a big mistake...

Seto's pov

Separated. Great. Just what we all needed. To be in separate cells. I sighed and fiddled with one of my blaze rods. I could hear Jerome howling down the hall. Mitch was next to me trying to calm him down. Sure, we haven't been here long, a few weeks, an month maybe, but to us, it could've been a year. Who knows how Tyler feels. "Hey blaze. I'm talkin to ya. You listenin?"

I shook my head and looked at the cell in front of me. "Huh? Oh, sorry Tyler....wasn't listening..."

He rolled his eyes and stared at the ground. "Yah, I noticed." We sat in silence, staring down the hall. "Someone's here..." he muttered.

"What? Who?" I asked walking to the bars of my cell.

"I don't know...but they're powerful....all of them..."

"Them?"

"That's what I said."

I sighed and continued looking down the hall. Tyler had been acting strange lately...he's been showing more powers. Still can't put my finger on what he was turned into, but it was definitely something, something powerful. "Oh come on Sky! Just tell us what's wrong!" I heard Jason practically beg as I heard footsteps come twords us.

"I told you True, I'm fine. Now let's drop it." Sky growled stopping in front of my cell. "What the Nether? Seto?" I nodded, to shocked to speak. His eyes were back to yellow. Did the spell wear off? "Well, I must say, it's a bit of an improvement." He said smiling.

I growled a little. "Oh shut up Skybrine!"

He pretended to look hurt. "Ouch Seto, ouch. The feels, they have been hurt..."

I glaired at the brine practicality wishing him dead. "Brine's have no fellings! I thought I got rid of you!"

"Now, that's no way to talk to your king Seto." Jason sneered.

"HE'S NOT MY KING! HE'S A MONSTER WHO SHOULDN'T EVEN BE!" Sky's joking expression turned cold and he walked away. Tears in his eyes. Jason and Ty ran after him glaring at me as they ran by.

Tyler chuckled. "Wow, way to make the prince of the Nether cry. Honestly didn't think it was possible. Good job." He smiled and slowly aplaudded me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked still staring after them.

"You idiot. Put the pieces together. That spell should've gotten rid of his Brine side unless...."

"Unless...unless he was born with it..." I finished as I realized my mistake. "But, what does that have to do with anything?"

Tyler sighed. "Honestly, how did you even become a general? He was born a brine, hence his Brine side, and the only living Brine is.....the Lord himself."

I mentally facepalmed myself. He's Herobrine's son, that's why...but why didn't he tell us?...."Wait...how did you know?"

He hesitated. "I uhh....have my ways..." He answered as Ty and Jason returned, Sky nowhere in sight. They unlocked everyone's cell but mine and walked away.

"HEY! WHAT ABOUT ME?"

"The 'monster' wants to speak with you....alone." Ty growled glancing over my shoulder, before leading everyone out of sight.

I sighed and leaned on the wall staring out at the empty cells. Just great, they're leaving me here to die aren't they?

"Now, why would I order them to do that?" I jumped and spun around. My blaze rods spinning around me, and my hands glowing bright yellow. I scanned the cell and at first saw nothing. I thought I was nuts, but saw Sky's glowing eyes. "So, a monster that shouldn't even be huh?" He asked looking away. "Is that how you see me? A freak? A monster?"

"I.....I did..." I replyed starting to shake. My hands stopped glowing and the rods around me slowed down. "I did think you were a monster..." I said honestly. Sky nodded and said nothing. "What is it that you wanted anyway?"

He looked at me. His eyes staring into my soul. I gulped and silently begged for him to have mercy. "Why do you think I'm a monster? You already know it wasn't me who really killed him, so why do you still see me that way? The same reason you see my father this way? Or is it something more...personal?" He growled the last word as if it left a bad taste in his mouth.

I thought for a moment. Why do I think he's a monster? It wasn't his fault that Tyler 'died' so why? "I....I don't know..."

He chuckled. "You don't know? How can you not know?" He scoffed slightly and grabbed my arm. "You might want to close your eyes."

"Why?"

He smiled. "Ever teleported before?"

I shook my head. He just smiled and the whole world blurred. I felt my stomach shift and I felt like I was gonna be sick. Just great. I shut my eyes tightly and when I opened them again I was on the ground. Sky kicked me and I stood up. "What was that for?"

He leaned closer to me and wispered, "It's what monsters do." He stood and walked away. "Come on True, Dead, we gotta join the others.

"What about them?" Jason asked pointing to the generals who were shaking in fear, including Tyler, he just stared at Sky with fear.

Sky turned around and glaired at us all. "Let them figure it out for themselves, we have bigger fish to fry. Come on." He spun around and ran off into a war that we had no clue was going on. I was tempted to follow them, but fear kept me in place.

"Hey blaze. You ok?" Tyler asked helping me up.

I kept my eyes glued on Sky as he ran with Ty and Jason. "I...I think I just lost my king...."

Sky's pov

I was about to walk away when Jason stopped me. "What about them?"

I turned around and scanned the tarrified generals. They all looked at me with fear, all of them. They see me as a freaken monster. Don't blame them. According to their myths, I am. "Let them figure it out for themselves, we have bigger fish to fry. Come on." I spun on my heel and ran to my father.

"Why did you leave them behind?" Ty asked running beside me.

I looked at him and back to the war. "Because, sometimes the best thing is to let go of your past, and just continue. They want to see me as a monster? Let them, I don't care. After this I'm not going back with them. Let them live in fear, let them all live on thinking I'll come back."

"Will you?" Jason asked running on the other side of me.

"Of corse, but only when I'm needed. I love each and every one of my recrutes and generals, I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world...but if they can't look at me without fear in their eyes, then I can't lead them." They said nothing, so we continued running. We ran to the middle of the battle where I saw Entity. My eyes widdened as I neared and realized who was at the end of his blade. "DAD!"
