Part 38

"Finally, God Sky how long does it take for someone to open a god damn door." He said as he walked into living room shoving his jacket off and hanging it on the coat rack. I watched as he walked out into the kitchen rubbing his arms, trying to warm up. I stayed near the door hiding in the shadows that the space gave me. I didn't want to face the reality quite yet, I didn't want him finding out yet.  I stayed quite as i heard him place thing in the microwave. "So Sky, its been a while since I've been here. Its still the same though, which is nice. I was able to find the hot chocolate in seconds." he said as he walks back into the living room with two mugs.

"Yeah" I whispered still hidden in the corner.

"What are you doing Sky?" He asked as he walked closer. I stepped back trying to hide more but it wasn't going to work. "Oh my god." he murmured as the mugs crashed to the ground. The sound echoed loudly through out the house as I watched the shattered pieces fly across the ground as the hot chocolate went rolling in all directions.

"I'll get the broom!" I said as I tried to walk around him and the mess. I was over the broken glass when he stopped me.

"Sky, what the hell?" He asked as he stepped back, holding my arm delicately. I stared down at the floor not wanting to see the look on his face. The look of shock, sympathy, or anger was not what I wanted to see. Not from him or anyone, I had gotten enough of that look from Henry and Frank.

"It's nothing" I stated as I pulled my bruised arm away from his grip. My arm ached with the the grip he had, even though is wasn't that tight.

"Sky, what happened? How did you get all these?" He asked as I walked away. I didn't want to deal with this, with him. I know it was going to happen eventually, that I would have to answer him at some point, but I'm so tired. I just want to go to sleep and forget everything. Forget the bruises left on my skin, forget the pain I feel in my chest, and forget the memories that are etched in my mind with permanent ink. "Sky?" He asked again as he followed me.

"It's nothing." I said as I grabbed the broom to clean up the shattered mugs. I turned around to head back to the front door, but James was blocking the way. Of course he had to be a huge jock, where he takes up the whole damn hallway. "move."

"No, not until you explain this" he stated as he grabbed the broom from me. "I'll do this while you explain." I looked away from his demanding eyes, knowing there was no escaping this. Not now, not ever. It just wouldn't be possible, not with how stubborn he is.

"You already know what happened so why should I replay the whole god damn memory if you can already put the puzzle together?" I shouted as I turned around and opened the nearest door. It happened to be Blake's room which is fine since I used to sleep in here with him when I had nightmares, well that is when he is home. Now when he comes home I just stay in my room, fighting the pain alone, so he doesn't have to worry.

"Sky." James said quietly stopping the door from closing with his hand. "When?"

"Just go clean up the mugs" I stated as I stormed over to the window. I stared out at the forest that held paths to the local collage.

"But Sky?" He asked, as the floors creaked with his steps.

"NOW! Before Bennie steps in it!" I shouted as I looked back at him. I could feel the tears building up around my eyes, as the memories flooded back.
