He murdered one of his friends'.

After a while of me listening to this nonsense, I left the room. I couldn't handel it anymore. That's it. We're gonna find and stop Herobrine once and for all. Or we're gonna die trying!

WHAT? no...no no no. You are NOT dragging me into this one. I am not dieing to save some murderer!

You have no choice, I'm gonna try to save my king, my friend, even at the cost of my life.

I'll make sure your last few moments are quiet ones.

Skylar's pov

I stood at my window and watched the chaos unfold below me. The team had returned, and with one less person then they set out with. Lilly had ran to her room, so I decided to go talk to her. I walked to her door and knocked. "Lilly? It's Skylar." I heard her half muttering half crying to herself before she said I could come in. "Are you ok?"

She shook her head. She sat in her chair by her desk with the amulet that Sky had given her in her hand. She was looking at it like it caused her pain. "They're gone. Both of them, gone, and it's my fault."

"What do you mean 'they're gone'? Who is? How is it your fault?"

"Sky, he's a brine now. He turned thinking that we weren't coming, that we didn't care. The look he gave me. It's like he didn't even know who I was." She wispered.

"How, how do you know?"

She looked up at me with her dull eyes. "The look in his eye, it was a look of pure hatred, a look of revenge. He doesn't think we care anymore Skylar."

I kneeled in front of her. "That doesn't make sense, he knows we care, that we'd come for him no matter what."

"Not anymore. He doesn't even reconize us. H-he...he didn't reconize Tyler when, when." Tears filled her eyes again treating to fall. "He didn't reconize Tyler when he killed him."

I sat stunned for a moment. "What? What do you mean 'when he killed him'?"

"I MEAN, TYLER'S DEAD, SKY KILLED HIM, HE KILLED HIS ONE OF  BEST FRIENDS! HE TRIED TO KILL ME! AND HE WOULD HAVE IF TYLER HADN'T STOPPED HIM! AND YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M NEXT! HE'S GONNA KILL ME TO!" She shouted through tears. "Skylar, Tyler's gone. No matter how hard I tried to stop Sky from attacking us, my loyalty to my king, my friend, got in my way. Tyler's dead and it's my fault."

I felt anger build in my chest. "You didn't stop him? You didn't try to save Tyler? You didn't even try to stop Sky from killing him, did you?" I was so angry that I didn't realize I turned into my Ender form. "I LOOKED UP TO BOTH OF THEM! NOW THEY'RE GONE! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HELP, HUH? YOU SAT THERE AND WATCHED TYLER DIE! YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY DID YOU?"

Lilly had shrank back in her chair. She looked at me and straightened. "No, I did try, I tried and failed. Their was nothing I could do. I'm sorry."

"No, you're not." I said before walking out of the room. I retracted my wings and felt some anger lift. It's not her fault, how can she control this? I turned around to see Lilly grabbing her bag and turning into her Ender form. "What are you doing?"

"I'm leaving. What's the point of trying to help a kingdom who doesn't even care? I'm going to help Sky, and I'm gonna do it alone if I have to."

"Lilly, stop. I'm not mad at you. I'm ticked at Herobrine. This is his fault, not yours." I walked over to my sister who was about to cry. I hugged her and we went back to our human forms. "We'll find Herobrine, and we'll stop him. You and I both know that the team has our backs, even if no one else does. We'll save Sky, and we'll defeat Herobrine once and for all, and we'll do it together. This will all be over, and we will have our king back."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's ok. I know I wouldn't have been able to do anything eather." I pulled away and picked up her amulet that she had thrown on her bed. "Wear this, this is the only thing we have left of him. Wear this and weld the Budder sword knowing we will get him back."

Lilly took the amulet, put it on and sheathed her sword. She put her dimond one in her closet. "We have to save him."

"And we will. Skyarmy recrutes don't give up easily. And we are Skyarmy recrutes."

Lilly hugged me again. "Thanks, you always know how to help me through these things."

"You're welcome. Now, I think you need to help the team explain what happened. And we need to bury Tyler."

She nodded and we left the room. We will save you Sky, I promise.

Welp it's offical, Tyler's dead. Who will be next? Will Skylar and Lilly gain the kingdoms trust long enough to save their king? How can they possibly protect the kingdom and eachother?

Hero: well, one less person to kill.

Hero! Tyler will be missed by us all. We will give him a proper funeral (viking style cuz why not) and we will kill Herobrine to avenge all those who he has killed.

Hero: O_O in the book right.....

Yes Hero, in the book. You're way too much fun to kill. *gets all demonic* unless you have a death wish, in that case, I'll gladly ablige to killing you.

Hero: uh...nope, I think I'm good.
